I was just passing through town for a night. A storm delayed my flight. The host was nice enough to pick us up from the airport which was really awesome considering the bad weather.
Anissia2016-06-07T00:00:00ZCan't beat the price. Central location, easy parking, walk to great coffee shop, high ceilings in an old building, old deep tub to soak in. Derek is a great guy, easy going & responsive. Steep steps to second floor in case you are mobility challenged. Big screen to use movie app; no tv channels. Very adequate kitchen for a long term stay. I think I saw a small grocery store nearby. Apartment on same floor blasts their music all day but once inside Derek's apartment you can't hear it. Earplugs if sensitive to some car noise at night. But I soaked in the tub & passed out. Would definitely stay here again.
Zakee2017-03-11T00:00:00ZMy friend and I enjoyed our stay at Derek's. It looks much cuter in person, nice high ceilings. Great location - close to the Inner Harbor and easy access to DC. Derek is easy to work with, very quick to respond. We also wanted to note that the place is really warm, despite what one previous reviewer wrote. There is a furnace in the unit that heats up quickly. We were concerned after reading the other review, but it was a non-issue. The bathroom is small but adequate. Nice little place for those on a budget.
Lisa2017-01-22T00:00:00ZDereks place was very nice, cosy and very clean. We enjoyed staying there very much. Especially Derek is really nice and very helpfull and picked us up at the bus station and brought us to the appartment. Thanks for that! I can really recommend Dereks place!
Britta2017-05-13T00:00:00ZNice comfortable place to stay in Baltimore. Felt like I was at home. Thanks Derek! I'll be back soon.
Stanley2017-04-12T00:00:00ZDerek is a good guy. He accepted my reservation and the place was clean, furnished and comfortable. Thank you so much Derek although we never met in person you seem like a good guy. I would definitely book again
Mikaeel2016-11-28T00:00:00ZDerek's place is cool. He has high ceilings with big windows that allow for a lot of natural light. The room itself is a studio so it is pretty open format and feels clean and spacious even though the bathroom and kitchen are fairly small spaces. It was an awesome place for me to relax and get to see Baltimore. Derek was there when we arrived and helped with the TV, local places, and anything else we needed to know about the space. He was able to be flexible with my arrival and departure since the day before and after me weren't booked.
Olivia2017-02-12T00:00:00ZIt gets the job done. A place to lay your head. The connection on the tv was terrible so that was out, and the noise coming from the streets during the night weren't exactly pleasant. But overall, it was a place to stay for a really reasonable price.

Amira2017-05-15T00:00:00ZWalkable distance to the main attractions, residential neighborhood, good choice !
Ricardo2017-03-19T00:00:00ZVery convenient to Mt. Vernon and Downtown, yet just far enough away to not be in the middle of it. Basic (adequate) furnishings, nice bed, and clean. Exceptional value for a private place in Baltimore. Faye was also very helpful to meet when I got in a bit late.
Daniel2017-05-11T00:00:00ZFaye is a great host. She responds my message very promptly and supported all my requests to make my stay comfortable.

Great place to stay. It was a very quiet house and having a private bath was nice. They had folded towels on bed and toiletries in bathroom. Great location within walking distance to "the avenue".
Brenden2016-01-04T00:00:00ZWe really enjoyed our visit to Baltimore. Nick was an excellent host and told us how to get to some great places to eat within walking distance. Room was as advertised and the beds were VERY comfortable as were the pillows!! We stayed in the basement and had the whole floor to ourselves. It was quiet and dark which allowed us to sleep in. Neighborhood felt very safe to include parking on the street. Carolyn was very timely with all communications. Highly recommend this location if you need a place to stay in Baltimore - super close to JHU!
Jodi2016-05-25T00:00:00ZTerrific place. The room was beautiful, and they provided an excellent printed guidebook with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, which we referenced right away. We had a private floor to ourselves in the basement and a door directly out to the backyard. The bed was very comfortable, and it was helpful to have a small desk right in our room. Our host provided a door code to let ourselves in, so we were able to come and go easily while enjoying the city. We actually never met Nick, the house manager, in person. But we did meet another guest who was staying upstairs with his family. All the information we needed to make the most of our trip was conveniently included in the house rules and guidebook. Loved the space - this is a real gem in Baltimore, and I would happily return.
Sam2016-04-30T00:00:00ZWe stayed at Carolyn's place on our first trip back to Baltimore after moving to NYC a few months earlier. Carolyn and property manager Nick were both very friendly and quick to respond to inquiries. The house is easy to find and access, and the room was neat, clean and comfortable, as advertised. It was perfect. We had a great trip and would highly recommend it. Thank you!
Robert2014-10-12T00:00:00ZWonderful room quiet, private and comfortable. Plenty of street parking. Everything we needed and a kitchen to use. We made ourselves coffee and we left for the day. I would definitely stay at this house any time I come back to Baltimore. Nick the house manager was friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home and very safe.
carol2015-04-20T00:00:00ZThe room was so comfortable and we slept very well. I would recommend the room for anyone who's tired from a long day of sightseeing.
Kody2014-12-16T00:00:00ZOverall, we had a good stay. Communication with Carolyn through emails went well. Nick, who lived onsite, was friendly and helpful and provided suggestions for some favourite local places to eat. There was a keylock installed which made check-in and check-out easy. We only stayed for a night but would look to stay again if we're ever back in Baltimore!

