The Island Cabin was fabulous! We particularly liked the outdoor shower. Captain provided just the right amount of privacy. He gave us an efficient tour when we arrived, and then left us to settle in and enjoy our surroundings. We were in Florida getting married, and Captain surprised us with a decorated cabin and arrival cocktails to help us celebrate. Highly recommended!
Zenyth2015-05-20T00:00:00ZCaptain conch and the place were both awesome. He was there to greet us as soon as we got there and even offered to help us unload our vehicle. The cabin was amazing, all the comforts of home but right in touch with the nature preserve. We will be back asap!
Caleb2015-03-08T00:00:00ZThe cabin was just as it is described in the listing. We really liked the uniqueness of this cabin and it's privacy. The outdoor shower was great and what an experience taking a shower under the stars. My wife and I are real nature people and enjoyed having the deer meet us the door in the morning. Captain Conch was an exceptional host. He was very accommodating to our every request. We arrived during a torrential rain and he had a pair of shrimp boots for both my wife and I to wear until the rain subsided. He provided us with a list of local restaurants and attractions, please try the Key Lime pie at "No Name Pub". We only stayed 2 nights, because we had to leave early due to a family emergency. We will definitely be back.
Rodney2015-05-02T00:00:00ZThis is a wonderful and special place to stay. Captain Conch was very friendly and a great host. He was flexible with the timing of our arrival and gave us a nice tour of the cabin and the grounds when we arrived. He also provided some great recommendations on where to eat. The cozy and clean cabin is extremely private and peaceful, surrounded by lush palms, orchids, and other tropical plants. The key deer visited us each morning and afternoon. Using the outdoor shower, sink, and compost toilet was a unique experience. My husband said this is one of the best places he has ever stayed. We hope to go back again!
Cathy2015-04-03T00:00:00ZPerfect get-a-way accommodations!
Tom2017-05-11T00:00:00ZYou must stay at Captain's cabin if you are going to the Keys! Not only is Big Pine a really cool area to visit, Captain is an amazing host and the cabin is very cozy and comfortable - many modern amenities but you still feel like you are secluded in the forest! Captain was there to welcome my boyfriend and I to the property on the Deer Refuge and give us a quick tour (and ecology lesson!) - he even prepared a couple of refreshing tropical cocktails for us. The deer here are very friendly - we had a little gal come by at breakfast and dinner looking for a little treat. It was wild!
Anna2016-08-04T00:00:00ZWe stayed for three days and loved the entire experience. From the welcome drinks to the deer, the cuban coffee in the morning to the outdoor shower, it was truly a unique experience. The environment in the refuge is wild and remote (we were fascinated with the tree frogs at night), though you aren't far from restaurants, bars, and Bahia Honda state park. The captain made us feel welcome and his tips about where to go on Big Pine Key and beyond were priceless. We are already planning to return within the next year. Thank you, Captain!

Monique's place was just wonderful! It is in fact 15mins away from Duval St. the kitchen is well equipped, the whole apt was very clean, the only down side is that it only has one queen bed. We were two couples and tough that we could just move the two twin beds next to each other but the bedroom is too small to do that. But this place was still great, will recommend it 100% to anyone. Looks like exactly like the pictures and the description. Thank you Monique
Andrea2017-05-16T00:00:00ZBeautiful place with great balcony, the only downside is the 15 minute drive to key West but absolutely worth it for me, would come back
Christopher2017-04-21T00:00:00ZThis condo has an AMAZING VIEW of Miami Beach and easy access to the Beach itself. It's really what makes this a 5 star for me & my family. I will say the valet parking can be confusing when you want to unload all of your luggage and the elevators can take a LONG time to arrive without being full. I can't blame Norma for that just remember to give yourself some extra time in those situations. For me Miami Beach is one of my favorite in the USA, can't beat it.
Michael2017-04-20T00:00:00ZWe stayed 2 days there with our 2 kids and enjoyed the penthouse ! Even if it is close to the main street, the bedrooms are very quiet as located on the lagoon side. We enjoyed the lagoon view at sunset time and we were also lucky to see several iguana from the deck !
Alain2017-04-15T00:00:00ZThe apartment was super clean and was even better that I imagined. I sat on the large outdoor rooftop deck looking at the moon enjoying an amazing evening breeze. My daughter has severe food allergies so I have to travel with all of her food. Monique was kind enough to let me come in a few hours before check-in to drop off her food in the refrigerator so it would not spoil in our hot car while on a long boat trip that day. That was very kind and it gave me piece of mind.
Kim2017-04-11T00:00:00ZThe 2 bedroom apartment was a perfect fit for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Although you need to have a car to get anywhere it is 12 to 15 minutes ride to center and beaches. The apartment was very clean and organized. We didn't contact Monique even once because check in and everything else was very straight forward. Highly recommended.
Iris2017-04-08T00:00:00ZVery nice for the price. A 20 min. Drive from downtown Key West. Nice rooftop view. All amenities and very comfortable.
Tama2017-04-05T00:00:00ZMonique's little place was great. It was wonderfully clean and comfortable. Monique was responsive to any questions. It is furnished with IKEA so it has a lot amenities fitted well into a small space. One double in a room and 2 twins in another room, with plenty of closet space for all. The kitchen is fully equipped. The small balcony overlooking a canal and the roof top deck with an outdoor shower was cool. the place is about 7 minutes from Key West so driving is necessary to get into town, the drive is simple. Parking in town was easy but kinda expensive. Overall a great place to stay to visit Key West. Will return. Thx Monique

We've never felt more at home. Kevin and Buddy are amazing hosts and this is now my designated place to stay when we return.
