McKenzie Bridge Vacation Rentals

Just booked in McKenzie Bridge

Warm, quiet, comfortable cabin with rustic decor, our Tamolitch Cabin is the perfect base camp for 2 to 3 people as you explore all the McKenzie River has to offer. Our property is nestled in the woods, just far enough off the highway that all you can hear is the sound of gentle rushing water. We offer guided rafting trips, mountain bike rentals and shuttles and more. We welcome people from all backgrounds and hope to share with you our love of the outdoors and our beautiful place in the woods!
This cabin is part of Horse Creek Lodge, situated on 10 forested acres bordering National Forest Land and Horse Creek. Guests can rent individual cabins or the entire facility to host reunions, etc.
Our property is nestled in the woods, just 2 turns off the main road, Highway 126. You'll travel down a residential gravel road to find us. Please drive slowly to keep our neighbors safe and happy!
  • We loved our stay at this cabin and would definitely come back again! The cabin is super cute and stocked with everything we needed. We would highly recommend taking a rafting trip through them as welll. They supplied us with wet suits and snacks, and the guide was excellent!

  • If you want a peaceful place with only the sound of the river, this is it! We loved our stay, along with our two dogs, one age 15...She could walk along the river below with us, and there were plenty of more challenging places to explore for us and our younger dog. Accommodations are comfortable, including basic amenities, a king size bed and seating indoors and out. We even took time to build a fire outside one night. Internet and cable were appreciated, especially since our Verizon cell service was spotty at best. Of course that encouraged us to relax more, which was the point in getting away. Highly recommended!

  • The Tamolitch cabin was so wonderfully homey. The entire property is a really immersive and relaxing place. Sitting on the front porch, listening to the creek was a perfect end to an enjoyable day exploring the McKenzie River. Alyssa was very quick to respond while I was booking and super flexible when I needed to change the date. I was on a solo journey this time, but I can easily imagine coming back with some family and friends.

  • Alyssa's cabin is amazing! It served as a cozy 2-night retreat for my partner and I. It's super quiet, peaceful, and easily accessible. We loved watching the rain from the porch, snoozing in the comfortable, giant bed, and reading books in front of the fireplace. The kitchen was very accommodating to cooking, and everything worked great. The McKenzie Bridge general store (which has beer/wine on tap and a lovely patio for sunshine or raintime relaxing) is a fifteen minute walk away, and was a nice little day adventure. We are already talking about coming back soon!

  • Beautiful, quiet space. I really enjoyed my time there.

    Christi2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! Cabin has a full bathroom and kitchen with fridge/freezer/microwave/stove/oven. Great porch to sit out on. Nice small trails on the property to walk with dogs. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Hosts were super accommodating with our needs. Check In and out were seamless. All in all a GREAT experience. We will definitely be back. Just a tip download directions off (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps before you get there. The cabins are in a cellphone deadzone. However each cabin does have wifi access. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps actually directed us to a close by neighbors driveway make sure your paying attention to the signage and you'll get to the cabins no problem.

  • What a beautiful cabin in a gorgeous setting! Pictures do not do it justice! This is the perfect area in Oregon to stay if you want to get away from it all. Willamette Forest is absolutely beautiful. A friend and I stayed here 2 nights and had a great time. Wish we had time to stay longer! Very clean, awesome shower, full kitchen with all utensils and super comfy bed. The porch is a perfect place to sit and relax after a long day hiking the McKenzie River Trail. If you enjoy white-water rafting, they do excursions from here as well. If you enjoy anything from hiking to mountain biking to just relaxing in a serene forest- don't look any further. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Willamette!!