The area of town that this apt is in is a bit unsafe. There was literally a single coffee cup, no plates, but there was an old microwave you could use. It was extremely sparsely outfitted, although there was free water in the fridge. The bed was really uncomfortable. Overall I wouldn't stay here again. Check in was very easy though.

I had a very nice time with this sweet couple and their cozy row house. You'll get a lot of privacy with your own room and bathroom. For people not from a city the area can be a little rough but they are very good at directing you. I had to get to Hopkins and the location was very convenient.
Michael2015-10-31T00:00:00ZThis is such a lovely family to stay with - they are some of the nicest people I've met travelling and I'd thoroughly recommend staying with them. The bedroom is really nice and the bathroom is large with a great shower and plenty of towels. The room is quiet - perfect as a place to stay for a working visit. It's a 10 minute walk to downtown and Wholefoods. A great place to stay in Baltimore!
Jane2016-06-11T00:00:00ZClean room with easy access to own bathroom & close distance to the downtown area.
Olena2016-05-15T00:00:00ZAishish and Varsha were very welcoming. We had been in touch several times prior to my stay, as I had special scheduling needs, and they were very accommodating. I had the privacy I needed, and I felt very safe in their home, and in their neighborhood. It was peaceful and quiet. I walked several times from their home to the Convention Center. This was my first airbnb stay, and I could not have been happier. Their home is very clean and welcoming, and Aishish and Varsha were great hosts.
Leslie2016-04-09T00:00:00ZThe room was very nice and cozy and the host and his family make me feel welcome and were very accommodating. The location is not far from the inner harbor and express ways.
Lisa2016-07-01T00:00:00ZVery nice location to downyown and welcoming host. Privacy of room and bathroom very good. Room was cold however, a heater was provided.
Brian C.2016-12-10T00:00:00ZThe room was exactly how it was described. House was clean and well kept. We kept in contact before arriving which was helpful since we were able to check in a little earlier. Thank you for the hospitality
Jacqueline2016-05-02T00:00:00ZVery nice people with a great home. The neighborhood has an iffy vibe late at night, but is great during the day. I guess it's very similar to the rest of the city in that manner.

We have never met the hosts personally but the communication for the check in was perfect. Their place is really cozy and very clean. I can definitely recommend this air bnb. Thank you!
Katrin2016-12-27T00:00:00ZGreat experience. Had 0 problems. House is exactly as described.
Ashley2016-11-23T00:00:00ZGreat, affordable place to stay. Very quiet.
Julie2017-04-07T00:00:00ZSarah is a wonderful communicator and you can not beat the price and comfort for an entire apartment. Even if you need to go to central Baltimore, taking uber back and forth comes out to be the same cost as parking downtown which is expensive. Sarah's directions and quick replies were great. This place is special find if you wish to stay somewhere that is alternative to downtown.
martin2017-03-25T00:00:00ZThe room was very comfortable to be in. I enjoyed it. Having the TV and DVDs to watch and also the Keurig was convenient. Location was close by to major roads which made my trips convenient and fun. Would stay again! P.S. For sure try the Grill Cheese Sandwich restaurant that's down the street.
Jose2016-12-14T00:00:00ZThis was my first Airbnb reservation & let me tell you all the bar is set high. Never saw the host Sarah but she was very quick in replying to the messages I had for her. The basement was clean & perfect for the weekend. With her place being only 20mins from the inner harbor, it was such a great value. Would definitely reccomend this to anyone. May book again if I happen to be back in the area. Thank you Sarah!