Steve2017-05-14T00:00:00ZThe sailboat is great! It makes for such a unique stay in the Keys.
Taryn2017-05-12T00:00:00ZKevin was awesome in communicating all the added amenities available to us as guests such as kayaks, bikes, hammocks etc. The whole place was very tranquil and everyone there was awesome. Thank you, Keven!
Maria2017-05-07T00:00:00ZWe stayed in the sailboat & it is exactly as described. I loved seeing the stars before falling asleep, and the beautiful sunsets. Kevin's hospitality is wonderful. We look forward to coming again.
Renee2017-05-04T00:00:00ZThe place is amazing. For both of us it has been the first night on a sailing boat, the space is kind of limited, but we worked it out :) Kevin is a great host, always there for his guests. The garden is just as awesome as the view on the ocean. Unfortunately we only spent two nights in Islamorada, but we will come again!
Jan2017-04-28T00:00:00ZThis place was perfect for our 3 night stay in the keys. The boat is exactly as described, clean and cozy and the perfect place to lay your head down at night. The surrounding area is also great, with beautiful views (and plenty of seating to enjoy the views), fish in the area off the dock, and other outdoor lawn games. The restrooms are easy to access. I would definitely recommend staying here, hope to come back again!
Amber2017-04-23T00:00:00ZStaying on the boat at Kevin's was a unique experience. Camping on the water in a great location with a very welcoming host made for a great Keys visit. If you love the outdoors the bikes, kayaks and snorkelling gear let you enjoy this fantastic location fully.
Carol2017-04-20T00:00:00ZI this sailboat was just as described. It was like camping except with a bed. My husband is 6'4" and we fit in fine. The area is beautiful. It was nice just to relax you n the sun and under the beautiful palms. Kevin was very kind and helpful. Let bed our stay!!

This was a great spot for us to spend the end of our trip. Private area and close to great activities near by. Joyce and Leslie were very communicative and great to work with. When we had a problem with one of our other stays they were able to accommodate us with short notice. Would stay again!
Laura2017-02-08T00:00:00ZThis place is awesome. We were greeted by the sweetest women. We had the most amazing view of the water. The only problem was that we had to leave!! The host are very accommodating.
Tyrell2016-11-27T00:00:00ZGreat waterfront spot! Beautiful location...easy to relax by the water all day :) Overall, host was very communicative but not always professional in her communications. She was quite condescending and rude at the end of our stay when we used the main house kitchen (we were staying upstairs) to heat up leftovers. It was unclear to us that we weren't allowed to use it (and still is unclear how we were supposed to know that). Too bad, but won't be returning after that interaction...
Sara2017-03-06T00:00:00ZStaying at Leslie's place was great. Her suggestions to watching the sunset and after eating at a great seafood place was nothing more I could ask for. Her private beach areas were romantic and her services were fanastic. Definitely looking forward to booking with her again soon
April2016-10-22T00:00:00ZI love my stay in the tree top! It was perfect for my boyfriend and I. Leslie is super nice, great at communicating, and great at giving you your personal space. The water is perfect, and private. The kayaks are even better. My only negative is the outdoor can use a little more matetinece. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and definitely will be back!
Sharliamar2016-09-28T00:00:00ZLocation was perfect for experiencing everything that Key Largo has to offer. Beautiful location and a marvelous venue for enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine. Joyce and Leslie met us on arrival and make some great dinner recommendations
David2016-11-12T00:00:00ZLeslie was a lovely host, and her place is spectacular! The apartment was clean and spacious, and the property had a great area for sitting by the water and relaxing in the sun. My friend and I didn't take the kayaks out because we were too busy sunbathing, but it was a great amenity to have. The location is close enough to sights and restaurants in Key Largo and Tavernier, but in a quiet area to ensure peace and tranquility. And Leslie is readily available if you have any questions or need area suggestions. I highly recommend this spot!
Deidre2016-01-08T00:00:00ZLovely spot. We used the grill and watched the sunrise. Kayak and snorkel right off the shore, great visibility. Perfect host, great communication. Would definitely recommend.

C.C. explain us everything very clearly and her house was really nice and welcoming. The location is good and quiet.
María2016-08-24T00:00:00ZEverything was fabulous. This is a lovely and convenient place to stay near Key West.
Jene2017-01-29T00:00:00Zgood
sichao2017-01-10T00:00:00ZThe house was clean and tidy. It is located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. C.C. left very detailed instruction for us about the house. And the room was very comfortable. Highly recommended!
Anh2016-11-01T00:00:00ZWe loved our stay at C.C.'s place. The house was comfortable, clean and welcoming. Also, the room and house are exactly as seen in the photos. The instructions to get to the place were really clear and sent to us by C.C. a few days before our trip. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Sisimac2016-07-24T00:00:00ZThe bed and the shower was nice. We appreciate the snacks too. If you ride a car, the location is nice. The neighbourhood looks safe but don't expect to meet C.C. She is communicating only by messages. So it is a bit disturbing to arrive in an empty house... The garden was not really maintained either.
Juliette2016-05-11T00:00:00ZI never see C.C but the house was perfect.
elodie2016-02-28T00:00:00ZGreat place. The home and the garden are just as in a dream. Very easy to (URL HIDDEN) gave very clear directions. I would definitely recommend!