Best of all worlds! Cozy, yet roomy and amenity-filled "rustic-luxe" retreat on the edge of pristine wilderness. You hear only the rhythm of river rapids, yet you can walk to restaurants, seasonal entertainment and general store. With unobstructed river views from all rooms except baths, this 10-year old cabin is set back from the river, so it's filled with sunlight not dampness. As one of several cabins around a common area, it's private, not isolated. Ready for both relaxing and adventuring!
We welcome people of all backgrounds. This cabin and the entire first floor (including one of the bedrooms and baths) is wheelchair-accessible. Great separation of space for two couples: one bedroom and bath on each floor. Perfect for friend groups, and quiet romantic getaways too. Walking distance to restaurants, hiking rails, and outfitters. We've partnered with several local businesses to provide discounted tours, rentals and other services for our guests. Not well set up for children, and not child-proofed.
Tiny McKenzie Bridge is the last settlement before you head east over the Cascade Mountains to Central Oregon. It's a very relaxing place on the upper McKenzie, where the river is full of rapids as it descends from the mountain. We are located one mile west of the McKenzie River National Recreation Trail base, as well as many other outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, bicycling, boating, fishing, hot springs, golf, skiing and more. Even though our cabin is very quiet with no road noise (only river song!) you can walk to two restaurants, seasonal live music and outdoor movies, a beer garden and a bar/espresso bar. There is a large guest information book in the cabin with the details, including our favorites.
  • Such a beautiful space! Very clean with everything one needs. We spent a long weekend and did nearly all our cooking at the cabin. Appreciated the spices in the cupboard; I forgot cinnamon and was delighted to find some available for use. Loved the McKenzie General store nearby. Didn't expect to find Bob's Red Mill items and other GF products. Great selection for a small market in a tiny community. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. There were only two of us, so didn't use the other bedroom. The space is large enough for two couples with privacy for all as well as really comfortable common areas. Loved the screened porch. It's a beautiful place to eat meals while watching the river. or just hang out with a glass of wine. Very conducive to good conversation. Fun to watch the hummingbirds. I think they came by just to check us out. This is a great place to stay to enjoy the nearby hiking trails and then relax in comfort in the evenings. I almost was wishing for a rainy day because the books and games in the cabin were so inviting. Everything went smoothly with communication and an easy check-in. I highly recommend this space.

  • We travelled up to McKenzie Bridge to see the solar eclipse. The cabin was the absolute perfect zen place to spend a long weekend! It was clean and had everything we could possibly need. The town is small, but the general store has most basics. Plus, there's a restaurant/pub attached to it. We went on a Saturday night and enjoyed some live music along with our dinner. Kathi was incredibly helpful and gave us tips about the area and suggestions on where to watch the solar eclipse. This was our first vacation away as a family (we have a 12 week old baby), and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place.

    Cheryl2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time at Kathi & John's cabin. We really enjoyed being right on the river relaxing in their screened porch listening to nature. We enjoyed a nice hike along the river, went to Belknap springs, enjoyed the local restaurants & more. Whitewater rafting will be next time! I really appreciated how well appointed everything is and I noticed they use biodegradable cleaning products, which always makes me feel better. They are in a group of cabins but it is still quiet. We will definitely return!

  • This was definitely my Family's favorite! We did a 10 day road trip through Oregon and stayed at 6 different places. The location is more than perfect. We enjoyed meals together right next to the gorgeous river. Thank you Randy & Denise!

    Stacey2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We rent a lot through AirBnB and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) -- this is by far our favorite place. The cabin really is located right on the McKenzie River -- you have amazing views from the decks and hot tubs. The cabin itself combines rustic charm (including a huge stone fireplace we loved) with modern conveniences like a kitchen with all appliances and a hot tub. Randy was proactive, easy to work with, and acted like a host welcoming valued guests to his home. We are already planning our next trip.

    Kara2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect! A cozy clean cabin off of the McKenzie River. A nice hot tub... a beautiful deck... and a comfy hammock all for your use as you enjoy the rushing waters of the McKenzie River. The inside was clean... bed was comfy and a huge plus was access to wifi. We will def be returning to this beautiful location. Definitely a gem that everyone should enjoy. Thanks again Denise and Randy.

  • This place was amazing!! We spent a night in the hot tub, drinking wine, stars over our heads and listening to the river in the background that is only a few feet away. It was beautiful! The only down side was that there were a few mice that were keeping us company while we were there. However, overall it was great. We kayaked Clear Lake one day while were were there, I totally recommend that, it was unbelievable!

    Lau2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of our most memorable places, ever. The river, the seclusion of the cabin (even though it is very close to a market and the highway and easy to get to) and the awesome hosts led to a great vacation. The cabin itself is very well furnished and the backyard is the stuff of dreams. I wish I could stay longer!

