Vacation rentals in Orkney

This is one of those times you need way more stars. Amy and James are the most incredible hosts. Their sweet loft is IMMACULATE- like new! - and so beautifully equipped. We got in super late and the place was so cozy… and when we awoke? Wow. Not sure which view I love more - the field from the bedrooms or the bay from the living room. There were milks and teas as well. Amy was so communicative. I can’t express enough our gratitude for their generosity and the sheer perfection of the loft. Such a great location as well for nearby Kirkwall or a great walk down to Scapa Flow. Lots of great local tips shared as well. Oh, and the most excellent wifi! Comfy beds. Fantastic shower. A washer! 100 stars from us. Thanks, Amy and James!

Barbara's studio was as usual spotless and meticulously presented. The welcome basket full of goodies was much appreciated. The studio is perfectly located in a lovely area with sea views and is within easy walking distance from Kirkwall town. Overall a perfect a accommodation with a frendly and helpful host for a holiday on Orkney Thank you Barbara. Will see you again Rodney and Anne.

We enjoyed our stay at Nicola’s place. Lots of room and well set up. Having off street parking in Kirkwall is a winner. 5 or 10 minutes walk and you are in the town centre. Nicola was a great host. Very helpful and always quick to respond. Highly recommended!

Loved our stay at The Bothy. And seeing the chickens, ducks, cats & Tess the dog every day was a lovely bonus.

This was the nicest Air b and b we’ve ever stayed in. Amanda provided delicious local treats for us, everything was labeled and understandable. The kitchen supplies were plenty and high quality and the apartment was spotless. It’s on a charming street in Stromness. We absolutely loved it!

We loved our stay here. So central and the host is so friendly and helpful. It was perfect for us and we really enjoyed Kirkwall.

Denise and Stephen’s cottage is a real gem and we would definitely book again. Everything was squeaky clean, well appointed and comfortable. Denise gave lots of recommendations and just wish we had more time to investigate. Thank you both very much.

Lovely place which was ideal for exploring all the fabulous places near by. Stromness is lovely and has everything you need. Such a peaceful break and also great to walk in the footsteps of the Neolithic people. We would definitely come back - very lovely little house.