Honest opinion as it is. The smell is not very pleasant from the water in the bottom of the boat, very similar to foul the water. When met was much of a favor. Had to go back himself, as the phone no one took. A strong current, and swing arm). Put five stars because I don't want to spoil the reputation. The boat is made only to extract money. The very essence of airbnb where housing rents owner - is not respected, I doubt that in such conditions it is possible to live))). Arrive at it a second time?, I think not. The guy welcoming us liked it, but actions show that smile just isn't enough!!!
Олег2017-05-13T00:00:00ZAwesome place, we had a great time!
Cerise2017-05-07T00:00:00ZWe spent two nights (two magical sunsets) aboard the boat. While we truly loved our time, it left a little to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Highlights: early morning paddle in the mangroves, sunset on the top deck and seeing sting rays while drinking morning coffee. Best way to beat the crowds in Key West for sure. Thank you!
Jessie2017-05-01T00:00:00ZThink of this like camping, but on a boat and with a comfy futon bed. It was lovely to have some quiet solitude away from the more touristy areas of Key West. Kayaking to the boat can be tough with wind and tides, but also rewarding, beautiful, and I'm sure much easier for more experienced kayakers! Bring headlamps for kayaking back to the boat at night. Zappa was a total sweetheart and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.
Emily2017-04-16T00:00:00ZThe host will take care of you and you'll have a great time with the right mindset and expectations. It is just like camping like they say in the description. So if you are up for a little adventure you will have a blast.
Paul2017-04-12T00:00:00ZOne of the most unique and incredible airbnbs we've ever had. If you are looking to stay off the beaten path in the keys book this ASAP. First off Zappa was super accommodating with us arriving later than expected due to flight issues. Once we arrived, Zappa and his amazing dog Tito, took us over to Free Spirit. Zappa showed us everything we needed to know for our stay. We were able to catch the sunset when we got there (as well as the sunrise the next morning). The boat was just as described and a comfortable space for the 2 of us. We enjoyed having dinner on the top deck and relaxing in the hammock. The next morning we got to enjoy the kayak. Zappa was an incredible host who was also kind enough to pick us up the next morning. Our only regret is spending one night there instead of more! If you love the water and a little bit of adventure, this place is for you!
Jessica2017-04-11T00:00:00Z'Camping on water' is such an accurate description and we loved it! What an adventure! Not for everyone that's for sure but for us, we loved the kayaking for our transportation and the privacy of being away from shore and other boaters. The boat was comfortable and having all the windows made it feel so open. Maybe a solar option for heating the rinse-off shower, that's on deck, along with a lid/sealed receptacle for the bathroom, would for certain get us back there. And of course, Zappa! What a cool dude :) So helpful and kind! Lisa&John
John Thao2017-04-10T00:00:00ZWe absolutely loved staying on the Free Spirit. This is definitely a "off the beaten" path stay. Zappa was a great host. He brought us to and from the boat when we needed and he hooked us up with snorkel gear so we could snorkel around the boat. I highly recommend renting gear so you can see everything below the boat a little closer! There is SO MUCH to see! Dolphins, puffer fish, lobster, jelly fish, star fish, and even a few sharks. We didn't end up taking a kayaking tour with the hosts and that is something we will make sure to do next time we stay. There are the regular amenities in the boat. Towels, linens, pots and pans, plates, cups, dish soap and a few more things. There is a basket on the wall of products left by other travelers that was helpful. You can't guarantee anything will be there but there were a few things we used out of there that we didn't think to bring or want to buy a whole new bottle of. Aloe because we got a little sun burnt for example. The boat itself was great. Could use some work but it's a boat. It's always going to need work. We have stayed in an RV before so we knew what to expect with the marine head toilet so that wasn't a shock to us. The shower is outside off the back of the boat so you are either washing in your swim suit or waiting until night time. It is a bit challenging and comical chasing the shower water in the wind as the boat is swinging. We will definitely be staying there in the future and have a few friends request where we stayed because of all of our adventures we had and our photos we have posted. If you can rough it in the outdoors this place is for you!

Simon2017-05-07T00:00:00ZBeautiful bed and breakfast style home in a very quiet community. The house was pristine. Clean and fresh. I really enjoyed my stay the Santiago's are an amazing family. Thank you for the great hospitality!
Candice2016-08-22T00:00:00ZIt was 5* hotel, not a private room! If you have a chance go for a few days and stay with Santiago, just do it, it's worthy. His wife is taking care of your comfort , wow ! what a great place and wonderful people living here.
Roman2017-03-13T00:00:00ZWe booked this place based on all the reviews. We we're not disappointed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Cannot speak highly enough of the warmth and hospitality of this couple. Please take time to read the other reviews. 100% accurate. You would be hard pressed to find another place in this area with the same feedback from guests. Trust me - this is the place to stay! Thank you so much Iberlisa and Santiago.
Janine2016-12-19T00:00:00ZBest hosts ever! Santiago and his wife were so welcoming, took very good care of us, and after a few days, we felt right at home. The house was the cleanest house we've ever seen. Very loving, caring family. Thank you so much. We'll be back I'm sure!!!!
