Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Penobscot River

Our family and I had a wonderful stay at Jackies, we are all originally from maine, and her home gives you everything great about maine. We really felt at home, it snowed christmas eve which made it even more beautiful ( The driveway was plowed out early as well). I brought a small christmas tree with us on our trip up, and when we walked in, the place was decorated for christmas, which was just amazing and so thoughtful. We definitly plan on staying again, the next time we are back in maine. Thank you again Jackie!

This place is a gem! Anthony was a wonderful, friendly host. The property was clean, modern, and spacious. Remote enough to feel like you've escaped, but close enough to necessary amenities (like groceries), and just under and hour drive to Acadia National Park! Wouldn't hesitate to consider rebooking for a trip in the future!

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

A group of us stayed at Camp Lamoine and were impreased with this property! It was close to Acadia National Park and other areas we decided to go. Spectacular yard and even had a place for a campfire! Comfortable inside and would stay again. Thanks!

We had the most amazing stay at this gorgeous property. The owners were super helpful and friendly and gave us lots of local recommendations. They gave us a welcome basket too which was a lovely touch. We would love to come back again one day.

This place was so quiet and peaceful. It was perfect for our family while we were visiting family for the Thanksgiving holiday. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Great location! Very quiet neighborhood and perfect little spot for visiting family in Ellsworth. Super convenient to all the local shops and restaurants. Within 30 mins to Acadia, so that’s a huge plus! I would definitely stay again!

This was a lovely place to stay for our visit to Maine to see the fall colors and Acadia for the first time. Beautiful secluded location, cheaper than staying in Bar Harbor but still easy access to both the national park and Bar Harbor. Comfortable and looked exactly liked the photos.

Beautiful and cozy place and very responsive and accommodating host. Place is 30 mins drive from bar harbor and Acadia . The river down the house is an additional beauty in its own. The place had everything you need. The care the host took for arranging everything is really appreciated.

This was the second time we have stayed here and we will go back again. Great location to town (walking distance).

Nancy greeted us warmly upon arrival, making us feel instantly welcome. Her place is in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking and offers thoughtful touches like muffins, coffee, tea, and bottled water. Prices are extremely reasonable. The space was exceptionally clean, spacious, and well-stocked with extra blankets, pillows, and bath linens. We will definitely stay at Nancy’s again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Pittsfield area.

John’s place was absolutely lovely! It was completely spotless and the apartment was beautiful, from decor to the high ceilings and open spaces. He was super helpful and descriptive and we easily found the location and got in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be rebooking when we are staying in the area again!

The cabin was beautiful and very clean. We had a regular wear and tear issue with one of the appliances but the issue was resolved quickly and the hosts went above and beyond to make the inconvenience right. Overall the stay was relaxing and well worth it. I would definitely return to this cabin.

The cabin was exactly as described. The cabin had everything we needed for our four night stay while we visited family in the area, very quaint and quiet. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their dogs. They gave us the heads up of possibly adding more cabins which interested us. We have a large family and would love to return to the Knotty Pine Trailside Cabin complex and rent out a few for the whole family. Great place to stay.

Absolutely beautiful. Kitchen had everything you need, outhouse even had floss picks and everything was so clean! Cabin was perfect and has heat and warmed up so fast. Super quiet outside, never felt unsafe and could see lots of stars. Amazing place and great deal for location and amenities.

Place was exactly as advertised. Cozy, quiet and comfortable. Close to Acadia National Park. Plenty of room for my wife and I along with our two dogs 1 coon hound 1 terrier mix. Would definitely stay there again if in the area and recommend to others.

Lovely location, and cozy little cabin, close to Damariscotta. My boyfriend and I took a weekend away and I told him I just wanted to be in the middle of the woods for a night. Enjoyed the hammock chairs and home cooked breakfast on the porch, despite the rain. Only regret was not meeting Sherri and/or Joel since I opted for self-check-in. Hope to return!