    Amit2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Need to unplug? No cell service here and so close to nature. I spent many hours on the deck just watching the river. What an amazing little place in Bigfoot country!!

    Jared2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great cabin getaway. The house is rustic and cozy, and there is a large deck area by the river. It is close to the general store in Rainbow, and excellent hiking & waterfalls are a short drive away.

  • We had a lovely stay at Charlene's home. Two adult couples and a 4.5 yr old. It was easy to feel at home here. Our kiddo loved the swing between trees in the back and exploring the forrest. There was also a fun selection of toys. Great for younger kids. We drove to Sahalie falls the first day, Hoodoo for sledding the second day & Belknap hot springs to explore their gardens the 3rd day. Lots of beautiful nature to explore in the area. Stop at the Ranger station too if you've got kids...they gave our son a nice bag full of things to color, read and play with. Thank you Charlene, we loved our stay.

    Jennifer2016-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful experience! The house was just perfect for our needs and had everything we needed. It was cozy and comfortable and we couldn't have possibly run out of places to hike and wander. I can't wait to come back.

    Denise2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem, and the accessibility to hiking trails in the Willamette National Forest and the hot springs were perfect. I loved the garden, meditation bench, and the home was comfortable and inviting. I would absolutely stay here again!

    Emily2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Charlene's Forest Seclusion home is a wonderful retreat on a beautiful wooded country road near the majestic McKenzie River. Charlene was great at communicating with us before our arrival, met us at the home to show us around and then left us to enjoy her peaceful home. She left a notebook with information about the house and neighborhood and even left us her favorite hiking book so we could check out some of the wonderful hikes Central Oregon is so famous for. As it was a dreadfully hot weekend during our stay, we spent most of our time out on the deck, which sits in the back of the house with a great view of Charlene's garden and the woods behind the house. The house cooled off at night and we were able to sleep comfortably. We cooked on the grill, enjoyed our coffee in the morning with the blueberries Charlene left for us. This is a magical place and we will be back.

    Kathy2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely LOVED our time in Oregon. Forest Seclusion is true, and the best way to describe the place. It was quiet and peaceful, with a lot of trails to hike on for hours right by the house. Everything was as described and better.

    Scott2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and confortable home in a quiet place perfect to explore some of the wonders of Oregon.

    Stephanie2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Charlene and the house were both fantastic. The wood stove was such a great thing to have on the cold days. The house had far more amenities than I would ever expect from an air bnb house. I would recommend the place to anyone staying in the area.

Not really a 'private room' as you are in a lush forest alongside the beautiful McKenzie River. JUST BRING YOUR AIRMATTRESS and sleep peacefully, fish or gaze. Watch the whitewater rafters go by - or join them! You have a bathroom, hot water & kitchen use at the house. Great grill and beer garden a short walk away. The gazebo is your private space. Beach is shared by homeowner and other guests. We respectfully ask our other guests to respect your privacy after 930pm.
The gazebo is right beside the McKenzie River and the shared 'beach' along the river. We have provided a swing, chairs & table, and lounge chairs on the shared beach for guests and owners access.
It's very natural, beautiful and quiet. There are several nice hikes right across the street and or up the road. The river is, of course, a favorite!
  • We loved sleeping next to the river, lounging on the rocky beach, swinging over the water. And it was so nice to enjoy the benefits of camping without having to pack up everything and the kitchen sink. Having the use of the kitchen and bathroom was so convenient. And the gazebo is just the right distance from the house, with a beautiful forested stretch in between--even a bridge over a little creek.

  • What an awesome stay! A gorgeous setting and experience that we will always remember. The accommodations were exactly as described and very clean. Jill and her husband were very welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. It was quiet and very peaceful! Thank you!

  • We had a great stay with Jill and Jim in their riverside gazebo. It was raining when we arrived, and we hadn't realised we needed to bring our own bedding. It could have been a cold night, but after getting in touch with Jill she promptly organised an air mattress and bedding for us. We stayed very warm and dry and slept really well listening to the river in our little gazebo. Jill and Jim are a charming and interesting couple who went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. Which we certainly did! The area is beautiful. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the river watching the birds and the mist. Lovely.