Wendy2016-11-24T00:00:00ZSantiago and his wife were absolutely lovely and I can't recommend staying with them enough. Their home is in a cute Homestead neighborhood, close to both Miami and the Florida Keys. They were very friendly, encouraging me to make myself at home and making sure I had coffee in the morning. They even brought me an orange on my arrival, which I thought was very sweet. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Very cool place, secluded in so far as it is a boat in the harbor, but a short skiff ride to the marina. Definitely a unique experience. Best to think of it as 12 or so hours of having your own boat. That being said be prepared for the boat experience, it really is like camping on the water. The owner is extremely nice and easy to contact and communicate with. As long as you understand what boat life is, you'll love it.
Ellen2017-05-13T00:00:00ZA night on a boat in Key West is an unforgettable experience. The bikes provided by Mike were helpful to travel around the island. We enjoyed sleeping with the sound of the ocean and woke up by the sunrise and breeze. Mike was extremely helpful!
Jason2017-05-12T00:00:00ZFirst the beachbikes that are at our disposal are cool and very useful to visit Key West. For the boat, read the announcement in full and prepare for a night in rustic conditions a bit like camping. But often a return to the source makes us aware that the essential thing in life is made of simple things !! Happy Holidays!!
Kévin2017-05-11T00:00:00ZIf you wanna stay in key west for a night and are looking for something special this is the place to go. Mike was friendly communication was easy and check in and out perfect.
Nina2017-05-10T00:00:00ZMikes place was one of a kind! Loved sleeping on the deck under the stars and waking up to the sunrise. We did have one night of rough seas but the boat was definitely sturdy enough and we felt safe. This is much like camping so don't expect luxury. No running water but there is a flushable toilet. Bring snacks/drinks!
Chelsea2017-05-07T00:00:00ZIf you're cool with camping, staying on this sailboat is a cool experience. The boat is nothing fancy, and could use some TLC, but has the basic necessities. Mike had water, lights, a new power flush toilet, a small camping stove and a 12 volt charger for our phones.
Kevin2017-05-03T00:00:00ZMike was great. The ride out and back is simple and easy. I'd chill again on this boat. Thanks you guys

Paradise found! Great place to relax, enjoy sensational sunsets! Kayaks, bikes and snorkel gear are an asset! You don't have to leave! Kevin is friendly and recommends great restaurants! Will be back! Thanks
Lori2017-05-17T00:00:00ZMy husband and I loved this place so much we were really sad to leave. We snorkeled and kayaked and swam every day. We watched the lizards and iguanas and read in the hammock. It was the most perfect vacation spot I could ever imagine! Air conditioning worked just fine and the cottage was impeccably cleaned, which seems miraculous with all the heat and humidity. If I had a house in the Keys it would probably be really gross so I'm in awe of the job they do.
Lissa2017-05-15T00:00:00ZGreat place to relax and enjoy the Keys.
Jennifer2017-05-14T00:00:00ZBest hidden gem in Islamorada. Accommodation spotlessly clean but compact but contains everything two people need. The setting and the views just superb. Keven could not be more helpful with his great advice on where to eat and best places to visit. Would not hesitate to return.
Andrew2017-05-06T00:00:00ZIf you want to have fun exploring the Florida Keys but do not want to bring any outdoor equipment, this is the place for you! We were able to use the bikes, kayaks, and snorkel gear that Kevin provided, which made our experience a blast. Kevin was an accessible host and provided us with great suggestions for nearby restaurants. I wholeheartedly recommend this Airbnb to anyone!
Colin2017-05-04T00:00:00ZKevin was a great host, gave good food recommendations and was very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic and as described. Will be coming back!
Janet2017-04-30T00:00:00ZPerfect place for a couple. Beautiful location right on the Gulf Coast. Within biking (bikes provided for free on property) distance to restuarants, bars, and convenience store. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The efficiency was clean, comfortable, and had everything one could need. Kevin was professional, courteous, and available when needed. Highly recommend and plan on staying again in the future.
David2017-04-27T00:00:00ZWe had a great stay in Islamorada. A place where life is good, great location. Kevin was very welcome. The accommodation is very functional. Staying on the Lil' Bamboo was an awesome experience! We were a little unsure of it but were excited to try something different, and Abby's boat and hospitality did not disappoint. The boat has more space than you think. Sitting on top of the boat and on the beach was very peaceful. On Saturday night, we took the paddle boat to a couple of bars just down the bay from the houseboat and had a blast. My husband enjoyed fishing from the jetty next to the boat. The nearby restaurants and diners serve some of the best food, and if you eat/drink during the happy hours, they are pretty cheap too! All-in-all, it was the perfect location to unwind from our stressful jobs. I was a little worried about motion sickness, but you barely notice you're on a boat at all. We highly recommend the Lil' Bamboo and would go back ourselves. Thanks Abby!
Emily2014-07-02T00:00:00ZAbigail was so welcoming, the boat was amazingly comfortable, the private beach was gorgeous, and the sunset was spectacular. Hoping we get to come back soon!
Sammi2015-10-03T00:00:00ZWe had a wonderful time staying on Abby's boat! She told us about good restaurants, things to do and sights to see. She was incredibly helpful and added a very personal touch to our stay. Thank you Abby!!!