The host definitely made me feel welcome. She was very helpful in terms of recommending places to shop and eat. The price is unbeatable.
Daniel2015-01-09T00:00:00ZJeannette was amazingly friendly and helpful. She provided a lot of good information about Baltimore based on my interests. Everything is as described and pictured on the listing. I was only in town for a quick interview trip, but for the brief time I had was very enjoyable. Thank you, Jeannette!
David2016-03-10T00:00:00ZJeanette is the best! She provided me with great tips what to see and where to go in Baltimore. This was my first airbnb experience and it was a great one. The Shire is very spacious and has a nice half-bath. I would definitely recommend staying with Jeanette for everyone!
Laura2015-10-11T00:00:00ZJeanette was a very attentive and gracious host! Stress free stay.
Elly2016-02-27T00:00:00ZI loved my stay at The Shire. Jeannette was a wonderful host who not only accommodated to my basic needs at the house (sleep, shower, etc.) but also interacted with me during my stay there. I've mostly encountered hosts who pretty much left me alone. However Jeannette told me her travel stories which were very intriguing, recommended me places to visit and even walked with me to show the beautiful murals of Billie Holiday. I don't think I would've ever seen them unless a local pointed them out. Moreover, her house is located in a safe area and it is walking distance to lots of wonderful restaurants, cafes, and shops. My stay at Jeannette's definitely contributed to the fact that I really enjoyed my first time visit to Baltimore and I would come again.
Liz2016-02-08T00:00:00ZWe had a wonderful time with Jeannette and her attention to our comfort was amazing!
Evo2016-08-08T00:00:00ZWonderful location and a wonderful host. The room is quiet and roomy (not for the tall, though). The neighborhood is close to Fell's Point, a park, and a number of restaurants. Easy and cheap to get downtown walking or by using Uber. I had only some rough ideas for what to do during my 2 days in Baltimore. Jeannette was very helpful in recommending great places to eat, interesting neighborhoods, and notable landmarks. She made a map for me, and had some good advice for traveling in general. Will definitely stay here again when I come back to Baltimore.
Gaetano2014-10-21T00:00:00ZI felt like in my house. Jeannette is di clear to explain and show you each item you need know during your staying.

A great host. And a beautiful home. Can't wait to visit again.
Derek2016-02-01T00:00:00ZGeorge was a wonderful host in every way. He welcomed us in with open arms, acted as a knowledgable tour guide of Fell's Point, and even offered us homemade meatloaf for dinner! What a guy! His home is gorgeous and perfectly maintained -- rustic accents and time-honored maritime style. It was a great experience for us, even just for a night. Thanks, George!
Mike2016-02-16T00:00:00ZBunny's was great. Amazing location close to Fells Point, bars and nightlife. George was a very hospitable and accommodating host. A good first experience in Baltimore.
Soonen2016-02-08T00:00:00ZBunny's B&B was perfect for us! We were in Baltimore for a wedding, and felt completely taken care of of. Unfortunately, we only met George very briefly because we were running late to the wedding. But he gave us a warm welcome and showed us everything we would need. There was wifi and very clear directions in the room on the check-out process. Parking was simple, there is a Citgo almost next door to Bunny's where we could park. The room was really cute, comfortable, and inviting. Everything was well-kept and clean. The location is fantastic. We definitely recommend Bunny's.
Christa2016-04-25T00:00:00ZMr. George Frazier was an incredibly gracious host - so thoughtful and friendly! Extremely accommodating and easy to talk to. When I arrived on my first day, he was waiting for me at the door and gave me a tour of the place and explained everything to me. I immediately felt welcome. The location of George's home is perfect for the Fell's Point/Inner Harbor area. I walked everywhere! I was especially enamored by my roommate, Bunny - George's talkative black and white cat. I never felt lonely! I stayed at Bunny's B&B for five days and I never felt uncomfortable. A great experience and a great price! Definitely recommended!
Eric2015-11-27T00:00:00ZUnfortunately I did not meet George. The housesitter was fine. The location was close to the harbor although it was suggested at night to take uber from the harbor. I was there 4 nights and busy with days of wedding festivities so it worked out fine. Reasonable price and room is great for one person.
Ronna2016-07-12T00:00:00ZGeorge was a very kind host— talkative and helpful without being obtrusive. His place is tucked back on a quiet side-street, about a 5-10 minute walk away from good food in the Fells area, and 10-15 away from Little Italy. I would stay there again.
Spencer2015-04-30T00:00:00ZThis was my first Airbnb experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one. George was an amazing host even from half way across the country. His place was superb and exactly as he mentioned in his profile and pics. I would recommend anyone to stay here when they are in Baltimore. Cheers!!

