Casa Momo - Ultra-Luxe Oasis
This place can be summed up in one word, grandeur! My wife and i absolutely loved it. If there was one critique it would be the bar stool chairs and bar/table in kitchen doesn’t work. It’s impossible to sit in the chairs and be seated at the table. We didn’t need them anyway I tried to sit there once with was like this is very uncomfortable and just does not work. But it wasn’t a big deal to us because it was so beautiful outside! In the summer that could be different I reckon.

Casa de Papa
Everything was excellent, a very nice place with plenty of space, ideal to go with family and children, very complete, the pool was large, clean and beautiful, the only issue we had was with the air conditioning in one of the rooms, it could not be fixed during our stay

Bright space, private pool in Centro neighborhood.
We had an incident at night and asked for support from Josué to resolve it and despite the time, he sent us to the maintenance to fix it. In less than 30 minutes everything was resolved. Thank you very much Josué for the attention!

Beautiful equipped house in Merida near the T1

★Hacienda Style ★ Pool ♥ BBQ | Netflix | Prkg | AC
I think the most outstanding feature when I compare to other properties in Mérida wAs the layout in terms of privacy for three couples (or small families). It was a very spacious and pretty space and was a lovely place to return to after our adventures, both inside and outside of Mérida You will have to walk a little bit to get to the main action, but we were up for that and wanted to be in a neighborhood. Eduardo and Fabiola were very responsive.

Casa Malfini
Beautiful house in a great central, quiet location, with everything you could want for a few days in Mérida. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Casa Puesta del Sol/2Bed/comfortable/Nice/just like home
Very comfortable and beautiful

Marenta Townhouses 31
The house is beautiful! It has everything you need, the cleanliness is top notch, it has a studio but it is an extremely comfortable third bedroom. I only recommend having a car because the Ubers are very expensive for the distance.
Other great vacation rentals in Merida

Casa Pam, with Swimming Pool
Lovely home - you can tell the owners created this home for themselves, it has high quality furnishings and appliances, and is very comfortable and so pretty. Fast reliable wifi, a well equipped kitchen you can really cook in, powerful ACs and large dip pool to cool off in. A couple of things weren’t working well but Jacky was super responsive and got them quickly fixed. The showers run out of hot water if you take too long — this is quite common here. The kitchen area gets ants so I always wiped everything down thoroughly — this is also common in Merida. I miss this house and am planning a return.

North zone / big house / fast wifi
Excellent accommodation. As described. The house is very spacious and the rooms are very comfortable. Climate in perfect condition. The pool and terrace are very comfortable for cooling off. I would definitely stay there again.

Casa Maya, full of nature and a private pool!
Excellent stay thanks to José and his beautiful house that is very well located, it is just like the photos and even the pool patio is larger than I thought, which was incredible :) the area is very safe and quiet.

1 Nice, central apartment, comfortable and clean. PB
I was very satisfied during the stay, everything was nice, comfortable, accessible and very clean. Our host was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend it.

Your guide to Merida
All About Mérida
Sprawling plazas, jewel toned turn-of-the century architecture, vibrant music scenes, and mouthwatering dishes are just a few of the things that await you in the historic city of Mérida. Located roughly 3.5 hours west of Cancún, Yucatán’s capital city immerses you in the peninsula’s rich culture by giving you a peek into life beyond its quintessential white sand beaches.
Enjoy the peace provided by shady palm trees and cool stone benches in the many plazas splattered across town. Take in the sights, smells, and unforgettable tastes of Lucas de Galvéz market, with its stalls piled high with fresh tropical fruits and the aroma of fried panuchos (tortillas with beans, pulled meat, and pickled cabbage). The food scene here is different from anything you’ll find in the rest of the country, due to its strong Spanish, Mayan, and Caribbean influences.
And if you’re looking for day trip ideas, neighboring UNESCO World Heritage sites Chichen Itza and Uxmal make Mérida the perfect base for exploring the abundance of culture Yucatán has to offer.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Merida
Your best bet to enjoy everything Mérida has to offer without worrying about rainy weather would be to book your apartment rental from October to March, with January being considered the high season. June to September boasts warm weather as well, but be warned it can be relatively humid during this time. Planning your trip for January will give you the chance to take part in Mérida Fest. A lively festival lasting several weeks, the city’s eponymous celebration commemorates its founding by reveling in local art, music, and theatre. It’s also worth taking a look at whichever dates Carnaval happens to fall (typically right before Lent), as Yucatan’s capital promises to be one of the most popular in Latin America.
Top things to do in Merida
Cenotes
Coming from the Mayan word dzenot meaning “sacred well”, these spellbinding pools are a refreshing respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. No two cenotes are alike, with some providing a fully open-air experience surrounded by greenery while others have a closed top, creating a more cave-like or grotto feel. With over 6,000 cenotes across the peninsula, you are sure to find one that feels just right.
Pok Ta Pok
Every Saturday, locals gather to watch one of the oldest sporting games in the province for free. Pok Ta Pok — an ancient ritual of the Maya people to honor their gods and give thanks — consists of getting a 9-pound rubber ball through a hoop on the wall using only your thighs or hips. The sport has gained popularity in recent years and pays homage to the city’s history.
Cochinita pibil
Contemporary Yucatecan cooking combines Mayan flavors with Spanish and Cuban influences, creating mouthwateringly unique dishes that will stay with you long after your tan has faded. While you’re here, try cochinita pibil, a dish that encapsulates this fusion of flavors — pork is marinated in fresh orange juice with annatto seeds and achiote paste, then wrapped in banana leaves and slow-cooked in a fire pit until the meat becomes fall-off-the-bone tender.