    Dave & Emma2014-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The photo you see leaves plenty to discover. This was a super spot to be for exploring nearby recreational areas and just to be near the river. Jill and Jim have made a very comfortable and charming outdoor spaces to enjoy and made us feel welcome and at ease.

    Amber2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a relaxing stay on the river and our host was very respectful of our space and enjoyable to converse with. The kitchen was newly remodeled and was a welcome contrast to the rugged outdoor accommodation. We saw many whitewater rafting groups pass by on the river and the bird watching was spectacular. We hope to make this an annual getaway.

    Mackenzie2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our Glamping experience was awesome! The property is so beautiful and sleeping in the gazebo with the river rushing right outside was perfect. We felt like we had our own private river frontage, all with the comfort of furniture in the gazebo, and bathroom access in the house. The location was ideal for us, with the McKenzie store and coffee shop very close, breakfast at Takoda's was very good, and we enjoyed hiking the McKenzie trail, just a few miles away. Jill and Jim were very gracious and friendly hosts. They have an amazing piece of property with lots of little critters around to enjoy like hummingbirds and squirrels! It's a little slice of heaven and we felt very lucky to have them share it with us for the weekend. Sleeping in the gazebo really is like sleeping under the (URL HIDDEN) make sure and bring warm clothes for the evenings (as no camp fire allowed) and very good / warm sleeping bags!!

  • A truly gorgeous scene of Oregon forest magic awaits you here! Glamorous camping in a mosquito-netted gazebo (bring your own air mattress) literally steps away from the crystal clear McKenzie River. Jill and her husband were respectful, kind, and attentive and made just enough conversation to be hospitable but not intrusive. We were welcomed with a sign welcoming us by name which was a very thoughtful touch. The tea, coffee and english muffin in the morning (prepared for us at the time we requested) was a very sweet gesture. We had exquisite sunny weather which added a lot to their already gorgeous plot of land. I would stay here again due to the polite hospitality and the opportunity for intimacy and privacy with wondrous Oregon nature. Thank you!

    Michael2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay on the gorgeous McKenzie river. Jill and Jim are lovely hosts and we enjoyed scones and coffee in the morning. The gazebo is bare-bones, but for those who have been camping it is a true step up with the shower and breakfast.

Beautiful room directly on McKenzie River with private double shower in bathroom. Kitchen use included. We have our own "beach" on the river or enjoy fishing, hiking/biking, whitewater rafting, terwilliger hot springs, tamolitch blue pool, cougar reservoir and golf nearby. Fun little beer garden and grill within walking distance. Enjoy our property with hammock, tree swings, and our creek. A true place to get away from it all! Enjoy a peaceful moment on the back deck with its awesome view! Sigh.
We offer a large bedroom with private bath. You will have a king size bed and a king size view of the forest and McKenzie River. Double headed large shower in your private bathroom.
It is so fantastically beautiful, quiet and part of nature. Great hiking, biking, white water rafting, skiing, and golf nearby. There's a charming deli at the end of the road, and a fun little community with a great restaurant in Rainbow, 3 miles away.
  • Exactly what I was looking for when I set out to find a rejuvenating place in a natural setting close to really nice attractions. The house had a nice breakfast table on the porch overlooking the island and river. The island is covered with cedar, doug fir, a few maple, and sparse understory of mostly herbaceous groundcover and sword ferns. There is a nice stone beach with a gazebo (which you can currently rent elsewhere on airbnb), fire pit, and some chairs. Perfect for relaxing. The room is very cozy with a queen sized (at least) bed, private adjoining bath and large window, which opens to let in cedar scented air and the awesome soothing sound of the McKenzie R. River is fly-fish and catch and release only at this location. There are local businesses to outfit/provide guided whitewater rafting trips. A basic market is about 1/3 mi away. A ranger station, gas, and decent restaurant are 3 mi away. Hwy 242, rated as one of the best bicycling routes in the country is very close by. A reasonable drive will take you to proxy falls, scott lake, willamette national forest, andrews experimental forest and many trails. Less than 60 minute drive will get you to lava fields (including the observatory), cougar hot spring, and the sisters wilderness. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Willing to have a conversation but equally willing to leave you alone if you wanted relative solitude. If you are interested in activities in the area, I would recommend looking at things to do ahead of time as there is no internet here and the ranger station is closed on weekends. If you are looking to have quiet breakfast overlooking beautiful forest and hanging out on a stone beach - this place is perfect(URL HIDDEN)plan to go back - maybe using this as a place to complete the writing of a thesis, maybe using this as a base before heading to the sisters wilderness. I look forward to talking with and sharing a meal with the hosts.

