The traditional, old Japanese house has everything you need and is a very nice place and good base for a visit to rabbit island. A very big bonus is the cafe/ restaurant on the ground floor in front of the house, where chef Shoji prepares delicious Japanese - Italian fusion dishes. Absolutely recommended! Also the reception by Kumiko was most friendly.

The owner very kindly explained the facilities in the house, the house is very large, the equipment is very complete and clean, and the equipment is also very considerate. I'd stay again if I come back here.

It's a charming,rustic and peaceful place. Amenities are all there, we were able to cook meals and we shared a friendly meal with Toshi (our host) and he even cooked something to share with us which was delicious. Bedroom is up some steep stairs to the second floor. Bed is comfortable enough once we got used to Japanese beds :-). There's a vege garden in front with some vegetables that we're welcomed to pick and eat. There's a supermarket not far down the hill from the place and a temple, armory and naval musem to visit. There's also some cafe and restaurant close to the museum along a narrow little street with good food. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to stay especially if you're cycling through. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, thoughtfully designed home by the seaside. The island is very peaceful and easy to bike around. A wonderful retreat away from city life! It was a pleasure to spend some time chatting with Yoshi-san, and he was always available to help me out when I had questions or requests.