Matthew2016-07-29T00:00:00ZMy experience staying at the Stylish Oasis in Baltimore was great! Unfortunately I was not able to meet the host in person due to a very busy day exploring the city of Baltimore, but they were still in constant contact with me to ensure all of my needs were met during my stay. The apartment was about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Inner Harbour area of Baltimore and found that it was very easy to locate.
Kelsey2016-06-20T00:00:00ZGood location and great host. Towels smelled bad tho.
June2017-05-17T00:00:00ZGreat Location, clean and Zak is extremely friendly and made sure that I had a smooth check in.
Tessa2017-04-15T00:00:00ZZak was so responsive to each of my communications to him, and was very helpful in giving advice on parking (providing the permit for guests to park right outside is so considerate!), directions etc. The street was very cute and well lit, and within walking distance of the places I needed. This was a very quick trip for me, and was exactly what I needed for a nice, safe, affordable place to sleep for a night.
Kathleen2016-11-08T00:00:00ZBedroom was clean, and the bathroom was spotless. I didn't meet the host till later in the afternoon, but I had no issues finding the place, or getting inside. Cozy, and very fun to stay in.

Rich is a super nice guy. I stayed with him for a month while looking for a permanent spot. The room has a big comfy bed, a desk and a tv. The rest of the home is super comfy, nice kitchen and located directly across from a park. Great home, great host.
Raymond2015-04-02T00:00:00ZAn awesome stay with a great host. The house is beautiful and central to where we needed to be. Definitely hoping to stay with Rich next time I'm in town. Thanks Rich!
Walker2016-06-14T00:00:00ZI had a wonderful time at Rich's place. He was a kind and gracious host and his place is comfortable and cozy- looks even better than the pictures here. Rich's space is right next to a quiet public park and you can't go wrong with this location.
Kene2016-06-01T00:00:00ZRich was very nice and was waiting when we arrived. He showed us around a beautiful property in a great neighborhood. We couldn't stay and chat much because we had an event to attend but can tell you Rich is great host. I recommend Rich to everyone.
Stephen2015-09-21T00:00:00ZRich has clearly gone through great lengths to turn his home into a near hotel-quality stay. From the mints on the nightstands to the clearly-labelled guest towels, soaps, and shampoos in the bathroom, everything is set up to provide a comfortable experience with minimal fuss. Wish we had been able to stay longer to take advantage of everything on offer -- we'll just have to come back through next time we're in Baltimore! Great location, great accommodations, great spot! PS. parking may be a bit of a hunt... we lucked out but you may have to hoof it a few blocks if you arrive after dark. Otherwise very convenient!
troupe2016-01-06T00:00:00ZRich was kind and accommodating. Great time
Kenya2017-03-26T00:00:00ZI had a great stay in Rich's home. It is located right next to Riverside Park and within walking distance to many restaurants and other businesses. Patrick's house is just perfect ! Really nice, near Downtown Baltimore. Patrick is very kind, helpfull and available for his hosts.
Lena 2017-04-03T00:00:00ZThis place was my first AirBnB experience and I couldn't have been happier about picking this place. Went down for an Orioles game and was only 5 minutes away (walking ) from Camden Yards! Patrick was very polite and a great host. Very easy to communicate with and respectful. The pics don't do this room justice. The area is much bigger than expected and includes a nice walk out porch! All amenities are easy to get to as well. Used Uber from the Inner Harbor and it was only $9! Can't argue with that! This place is well worth it.
John2017-04-22T00:00:00ZI could not have had a better host or first experience with an airbnb stay. Patrick is a relaxed and gracious host. He's very knowledgeable about Baltimore and provided invaluable help with driving directions, things to do and where to buy food and adult beverages! I was truly sorry to have to leave my sweet, third floor nest.
Tracy2017-04-01T00:00:00ZThe deck was lovely in person, and the room was spacious and clean.
Adree2017-05-09T00:00:00ZPatrick was very warm, welcoming, and very informative on good places to eat and go in MD. His family was great as well and even made me cookies! (delicious). The room was very comfortable and had more than enough space for my stuff. I love bunk beds too and had to jump on that opportunity. Stay here for sure if you are in the area!
Erika2017-03-20T00:00:00ZPatrick's place is great! His place was clean, safe, and close to downtown. I would stay there again.
Sean2017-03-23T00:00:00ZPatrick is a kind thoughtful host and made my short stay very enjoyable

