We cannot say enough about this spot - we loved it so much! It felt like we were the only people on earth - so quiet and serene. The cabin is beautiful, and the kitchen is well equipped. Can’t wait to go back!

Wow, such an incredible stay, the place is in jaw droopingly beautiful area. the views are incredible. The home was very very neat, Sonja is super friendly and helpful. Just such a great stay... we will be back for sure.

Easy farm living - complete with mountain water, raw milk, pecan nuts, fresh herbs, starry braais, etc. The room is simple and cosy, like a cottage adjoining the main house. Else and Jaco are warm and generous hosts, and their dog and cat (Gemma and Meuw-Meuw) are also friendly but not intrusive. Quiet walk to the old horses, dam to swim in, and ask Else about archery or glamping in the orchard. Neighbouring farms have nice walks and good value shops for butter, cheese, olives, wine, etc.

Charming cozy House in the Middle of nowhere. If you have clear skies (unfortunately I hadn’t) you probably have a fantastic view on the Stars. Located only a 15 min drive from De Hoop Nature Reserve. Mattie even prepared super nice Dinner and Breakfast and was always responsive and had good tips (e.g taking a Ferry with the car) for shortcuts. I had a Suzuki Swift (Small car) and it was absolutely fine to take the never ending gravel road!