  • So magical as always! Great new spots and features. As always they made us feel so welcome and at home. So kind and caring.. Thank you so much!!! Looking forward to be back soon!!

  • Jill and Jim have set the AirBnB bar so high, I'm not quite sure how any other experience will compare. First of all, the drive into the McKenzie bridge area is peaceful and serene which sets the tone for what comes next. As you happen upon Jill and Jim's sweet, warm and welcoming home that possess the most incredible view of a stream, forest, and breathtaking river (from your room! and shared living area). If the gorgeous property isn't enough, then the company will definitely make the experience you are looking for. Whether you are looking for a private escape and wish to be left alone or if you are a traveler who loves meeting, contacting and swapping stories, Jim and Jill will happily oblige (just don't forget to bring the wine!). My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time, felt well nourished from the relaxing environment, and look forward to catching up with our new found friends. Thanks again for opening your home to us. -Alyssa & Chris

  • I was coming from Portland after work and Jill waited up for us to make sure we got settled. She and her husband made themselves available without crowding us. Their property is absolutely wonderful, a really sweet little retreat in the woods. I loved being so close to the river with such easy access to the beach.

    Elizabeth2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay! We were in the area checking out hot springs and were very lucky to find this place. Our first Airbnb experience and didn't know what to expect. Large, comfy bed and everything very clean. Hosts were very friendly and conversation was very easy. Beautiful river to hang out by.

    Sheree2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived a few minutes earlier than the 4:00 pm check in time, but Jill & Jim graciously & warmly greeted us and invited us into their delightful home. Inside and outside, the home and property had a delightful, inviting retro charm to it. They made it clear that this was our home for the duration of the time we were there. The quiet, well maintained neighborhood was set back and away from the main highway, so there was no traffic noise. We enjoyed having our private room and bath, and never heard a peep out of our hosts. The bathroom was spacious and the shower had two shower heads so we could have showered together! There were many towels and wash cloths available to us as well. The raised bed was the most comfortable we have ever had compared to most of the other places we stayed. And the big picture window offered a view of all the bird, squirrel and chipmonk feeders so we could watch all the little critters feed on the viddles provided. And with the window open at night, we could hear the creek running throughout the night. Their backyard consisted of massive numbers of ferns, conifer trees, wild flowers, clover and other plant life that extended all the way to the beach of the McKenzie River, which is where we spent the majority of our time while there. A hammock and swing were also provided, as well as table, chairs and lounges. We thoroughly enjoyed staying out on the beach next to the river. We could fish (catch and release only), watch rafters and wildlife, BBQ, eat, and just plain relax. A gazebo was also available which provided comfortable wicker furniture and shelter, if needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hosts were delightful and did everything they could to make us feel comfortable.

  • Jim was very understanding even though we arrived much later than anticipated, and was a gracious host. He was clearly very interested in our comfort and even made us coffee and tea in the morning, giving us space while being attentive to our potential needs. The sound and sight of the river were very soothing, what a beautiful place!

  • Jill and Jim were very welcoming hosts and we enjoyed staying with them. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was super comfortable and the view of the river was beautiful! Their property is an oasis of nature with a forested backyard and pebbled beach on the McKenzie river. We enjoyed relaxing by the water.

  • Such an amazing place to stay with the family. Super comfy cabins and beautifully decorated. My seven year old and I fished right on front of the cabins everyday and caught a couple of small trout. We had a fire every night after our bbq and woke up to breakfast with a river view. We did a white water rafting trip and passed the cabins and waved hello to the rest of the family. The host Tyrone is a great guy and was always available to answer any questions and help us with anything we needed. We will definitely come back again!

