Cottage vacation rentals in Pleasure Island

Our family loved this house and location - plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, tennis courts out back, friendly neighbors, easy access to restaurants and stores. Jim was responded quickly when we asked for help with supplies. The spring pollen factor was high - so be ready! We washed the decks and chairs and that improved things. We will return!

This was a very clean, comfortable and attractive place to stay. The location was very convenient to all the wonderful things Wilmington has to offer. The owners were very helpful with check in and provided a lovely place.

Nice little get away, seemed more suitable for 4 people but we made 5 work. Kitchen and the walkway between bathroom, laundry and bedrooms was tight but was easy to get used to. Good value and great access to the beach and short drive to town. A+, would stay again.

Bryan's place definitely felt like a little home away from home on the beach. It's a quaint cottage, packed with essentials and was just the right size for us two. I was very thankful for its size and no stairs when I unfortunately sprained my ankle on day 2 of our vacation and had to hobble around in crutches the rest of the time! Even though you're right off the main road, there was no noise and was pretty quiet and peaceful. Beach access is right down the road and very easily walkable, or hobbable. The hot tub was a great plus to relax in after a long night. Bryan was very communicative and prompt with questions we had prior to booking. Check-in was very easy and check-out instructions were very reasonable and clear. Overall a great stay that we would definitely book again!

This place was perfect and so cute! We had everything we needed and the kids loved the hot tub! Kristy was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

My family loves this beach house. We’ve visited twice and absolutely plan to come back. The kitchen has plenty of basic supplies so you don’t have to buy every single thing you need (salt, pepper, spices, oil). The location is perfect! The amenities are perfect! There are activities for kids and kids-at-heart to enjoy.

This was an absolutely perfect Topsail vacation home! We loved every minute of our stay. The location is absolutely fantastic. So close to the little local shops and restaurants as well as super close to the bridge going over to the mainland.. The house itself was spotless and quite comfortable. Had everything we needed to cook full meals. Plenty of kitchenware for our group of seven. Proximity to the beach is by far the most fantastic detail of this house! The little private sandy beach *yard* attached to the deck is awesome for kids and the beach itself just down a few steps is so amazing. We could even sit in bed and see the ocean waves! This is the best house with beach access and views we've stayed at in Topsail. Also positive to note, the entire property being fenced in felt incredibly safe for kids and was fantastic for our dog. We realized the apartment was a part of the rental unit and we were so pleasantly surprised! It was a great separate space! Overall highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at this house! It was in the perfect location — just a short walk to the beach, which made everything so easy. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We used the hot tub every day and it was such a relaxing way to wind down. The beds were really comfortable and everyone slept great. We spent our evenings watching movies together and cooking meals — the kitchen had plenty of dishes and tools to make that easy. We had to find this place last minute, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The host was so nice and responsive to any needs we had. It really made the experience stress-free. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great weekend. This is a wonderful home and dog-friendly. Our dog was at home and the location was perfect for us. Robert was extremely helpful and great to get to know. The next time we find ourselves heading to Oak Island, we will stay here. Thanks for everything! Ken

Great stay and location. We would love to do it again.

We had a wonderful stay over Spring Break. Just a short walk to the beautiful beach, which was never crowded. My husband and son fished off of the floating dock and caught a spot fish, several blue fish, and a flounder. We also were able to catch some crabs in the crab trap. We left the trap there for future visitors to enjoy. The weather was perfect. There are restaurants, ice cream, and a small market 2-3 minutes from the house or you can drive a little further to Surf City for more choices. Cheryl was responsive and proactive. We will definitely be back!

We loved our week at Blue Turtle Cottage! It’s bright, clean and charming. Just a short walk to the beach. Leslie and Kay were lovely hosts. We’d definitely come back if our plans bring us to OKI. The king bed is super comfy!. Thanks for hosting us! 💙🐢

We had a great stay! The house was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the decor was cute and we felt right at home. We would recommend this place to anyone!

When my family and I arrived we felt right at home! The home is very clean and as described. Our pups felt right at home as well, and a fenced in backyard where they could run, and play was a huge plus. Lisa absolutely thought of everything. I really appreciated the coffee and Nespresso machines that were provided. Anything you would need for the beach such as chairs wagon etc was provided as well. Lisa left guides to local restaurants and attractions. I loved that she left a camera for us to share pictures of our pups and a photo album to see all the pups that had stayed there previously. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely book with Lisa again!

The charming and cozy cottage was the perfect spot for our cousin’s weekend at the beach. All the restaurants and beach were just a couple of blocks away. Charles was super quick to respond to any questions and the check-in was seamless. Be sure to check out Nikki’s Sushi- super delicious. Also, Coharie Coastal Boutique is a wonderful shop. Highly recommend the cottage and area.

Great place and great host

This cottage was secluded yet walking distance from many delicious food options and unique local shops. Gretchen was an excellent host and supplied many amenities. Everything was clean and homey. I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has a 'beachy' feel to it and we felt relaxed and in beach mode the second we walked in. The path to the beach was right across the street from the house and the beach location is hard to beat....simply magnificent. Everything we needed from Publix to restaurants was just minutes away. Shannon and I highly recommend this home and we are sure to be back soon! Glenn

I stayed for a long weekend with my mother and six year old daughter and we all loved it. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We really appreciated how communicative the hosts were, going out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed staying here for the week of Thanksgiving with our family and dogs. We were close to family and conveniently located to restaurants and grocery stores. Letting the dogs out back to the fenced yard was a breeze. Thanks for a great stay!

It's a great place in a great location. The beach is very easy to get to—a quick walk. The east side of Oak Island has a more expansive beach than the west end (which they are now restoring). We were also able to walk to a few restaurants. We had a great yard for our little pup. This little cottage is very well equipped. We grilled out one night, and the grill fired up and had gas! We only had one car with us, but plenty of onsite parking exists. I think you can easily get three cars in the driveway. Overall, we had a great time.

I can’t recommend Nauti Pine enough. Amazing location, adorable decor, comfy beds, and the most kid friendly Airbnb we have ever stayed out. As a mom of a 2 and 4 year old who travels often it was a breath of fresh air to have all the kid essentials there and not have to worry about packing the usual necessities. They had it all. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an OIB get away.

This place was immaculate and well updated. Extremely comfortable and a beautiful walk looking at historic homes to downtown area. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Owner was very responsive and helpful.