Sergey and Jenia were very responsive hosts, and though we didn't meet, they were quick to answer the questions we had by email. All the logistics went smoothly. The description in the listing is accurate. Its a third floor walk up in a quirky old building, so you have to be ready for stairs. Once you get to the third floor, its clean, comfortable, and stylish. The rooms are mostly quite small, and somewhat sparsely but tastefully furnished with a mix of antiques and Ikea, yard sale art and cozy textiles. I have a feeling that as time goes on they will add more artistic and interesting touches. The queen size bed is firm but cushy, and the small beds are very firm. The front bedroom, by far the largest space, is very attractive and sunny. In the kitchen there was a bag of good coffee and a little coffeemaker, and a bottle of wine to welcome us. There was a saucepan, a frying pan and a couple sharp knives, which was all we needed for minimal meal preparation. The bathroom is cleverly designed, and fully renovated. You have to wait a few minutes for the hot water to come up. Bolton Hill is a leafy historic neighborhood of old Baltimore row houses. If you bring a car, you have to move it around every two hours during weekdays, but there is a nearby spot near a park where you don't need to worry about that. We go to Baltimore to visit our MICA student, and this place perfect for that. Highly recommended as long as you enjoy old house character and your knees are in good shape.
Anne2017-05-16T00:00:00ZThis Bolton Hill home is spectacular! The house itself feels like a grand palace from another time, and the Airbnb apartment on the top floor is just as lovely, while also feeling private, cozy, and comfortable. The hosts are so kind and easy to talk to, and you really get a sense of their personalities throughout the home. Communication with them was super easy, as was finding the house and getting around Baltimore. I only wish I could have stayed longer- this would be an amazing house to throw a dinner party in! Especially loved the way the Airbnb apartment was decorated- everything felt homey but modern, not like staying in a generic page from an Ikea catalogue, but more like the home of a friend who has traveled the world. Beds were comfortable. Also props for the cute kitchen- had everything we needed to make meals at home. Highly recommended!

Floria2017-05-16T00:00:00ZVery comfortable bed. Brittany was very accommodating, as we booked our stay at the last minute and needed a late arrival. Great suggestion for breakfast! We loved Cafe Jovial.
Jonni2017-04-05T00:00:00ZGreat area, close to Fed Hill, as well as the harbor which was convenient. The neighborhood was fairly quiet, and the house is really clean! I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested.

Derrick was great. A pleasure to stay with. Kind and polite man. Would recommend.
Hisham2017-04-16T00:00:00ZThe inside of the house is very clean. Derick is very helpful and accommodating. Locating the apartment was a bit difficult for me because I reached after sunset and could not read the apartment numbers. The bedroom window is towards the road, so you might feel disturbed during night because of the traffic. The place is close to downtown Baltimore. I will recommend other guests to stay at Derick's place. He is a great host.
Muhammad Waqar2017-03-26T00:00:00ZDerick will bend backwards to accommodate you, a really gracious host and really made it easy in Baltimore. He gave us lots of tips too and we had a great time. Thanks again Derick!
Freddy2017-02-18T00:00:00ZI loved Derick's so much that I extended my trip by two days. The ambience is wonderful and he makes every effort to make sure you're provided with everything you may need. I want to thank him for being such a wonderful host again. I don't even want to go back to my house now But if you're looking for somewhere clean, accessible to Downtown (5 minute Uber), budget-friendly, and with a wonderful host I couldn't recommend Derick's enough!

He did whatever possible to make it an enjoyable stay. His place is very clean and his acompany was great. i surely miss the night talks we had about history, politics, etc. The place is located just a few minutes bus ride from Baltimore inner harbor. It is very accessible. I recommend it to whoever wants to have a good stay in Baltimore.
