Join me, a Cuban visual artist, for a unique art lesson in Mérida’s historic Barrio de Santiago, where you’ll learn how to sketch or paint using watercolor, charcoal, ink, or graphite. Join me for a series of guided visits to galleries, workshops, and vintage stores to explore Mérida’s wildly creative design scene, which is evolving along with the city while honoring the region’s Mayan traditions. • We’ll start at Paseo 60, a complex of shops, to see clothing, textiles, jewelry, and home décor made by artisans from Maya communities. • Next, we’ll visit several artists’ studios to admire Ernesto Sánchez and Evgenia Korotchenko’s sculptures, followed by a spin through Casa I Mo, a store dedicated to midcentury modern design. • Next, we'll visit B&G Local, a vibrant workshop and showroom showcasing the work of talented local fashion designers. History walking tour at colonial Mérida

We'll walk in Merida's downtown (between 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group) to know a little bit of Yucatan's histroy, where we'll stop to talk about the events that took place in the different historical points included in the tour. A walk over the walls

To start, we will meet and begin the walk at the stairs of the Campeche's Catedral We will walk it all over the down town while I talk about it's history and importance for the City. Since there are at least 7 Strongholds or "Baluartes", we will walk, clockwise, around the city's centre to know each of them. In the noon we will be able to stop for lunch and we may eat some traditional dish of this region. Once finished the "Baluartes" walk, at the afternoon, we are going to watch the Campeche's City's famous sunset. No words can describe it. Campeche is a place where the old colonial buildings and the afternoon light match very well for excellent pictures. No need to be a pro if you want great photos.

Amazing Haciendas and the Best Cenotes

Postulated as the best experience in Yucatan in 2023 by Mexico Unknown magazine!! it's about 6 hours, it's about living the most incredible haciendas and the best cenotes in the state of Yucatan. 8 am we will start the day by picking you up at the meeting point, the goal is to arrive early, at that time we will have the opportunity to enjoy the place with few people and take advantage of the morning. First point, the hacienda where the emperors of Mexico bathed and what happened there in the 17th century, swimming in 2 MAGICAL cenotes, are pools of transparent and refreshing waters ( WITHOUT MANY PEOPLE access is by group) Immediately the second hacienda, which is now a spectacularly beautiful tourist hotel, with a spectacular view surrounded by large trees and gardens . food is on the second hacienda (subject to availability) After a completely abandoned French hacienda, which has trees that grew up there in its walls, is a mystical hacienda. you will know the 3 types of haciendas of Yucatan, a day full of emotions. Other things to note Transportation included, with good music and air conditioning to enjoy the trip life jackets and viewfinder drinks ( Water) including hacienda entrances and food not included Prices x person, 2 people minimum.

History walking tour thru Merida's old neighborhoods

We'll walk in some of Merida's oldest neighborhoods (west side of the colonial city, between 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the group) to talk about the events that took place in each of them. I'll happily do my best to answer all your questions concerning to the subject of the tour or any other that you may have. This neighborhoods are still alive and they all have their own charm and history, they have been witness of many stories and legends. During the month of october to the 10 of november, this tour will also be focused on the celebration of the day of the death (Día de los muertos in Mexico and Hanal pixan in Yucatan). I will talk about history and architecture, but i will talk more about everything that surrounds this dates which are probably the most important days of the year for all mexicans and how is related to history and this neighborhoods.