  • What a great little place to get away from it all. Tucked away in a wooded area off the McKenzie River, this cabin has everything you'll need for a relaxing vacation. For his birthday, my hubby asked for a getaway to a secluded cabin near a river in Oregon... and he got just that! We vacationed in this cabin for a week and we were glad to be the first of (I'm sure) many families to experience this little gem hidden near the Williamette National Forest. The cabin was located minutes away from: hiking trails, waterfalls, lakes & rivers, scenic routes, fishing sites, river rafting and wonderful mountain, volcano and wilderness views. The cabin was comfortably furnished with all the necessities at hand. We flew into Portland, stopped and grocery shopped before we made it to the cabin. There's a couple of local general stores nearby that have most of what you'll need, but you'll need to drive about 45 minutes to get to the nearest Walmart or grocery store type. The cabin has pots, pans, utensils, glassware, towels and linens. There's also a gas stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer. We BBQ'd on the grill one night and roasted marshmallows in the fire that we made in the fire pit. The McKenzie River is literally in the backyard.. less than 50 feet. My hubby caught 5-6 small trouts which made his whole experience even better. Deborah and Rick were amazing to work with. I booked this reservation 2 days before and they were very quick to respond to my messages, very inviting, full of information and extremely hospitable. We're so happy to have gotten the chance to find this place. We will definitely come back before the end of the year and will call it home when visiting Oregon. We haven't stopped talking about it since we've been back. Our favorite part of the cabin was opening the windows, feeling the fresh breeze, seeing the beautiful views around the cabin and when sleeping at night hearing the steady flow of the McKenzie River. Peaceful, relaxing yet full of adventure - we love & recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect Oregon experience.

  • We had a great stay! Beautiful home situated in a lovely location, we would definitely stay here again and look forward to doing so. The space is very thoughtfully appointed and it's very clear that a great degree of time and intention went into creating a space that's light, welcoming and creative. We really enjoyed our time. Conveniently located for anything in/around McKenzie Bridge and the proximity to the river is fantastic.

  • We're from Texas and this is our 2nd stay here in the past 3 months. This place has become the perfect excuse to just get away. We enjoyed it very much. The cabin is cozy and furnished with everything you need. We usually buy enough groceries for our stay when we arrive, so when we're at the cabin we don't need to drive back into town. There are also a few local markets and restaurants that has necessities too if needed. Plan to be back again soon.

  • Stay here for beautiful views of the McKenzie river. This cabin has everything you'll need for your stay. Great location just a short walk to the bridge where there's a market and restaurants.

Our place was built in 1926 and still maintains that rustic charm with modern amenities. 100 feet of river frontage with ample space for groups indoors and out. Fishing, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, hot springs and golf are all nearby. Tokatee is 3 miles away and the McKenzie river trail begins directly across the river.
There are three bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom. The Woodrow has a king and two twins. The Peninsula has a king bed and The Nook has a full bed. Downstairs is The Bunk Room with six full beds and two twin beds. The sun porch has a queen hide-a-bed.
Laughing Waters is a shared community of 7 cabins with river frontage. We share the grounds and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
  • Outstanding rustic lodge on the river! Our group liked it so much we may make it an annual event!

  • John's cabin is in a tranquil wooded setting right on the river. We stayed in the late summer, the temperature was perfect, and our group had a wonderful time relaxing and reading on the deck and in the hammock. There were more than enough bedrooms for our group, and a larger group could even get creative to find additional sleeping options. The kitchen is well-equipped and we also used the grill - very easy to make meals for groups, and there's a really big dining room table at which to enjoy meals all together (and play card games at afterward). No wifi was a selling point for us, and we enjoyed disconnecting from the distractions of daily life, and really connecting with each other. John was a great host, very welcoming and responsive. We hope to stay here again!

Our 2 riverfront cabins are on the wild and scenic Mckenzie River. The sight and sound of the whitewater river are backdropped by the beautiful Cascade Mountains. You are surrounded by fir trees, wild gardens and outdoor greenery. Logcabininn.com gives you a full web site of this historic McKenzie Riverfront including a video. Cabins 10 and 11 owned by Dave and Diane Rae are the 2 nicest on the property.
Your cabin features an open flame gas fireplace, beautiful cedar walls and floors, full modern kitchen, open living room/dining room, as well as 2 bedrooms in one cabin and 3 in the other.
The Mckenzie River has hosted Kings and Queens of England, United States' Presidents as well as famous actors over the last 75 years. It is a beautiful scenic part of Oregon, many trails for hiking, biking. Whitewater River Rafting and drift boat fishing, kayaking and fly fishing are also popular.
  • I loved the sound of the river, the layout of the cabin, and how far off the highway it was. The neighbor we met was delightful. It was well situated in Oregon for our purpose. I could have spent a week there and been very happy.

