A terrific experience! Location is perfect to explore the region. Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Marzamemi and Siracusa are very close, less than an hour drive, and on a lazy day you can chill on an empty (in May) and beautiful beach just 2 km from the house (easy to walk to). Andrea’s house is small but very cozy, perfect for a couple or family with couple of kids. And the bonus: if you are interested in agriculture and want to learn how they do it in Sicilia - just ask Andrea, he is so passionate about growing his extraordinarily sweet and delicious tomatoes, he will take you to his greenhouse, even to his neighbors one, just to show the differences :) But there was more: we got a bowl full of those delicious tomatoes on arrival, we got couple of eggs right from under the hen and Andrea even let us choose some seeds for our garden from his stash. But beware: there are two beasts out there, demanding food at all times you come out. And they are absolutely purrfect :) Grazie mile Andrea!

Tiziano was an excellent host, very helpful and responsive. The property was lovely, and right next to the sea and also to the shops in town. I had a really good stay here, thank you so much for everything!

The first thing we noticed was the kindness of Miriam and her husband. They welcomed us upon arrival. They gave us all the instructions and left us a bunch of delicious Pachino tomatoes in the kitchen, which were delicious. The modern, fresh house, decorated with excellent taste. With a very well-kept garden, with flowers and fruit trees. The surroundings of the house are not particularly attractive, but the villages that can be visited from there are really interesting, full of life and friendly people. I sincerely recommend this place as a gem in the region!

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. It is very nice, tastefully decorated, the terraces are great for morning and evening sun. The beds were very, very comfortable, including the pillows, but the sofa is only suitable for children who can sleep everywhere. Marina was always available, gave tips and promptly took care of the wifi. Opposite the apartment is directly a football field where the boys from the village play in the afternoon, our boys were directly integrated there. Portopalo beach is very narrow and small, but a few kilometers west is Isola delle Correnti beach, it is very nice. A really highly recommended restaurant is El Condor, also with children. In the low season, not all restaurants are open anymore, but it is enough and you can also cook in the apartment. Portopalo was not touristy, you get village life there, orange vendor in the street, a weekly market. Thanks Marina!