Kathy2015-10-21T00:00:00ZStaying in the Lil Bamboo was perfect. The boat the the marina are exactly what is shown in the pictures, if not nicer. The boat was clean and the bed was super comfy. The air conditioning kept the boat nice and cool when it was super hot outside. All of the people in and around the marina are very nice and welcoming. It was nice and quiet at night too which made for great nights sleep, rocking slightly to bed :) There were kayaks available all the time which was nice. The beach is a great place for swimming or reading a book at night. I enjoyed breakfast on the roof of the boat every day. There are places within walking distance to get a great dinner. Pennekamp park is 5 minutes away, driving. Abby is a fantastic host and a great person, so pleasant and fun. She was helpful in pointing me towards things to do when I asked. I had tons of fun hanging out on the beach with her and the other marina residents (and their awesome dogs). I hope I'm able to come back soon and spend more time on the Lil Bamboo :)
Megan2015-06-12T00:00:00ZAbigail was on hand to welcome us and was accommodating and available when needed. Delightful to deal with!
Di2014-11-08T00:00:00ZThis was a fantastic vacation!!! We had a great time and will love to come back any time!!! Thank you Abigail!!!
Michelle2016-11-14T00:00:00ZThis was by far the best getaway vacation of my life. Our Hostess made us feel so very welcome and was there to greet us and help navigate us through the usage of the houseboat. It was paradise. The location far exceeded my expectations. Everything about our trip was a sheer delight (except for my girlfiend's dog, which she never should have brought). It was so relaxing and just so very beautiful. I have been on cloud nine reliving my dream getaway at this dream location. I can not wait to go back.

This was the BEST decision we made as a married couple! We came to the Keys for our honeymoon and absolutely loved the houseboat and the amazing scenery there. Definitely a great idea for adventurous people who don't mind "camping out" on the water:)
Jesse & Sara2014-03-22T00:00:00ZMike was the perfect host and you can tell that he certainly has a passion for this incredible boat that he allows guests like us to share. We were there for 5 nights, had plenty of room for the two of us and had a mixture of weather from sun to rain storms and we loved every minute! I will add, just as Mike has said, that this beautiful getaway is not for everyone. If you love nature, love solitude, and can adapt to minimal luxuries then you will love it just as we did. I would suggest that if you've never stayed in a motor home or RV that you make notes when he goes over everything with you upon your arrival. He takes you to the boat and goes over every detail so that you are most prepared and comfortable. He also checked in with us regularly to make sure we were doing okay. Making coffee with the french press coffee maker was simple and easy. YouTube instructions if you're not sure you can do it! The advice Mike gives to bring flash lights, water shoes, etc. are important for making things run smoothly. We planned our on shore adventures during the day and made sure we were back before sunset because we never wanted to miss a single one! Kayaking provided some fun adventures too and a chance to see more underwater life. The chaise lounge chairs on the top deck were awesome and also the Bimini cover was helpful to use if you didn't want quite so much sun. My advice is don't over pack clothing. You will need very little. The least you have to carry to the boat upon arrival and departure the better! We also left a pair of dry shoes/sandals in our car so that we could take off our water shoes once we got there. The ice coolers are great and Mike has a shelf/basket in one to hold perishable items out of the ice/melted water. We packed simple food items for breakfast such as yogurt, fresh fruit, nuts and granola and snacked on cheese, crackers, salad, meat, fresh bread, etc. for lunch. We would go in for dinner around 4 pm. to allow a couple of hours on shore. We loved the food at Boondocks, and Looe Tiki Bar has a great breakfast sandwich and pub style food. Both had great covered open air patios and lots of local flavor! Key West is close / half an hour drive and worth the trip if you've never been. We left after breakfast and gave ourselves plenty of time to enjoy the day and return before sunset. To wrap things up, we are both in our 60's and in fairly good shape and didn't find anything to be too much of a challenge. But you have to be willing to go with the flow....enjoy the sunshine but also the (URL HIDDEN) flexible and resourceful as needed....and savor the freedom of nothing but natural...
Wanda2016-09-30T00:00:00ZI traveled with 3 other friends to Key West for the first time and we were looking for a unique experience - this boat house was the PERFECT place for us to truly indulge in what the Keys had to offer. Mike gave us an extremely thorough orientation of the boat, and he was always close by whenever we had questions or needed anything during our stay. He's an extremely reliable and welcoming host who also gave us superb recommendations for food and activities in the area. Best of all, the rental comes with water toys (kayak, scuba gear, paddleboat, lifejackets, etc) that are for the renter's use only! The best part about our stay was the GORGEOUS view of the sunset over the highway AND the most breathtaking view of the stars at night. We had never seen so many shooting stars in the skies, and we even saw the milky way. The view certainly left us speechless, especially for the affordable price attached to the stay. The space seems pretty small, but it fit all 4 of us very comfortably. Also, the description of the boat house and the experience that you should expect is VERY accurate. This is very different from a hotel, but it was well worth the extra effort. Nobody in our group ever lived on a boat house, but after this stay, we would gladly jump at the chance to do it again, ESPECIALLY with a host like Mike. You'll have the opportunity to stay in a hotel time and time again, but how many chances will you have to stay on a boat house anchored in the middle of the waters, jump into the waters as soon as you wake up in the morning, and fall asleep to the CLEAREST VIEW of the constellations?? I would've kicked myself if we opted for a hotel instead. The experience is what you make of it, and our group surely had the coziest stay ever. We would easily deem this the best road-trip any of us have ever been on. (This was also my first AirBNB experience too!)
