Loved our stay at Shelagh’s! She had really thought of everything and it felt super homey. The little decoration touches, the breakfast, the log burner, she even left cake for us! It was all so so thoughtful, we loved sitting out the back having a drink and watching the sheep 😊 I would say a car is pretty essential if you want to go out, it’s a short drive to lots of little villages. We loved the coffee & bacon baps at the street bakery!

Two years after our last stay in Binsey, we were very happy to return for another week. It was a very nice welcome, we had lovely conversations with Alison and Steve. Binsey is unique, quite, excellent if you need time to write or read. Rent a bike for journeys to Jerchio, the city center, colleges or the University hospital. We can highly recommend this place and hope to return in the near future.

What a fantastic find! So glad it was available for my last minute getaway in Farnham. The flat is tucked away at the end of a beautiful garden, but only 5 mins walk to the town centre. It was beautifully furnished - spotless and comfortable throughout. The little kitchen area was really well equipped, and thoughtfully stocked with plenty for breakfast and beyond. Two very peaceful nights sleep - with blackout blinds that really did work (so many don't!). Hilary and Keith were excellent hosts, helpful and quick to respond to any messages. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

Edward’s been a great host. Responsive and flexible, allowed me to move my booking after the cut-off and facilitated another person’s arrival last minute. The place was clean, cosy and clearly fitted with quality in mind. Freshly refurbished, too. Surprisingly good food and taxi service in the area. I had some trouble with climate control (resolved) and water temperature. The vertical structure means the bottom will be chilly while the top is stuffy. The radiators either shined 1000 lumens or blinked “night mode heating” 100 lumens. The shower water temperature was practically unchangeable and depended on how long ago the boiler heated it up, which made it impossible to shower in the morning. I’m sure Edward would have resolved it, but my stay was too brief for me to bother. The pain-au-chocolat breakfast was a nice touch (and they magically appeared on my wake up), but I would much rather have granola and/or a microwave. Nonetheless, greatly enjoyed the stay. Would recommend.

The host communicated very well and was very well organised, courteous and welcoming. The Stables is a lovely property, beautifully finished and in a great location. On site parking was available which is important to me. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to visit again when I am in Hertfordshire.

A very well-equipped, super posh and spacious 'garden shed' set within the hosts' garden. A comfortable double bed, bijou loo/shower room, and enough space to swing a cat, not that I would do such a thing. Hosts Vanessa and Ian were very welcoming, and I had all that I needed, with some nice touches like fresh bread, a bottle of milk in the fridge, cereals, jam, coffee, tea, etc all provided. It's ideally placed for walking or cycling in the Chilterns, and I can recommend the Red Lion (as featured in Midsomer Murders!), about a mile away in Little Missenden, for your supper. If you crave absolute silence, then be aware that you can hear the distant hum of traffic from the A-road down the hill. But it's not too intrusive. Overall, recommended.

We had a wonderful stay - would highly recommend. The place was spotlessly clean and very cosy and welcoming. Jack has thought of everything and the care taken in the little extras were much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable and absolutely massive! The shower was so good - really powerful and easy to use. Everywhere was beautiful and thoughtfully designed - particularly appreciated the thick curtains which both enabled cosy privacy and also light blocking in the morning. Plenty of plug points available for chargers etc - again, really thoughtfully placed. The setting was divine and waking up to the sound of the birds was a joy! Absolutely 10/10 stay - thanks Jack x

This is the best of old fashioned BnBs, in a real person's real home. One host, one guest, friendly discussion over a civilised breakfast. Quiet street just off a big park, with a bus route on the other side of the park. Less than 30 minutes' walk to the station. So far, so good. AND THEN! An idyllic little river at the bottom of the garden (not the Thames); Andrea kindly lent me her kayak. I paddled a little way upstream, and then, oops, swam back. The brook is perfect for both activities, depending on your skill. Andrea hosed me down without a fuss. I couldn't ask for a better host.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The house was spotless, stylishly decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. To our surprise, the most essential groceries were already provided in the house, which made us feel incredibly welcome and at home from the start. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were super cozy, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing. The location was quiet but still close to everything. Our host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in and communication smooth and easy. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

I booked Kate's AirBnB for my mom's visit and she had a lovely time. The AirBnB is separate from Kate and Ian's place and she had a lot of space to herself. The location is very close to London Road train station and Stoke Park, and walking distance to the high street. It also had all the amenities needed. Kate was really friendly and helpful. She provided helpful guidance about the place and the area (including things to do around town). She was also very responsive to messages and messaged if there was anything she wanted us to be aware of. Would recommend and would book again.

Cute Annexe in the countryside. very quiet, warm and cosy, and the array of lamps really accentuated this. nice large dining lounge space and comfortable bed. lovely little extras with the local apple juice , butter, bread and milk etc with a nespresso coffee machine. towels are very fluffy and large too. davina was very helpful and her washing up fairy did a magical job.

I’ve stayed at Julie’s place a few times now. Beautiful, single bed rooms, semi-self-sufficient (small fridge, kettle). Very clean, very private. Julie is an excellent host, very responsive & helpful. And it’s less than a mile into the middle of Oxford. Highly recommend.

We booked to stay with Lesley as we had a booking at the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, which is a short walk from the house. The room was spotless and had lots of nice touches such as a selection of tea bags, shortbread biscuits aswell as shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom Lesley made us a lovely continental breakfast with beautiful warm pastries and was a fantastic host. Communication was also great beforehand. There are lovely walks in the surrounding countryside and a great pub in the village. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others Thank you again Lesley!