    Christopher2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was located right next to the river and felt very private and tranquil. The cabin itself was very nicely designed, clean, quiet, and very cozy yet spacious - perfect for a romantic getaway. All the neighbors were very friendly and helpful, and there was a great little market walking distance to the cabin. All-in-all we had a great weekend getaway.

    Beth2016-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place (cabin 10) is a gem, it is the closest cabin to the river and has much more privacy than we expected; noise from any neighbors is drowned out by the sounds of the river when in the master bedroom or anywhere in the house. It's the perfect quintessential river cabin and is spacious with a large screened porch with river views and lots of privacy. David is a great host and very responsive. We will be back!

    Matt2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Are you looking for a two-bedroom, two-bath, well-built, light & bright cabin RIGHT along the McKenzie River? Look no further! There is a great kitchen, a screened-in porch, plenty of comfortable seating inside and out, a picnic table and more right on the river and a friendly and responsive host! We from Arizona and Southern California LOVED it!! Cannot recommend more highly!

    Suki2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • David's cabin by the water was a perfect weekend get away. It was within walking distance of a cute market. It was close to amazing hikes and hot springs.

    Mickaela2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin and location were perfect for me and exceeded my expectations. Anyone who loves nature and the many nearby wonders should appreciate this little community of cabins. The screened porch was a joy for relaxing before and after a day of exploration. It was hard to read, though, with the beautiful river compelling me to look at it instead of words on a page. There is no cell reception for AT&T for miles around. There is available wifi at the local grocery store within walking distance.

    Donna2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a cozy and comfortable stay during the winter this is the place to go, it's a literal winter wonderland. I can only imagine the same applies towards the beautiful Oregon summers there. Especially with the well equipped and modernized features and amenities found in David's cabin!

  • We had an awesome stay in this beautiful setting, with relaxing walking paths, views of the river (from the outdoor shower!), and a sauna for the extra relaxation boost. Hiking trails are close by, and we saw herds of Elk along the road, really a remote and wild feeling area. Steve was very accommodating and the house was well set up to keep us comfortable all weekend. We will definitely be back!

  • The place is amazing, but the owner, Steve, was not so nice at all. I did not see that the urt was $75/ night and I spoke to Steve on the phone before we got there and he never mentioned anything about any extra fees. This was my mistake, but Steve sent me a really nasty and threatening message after we had left. My brother, his wife, me, and my partner were supposed to be staying there. Just the 4 of us, but they could not get a babysitter, so we brought their 2 kids. (Ages 10 and 5) I did not think this would be an issue, but it was to Steve according to his message he left me about how he was surprised about how I brought my brother and his family without telling him and anything over 5 people, there is another fee. BE CAREFUL!! This place is so nice, but watch out for the fees and negativity that it brings!!!

    Shannon2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • For the few hours we were actually there and able to enjoy the downtime, this little paradise in the woods was lovely.

    Suzy2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Picaflores. It was nice to have so many things to do and see onsite; yet if you wanted to venture you are 20 minutes for other attractions. The house and yurt were clean and fresh when we arrived. Lots of space and good energy. We can't wait to do our ladies retreat every year!

Warm, quiet, comfortable home with rustic decor, our Delta House is the perfect base camp for families and big groups as you explore all the McKenzie River has to offer. Nestled in the woods, just far enough off the highway that all you can hear is the sound of gentle rushing water, we offer guided rafting trips, mountain bike rentals and shuttles and more. We welcome people (and pets!) from all backgrounds and hope to share with you our love of the outdoors and our beautiful place in the woods!
  • What a wonderful place! Alyssa not only hosted but coordinated an amazing rafting trip for me and my friends. Great separation of space as well as great hangout areas at the house. Nice hiking trails to the confluence as well as yard games and flat spots for tents.