Shirley2013-05-17T00:00:00ZMike's boat was amazing and was just as awesome as we hoped! It's rustic yet has everything you need (water, stovetop, dishes, cookware, etc). The views are incredible and we made sure to enjoy both the sunset and sunrise! Osprey, pelicans, and cormorants entertained us and hung out near the boat. Mike was a great host and made sure we were comfortable and that all of our questions were answered. He was very easy to get in contact with too! My husband and I are so grateful that we got to spend part of our honeymoon in such a cozy and charming houseboat in paradise!
Chelsea2017-01-25T00:00:00ZAbsolutely incredible waking up to 360 degrees of turquoise waters. Spectacular sunsets which have to be seen to be believed. Not sure there could be a better spot to stay in all the keys. Loved exploring via kayak...saw Rays, shark, porpoise, iguanas, and chickens everywhere! Definitely will return again.
Jolene2015-06-09T00:00:00ZWhat an amazing houseboat... We love it ! Mike is very welcoming, and his place is very quiet, nice and insolite. If we had one day the chance to come back to Florida, for sure we'll sleep again in Mike's houseboat :)
Fanny2014-05-17T00:00:00ZOur experience on the houseboat was exactly as Mike described in the listing. It's just like camping on the water. Navigating the dingy from the dock to the houseboat was initially a little scary for me, but I quickly gained confidence in stepping from one to the other and tying the dingy securely. My husband had no discomfort in captaining the dingy. The houseboat was anchored in an isolated bay, surrounded on three sides by mangroves. We never saw another person while on the boat. The only sounds, other than the sounds of nature, were the quiet sounds of traffic on the bridge in the distance and a bit of construction work due to installation of a new sewer line. The sounds were not loud enough to bother us. We had a pleasant breeze every night but one, such that air conditioning was not missed, and were not bothered by mosquitoes or other insects, except on that one really still night. We simply used the bug spray Mike provided on the screens, tracked down the couple of mosquitoes that had gotten in, and that took care of it. Mike responded promptly to our texts and phone calls and provided some much appreciated suggestions for activities and dining. We would love to go back!
Kimberly2014-02-08T00:00:00ZEverything was as discribed. Mike was a very friendly host. We can fully recommend this great accommodation.

We had a great experience on Captain Ron's boat. Great view of the stars and Christmas Tree Island. It was interesting to learn about the history of the boat and its equipment from the captain.
Hunter2017-05-16T00:00:00ZCaptain Ron is a very nice host and an experienced guy to live on sea with. His boat is very nice, the space wasn't big but we had pretty good privacy during our stay. Very interesting night.
Yucheng2017-05-15T00:00:00ZGreat sunset !
Claire2017-05-09T00:00:00ZWell worth it
Martin2017-05-08T00:00:00ZCaptain Ron was a great host and very helpful when coordinating travel plans. If you do stay a night with him, I highly suggest sleeping on the bean bag couch on the deck, makes for a very good nights sleep.
Devin2017-05-03T00:00:00ZPlace is great. It's an experience like no other. Read the whole note before booking and you will find no surprises. Get your water taxi and parking before sunset so you enjoy the experience better. Love this and thr Captain is great. My girlfriend force me to write that the bathroom is tiny. But I can add that she knew plus it was clean.
Yandi2017-04-30T00:00:00ZToo expensive for what it is! Boat looks nothing like the pictures and has a mildew smell in front sleeping quarters. Toilet area was unbearable to even get close to. Door needed to be keep closed! It's best to wait till last call with Water Taxi's latest pick-up around 10 pm if you do stay. I was ready to get off after the first hour! I had reserved for 2 nights but after being on boat for less than 2 hours, I thought I found Captain Ron and told him, we couldn't handle 2 nights and asked for refund on 2nd night. He agreed on refund but said the boat was clean and didn't smell! Evidently with him living on the boat, he was immune to the smell or didn't want to admit it! I wanted off asap the next morning and he knew it but instead he took the other 3 guest with luggage back to shore at 7:30am and we had to wait till 10:40am to leave. Worst experience ever and on my birthday!!! Planned this for 2 weeks also! I spent most of the next day looking for accommodations for my final night. NEVER AGAIN...
Jim2017-04-29T00:00:00ZHost is a good man, he is friendly and helpful. Bed is comfortable than we thought and we had a good sleep. Boat is in the middle of the sea. Boat has 3rooms, consist of six single beds. There were another 4 guests with us and we need to share living room and kitchen. So I think it is better for a group people, you can have fun and don't need to worry about bothering others. Anyway it is a different experience and you can try it.

We have nothing but good things to say about Alicia and Luis's room for us! Very clean space, and friendly hosts. Would definitely stay again!
Kassidy2017-03-13T00:00:00ZRoom was clean and very nice. Overall great stay.
Gaurav2017-02-27T00:00:00ZThe hosts can speak English and Chinese, they are so friendly to help me find my lost things. The house is very beautiful and the room is big enough for at least 4 people to live in. It is so clean and neat that we have a wonderful experience staying in this house.
Kun2016-05-14T00:00:00ZHuge room with own bathroom! Everything was very professional and easy.
Casper2017-02-11T00:00:00ZThe accommodations were exactly as described.... Beautiful and extremely clean. It was a great experience.
Laura2016-07-01T00:00:00ZLuis and Alicia's place is very nice. It's bigger as it appears on pictures and it's definitely very clean and lovely. In fact, it's like staying in a hotel as the house is very new.
Tanguy2017-03-01T00:00:00ZBest Airbnb experience EVER! GREAT value! GREAT communication! SUPER clean and spacious! I had to work late for Art Basel and Alicia and Luis let me check in late and were very accommodating to my needs! They are very organized and I'm sad that I can't stay longer! Thank you!

