Monthly Rentals in Orphir

Lovely setting. Despite being on a busy main road we did not feel this disturbed our peace, slept well on comfy beds. Great for walking to Stones of Stenness and Ring of Brodgar. Also for Maeshowe. There are limited footpaths but walking on the road felt safe as all vehicles gave room to us. Bus services were good and on the whole on time - a day pass was good value Only problem was that we had not brought food (no vehicle ) so on arrival had hoped to eat at hotel nearby, unfortunately they did not serve food. Fortunately there was a very welcome welcome pack from Kayleigh which was much appreciated

we really enjoyed our stay. the house was very clean and comfortable. It's not far from the main town but is out in the country and very peaceful. The house is very central so everything is easily accessible. Plenty of great walks if that's what you want, but, if like us you just want peace and quiet, it's great for that too. The house is warm and cosy and should you want to cook, there is everything you might need.

Spent a wonderful week at Nigel's bothy. The view was spectacular and was a joy to wake up to every morning. The bothy was as described and felt homely and special. It was clean, dog friendly and equipped with lovely local art and a good selection of books. Perfect as a base to explore Orkney, not too far from anywhere, and also a good place just to relax and hang out. We would be happy to return.

Yarringa is in an outstanding location with fabulous views across to Stromness and the Sound of Hoy. Very spacious, flexible accommodation with large garden set to grass and pet friendly. Linda and Gary were fantastic hosts staying very nearby on their working farm and always available if necessary. There was a lovely treat of homemade brownies and Linda popped past during our stay to check everything was okay. I would be more than happy to recommend Yarringa to anyone.
