Great place to stay for walking etc, bars restaurants within walking distance aswell as the park and the scenery is excellent.

Squirrels Retreat was the perfect place to stay for our party of 4. Right beside the stunning Kilbroney Park in the picturesque town of Rostrevor it is the perfect location to visit all the stunning Mourne area. This accommodation has been finished to a very high standard, fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Comfy beds, tv in all bedrooms, stunning bathroom and shower, great kitchen area fully equipped with everything you could possibly think of and Annie had left some grocery supplies for us also. There was also Bbq area outside with seating. Washing machine & dryer. Annie was a lovely host who accommodated us very well, was always very quick to answer any messages I sent and gave clear and concise instructions on how it enter the property. This property is exactly as described. Five star we would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect, clear and helpful instructions on everything. Lots of brochures on activities in the area. Also he had milk, pancakes and chocolates which was a lovely touch.

What a find. Sharon was a fabulous host and she had thought of everything to make us feel at home. Magical views from the sun room and the whole apartment was luxuriously appointed. Comfortable beds and every amenity imaginable. The local restaurants were fabulous - great food, friendly staff and a handy local shop within easy walk. We will definitely be back.