We had never stayed on a houseboat before, so this was an adventure for us. We loved the neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly and genuine; they introduced themselves and welcomed us. The absolute best part of our stay was sitting on the deck in the evening and early morning. One day I ventured out there at midday and by lucky chance saw three manatees gliding by right beside the boat. We liked the neighborhood outdoor cat, Tom. The bed was comfortable, and the entire visit was very relaxing. We could easily ride bikes into Key West's Old Town and beaches. If we go back to Key West, we would definitely consider staying here again. If you don't want to be around a lot of tourists but want to be with residents of the area, this is a nice place to stay.
Leslie2017-05-13T00:00:00ZPerfect accommodations for our two night stay in Key West. Comfy bed, cold AC, all of the essentials. Set on the outskirts of town, a nice break from the hustle and bustle of Downtown. Beautiful view from the roof and bedroom window. Hope to come back someday!
Kelsey2017-05-01T00:00:00ZAs already mentioned by others, it is slightly difficult to find as it is a bit hidden behind the taxi parking lot, but after some initial doubts we really enjoyed our stay on Brian's boat, our kids absolutely loved it. Fully equipped and functional, easy parking on the street, very nice neighbours. There were manatees swimming in front of the boat only a couple of feet away all day long, and we even got to see some Navy jets practice one morning, straight from the deck (don't worry, only during the day). A really quiet location at night.
Primoz2017-04-27T00:00:00ZVery comfortable and relaxing. Overall great place to stay
Miles2017-04-23T00:00:00ZNice houseboat for 1-2 people.
George2017-04-16T00:00:00ZThe houseboat was easy to find and a quick drive to all the downtown delights. We appreciated the quiet and beautiful views from the bedroom. You have everything you need, but if you're looking for luxury find it elsewhere... it's a houseboat so set your expectations accordingly! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Aubrey2017-04-14T00:00:00ZLocation is quiet and away from the partying of Duval Street. Staying on a houseboat is a great experience, though I would encourage Brian to update linens, shower and carpets.
Karen2017-04-07T00:00:00ZLovely place that has you forgetting you're on a boat because of its well decorated spacious interior. Friendly neighbors and free street parking always available. Very attentive hosts!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and well prepared. This place was located close to Key West. We really appreciated the host waking up at 6am to make coffee for us before we left. We will definately stay here again when visiting Key West.
Soohee2015-03-07T00:00:00ZGreat place in a beautiful location! C.C. was very accommodating and made us feel like home. She even helped us get going for a quick paddle in her kayaks which is definitely to recommend!
Mina2016-02-25T00:00:00ZGreat place away from the hustle and bustle of Key West. First time using Air BnB and wasn't sure what to expect. Never saw C.C. but she was prompt with communication and made the experience super easy. Her cat was super friendly. Even though I do have allergies, I was fine. Thanks again C.C.!
Corinne2017-04-23T00:00:00ZWe enjoyed our staying with CC's house. Her house is almost 30minutes to key west by cars and easy to find. Her house is quiet and keep clean.
Toshie2017-04-02T00:00:00Zreally good! a big beautiful house! it's a pity that no opputunity to see u.
yvonne2016-02-15T00:00:00ZGreat place! Host was nice and room clean. Location is just by the water where you can sit and relax.

Everything about Natalie's place is a treat. We enjoyed the beautiful skies of southern FL, lush semi tropical vegetation, a unique agricultural landscape (okra fields in bloom, avocado orchards flowering), and the most gracious of hostesses. The Pool House has a cool Keys vibe, is clean and spacious, and the beds were a dream. We were treated to a fantastic breakfast spread of pancakes, pastries, fruit, and FRESH eggs gathered from their own live-in flock. Can't wait to visit again, it's such a cool unique spot. Thanks so much Natalie!
Sally2016-04-22T00:00:00ZYou won't be disappointed if you stay here! It truly is a lovely place. 100% recommanded
Kate2016-04-20T00:00:00ZSuch a great experience from the moment we were greeted at the door till the hugs goodbye. Already planning to make this my stop next year as part of our annual trip to Florida. From the family dinner option to the fresh fruits from the garden and home made goodies. To the great conversation. Memorable!
Rosanna2017-01-22T00:00:00ZNatalie and her team were great hosts. The breakfast poolside was a daily treat to look forward to. The pool house photo could be updated to be more current (we were slightly disappointed that things looked a bit more crowded and dated than the photo online). The beds were very comfortable, but the house itself is directly in the middle of the accomation complex so noise was a slight issue, but if you're looking for somewhere to meet fellow travellers, interact and share a beer at the end of the day, this place can't be beat on atmosphere, friendliness, and ease of leisure! We would definitely come back! Thank you Natalie :)
Nadia2017-02-16T00:00:00ZWonderful host! Nice location for visitors to the Everglades National Park. They greet us like family members, which made me feel like home. Delicious food! more than that: the only Michelin star restaurant nearby the National Park, I think. We shall visit again!
Jian2017-03-20T00:00:00ZThe listing for the pool house was completely accurate. A large kitchen / living room and 2 great bedrooms! Nice bathroom. All very clean and cozy! Kitchen was well equipped for cooking, lots of spices provided. Some good condiments left in fridge for our use. On our arrival Natalie showed us all around the house and grounds. Invited us in to watch TV with them because there is no TV in the pool house or the Airstreams. Glen and Natalie make a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Unlimited coffee and juice as soon as you sit down for breakfast. All kinds of fresh fruit, some of it grown by them. Freshly made pancakes one day, chocolate chip waffles and waffles with strawberry sauce the other day. They had toast, yogurt, other goodies all over the table. We were offered eggs both days in addition to the waffles and pancakes. Eggs that were laid by their own chickens on the farm. Natalie and Glen were excellent hosts, the most helpful, knowledgable and caring people we have come across in a long time! We will be back when we come back this way...the only thing missing was a TV. I did not miss the TV but hubby did. Like I said they had invited us in to share their TV! I sure hope to come back to visit Natalie and Glen again.
Kathy2015-02-14T00:00:00ZThe hosts are lovely and hospitable! They cook GREAT food and the breakfast is free and fresh! I highly recommended this pool house to everyone!!
Sally2016-12-20T00:00:00ZWe didn't leave the compound but it was located among farm fields and we felt very safe. Loved the location. We'd go back in a minute! They were able to accommodate our large scout group and keep us together. We also loved the cookies and they provided plenty of yummy food!

The house was cozy and comfortable. Great for a couple. Having use of the kayaks and snorkel gear was awesome. I highly recommend.
Eden2017-05-11T00:00:00ZKevin was an amazing host! Our first time down to the Keys has left us wanting more and planning a trip to stay with Kevin again soon. The property is amazing - kayaks, swimming access, hammocks, bocce and more. Our cottage was clean, well equipped with everything we could need and cool. The nightlife and restaurant recommendations Kevin gave us were spot on. We had a great dinner at Habanos and so much fun dancing and drinking at Hog Heaven. This is a MUST book! Enjoy.
Brett2017-05-08T00:00:00ZLoved this calm area, great garden and super nice hosts!!!
Manja2017-04-27T00:00:00ZWe had a great 3 night stay at Kevin's place. The accommodation is as described except it is not possible to describe how beautiful the views and sunsets were. The apartment had everything we needed and Kevin gave us a recommendation for Lazy Days restaurant which was excellent. The rest of the time we took advantage of the kitchen and especially the dedicated gas grill. We would certainly stay here again for our next trip to the Keys.
Karen2017-04-24T00:00:00ZThis felt like "old Florida," simple, quiet and authentic. We loved being right next to the water. We enjoyed playing lawn games with other guests -- especially getting a lesson in petanque/boules from a French man. Kevin was kind and friendly as were the other staff. We would certainly stay here again.
Meg2017-04-21T00:00:00ZThis was a great place to stay....the view is AMAZING, cottage was very comfortable and clean. Kevin was a great host, very friendly with some great restaurant recommendations. Would not hesitate to stay here on our next trip to the keys.
Jody2017-04-14T00:00:00ZWe had an excellent stay at The Cottage! Very comfortable and amazing view! Kevin and his sidekick, Buddy, were great hosts! He even offered to pick us up anything we needed when he went into town. So personable! Would definitely stay here again.
Heather2017-04-09T00:00:00ZBeautiful property, great snorkeling, kayaking and sunset views. Kevin was friendly and helpful with dinner and sightseeing suggestions. It was a perfect base for exploring the Keys.

Rented a one night stay for a quick getaway to the keys and it was perfect. Cozy, quiet, and convenient. The house was clean, full access to kitchen, and snacks galore. It's a 15-20min drive downtown which wasn't bad at all. We lucked out as the other room went unrented and basically had the whole place to ourselves. Did not meet the host but she was very accommodating and I'd recommend in a heartbeat. All in all a great experience.
Jeffrey2016-05-07T00:00:00ZCC went over and above to make the experience perfect. Great place to stay.
Jeff 2015-11-01T00:00:00ZConveniently located place with everything you need. Would recommend !
Jakob2016-10-20T00:00:00ZThe room was comfortable and clean, as well as the bathroom (with shampoo and conditioner too, which is convenient). The house is a bit far from Key West but it's ok to hang around. We didn't meet CC but we had her on the phone to get the right directions and she left a lot of flyers in the house.
Marlène2015-02-27T00:00:00ZC.C. was very easy to reach and responded quickly to emails and texts, and once we arrived at the house she was friendly and welcoming. As she no longer lives on the property we didn't see her after check-in but we knew she was only a phone call away. The house is lovely; quiet and comfortable, not too far from Key West or Bahia Honda, and it was great having our own bathroom, plus spacious kitchen and laundry at our disposal. Our bedroom (one of two in the house) was clean, bright, spacious and absolutely perfect for three nights. During our stay, we met another couple of guests who were staying in the second bedroom who were absolutely charming. Highly recommend a stay at C.C's if you're in the Keys!
Richelle and Grégory2015-07-14T00:00:00ZLovely home. Everything just as she described it. Very nice stay. Check out the Key Deer area just a few miles away. Would stay again
Jaye2017-04-07T00:00:00ZEverything was perfect! A nice, comfortable house, very clear instructions and information--in all, a very smooth transaction and a very pleasant stay. The fridge and deck could have been a little cleaner but everything was fine otherwise.
DEBORAH2015-01-26T00:00:00ZWe did not get a chance to meet C.C because our stay was really quick for a night. The place was perfect and really clean. It was in a really calm neighborhood and the house has everything we needed for our use. We went to Key west so the travel was not long, it is a good option for the ones not trying to stay in key west.. Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone.
