Monthly Rentals in Old Heathfield

The Byre is in the heart of The Weald and is a perfect bolt hole for exploring the joys of East Sussex and Kent. There are so many places that you can reach within half an hour - beaches to historic gardens and castles, and in April/May the area is at it's most beautiful with bluebells everywhere. The little terrace adjoins a meadow and the view extends over the rolling hills. It has sun from first thing in the morning. I loved sharing my morning tea with the cows and calves who were munching away in the meadow . There are some good walks from the property into the bluebell woods. The Byre was clean and tidy with all the essentials and the bed was very comfortable. Although there is another holiday property adjoined, it has been cleverly fenced and I was not impacted by them at all. It is on a working farm and there are the usual noises one should expect but it was not overwhelming in anyway. Very peaceful in fact! Thank you Ella for letting me extend my stay, it was perfect.

A fantastic stay and much more spacious than I imagined. The photos absolutely don’t do justice to just how pristine and comfortable the space is. The wood burner was amazing and the bed was very comfy. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. Exceeded our expectations as we don’t think the pictures accurately portray it. It is large, light, airy, comfortable and immaculate. Wonderfully equipped kitchen which meant we could load every piece of crockery and cutlery straight into the dishwasher after use and still have more to use. Comfy beds and great linen too. One tiny hiccup with the WiFi because a fuse had tripped but Katy responded immediately and it was sorted within an hour. In truth we had little time to enjoy the cottage as we would have liked to as we were down for a family wedding which is a real shame. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay, it was very peaceful with the surrounding countryside. The tennis court was a huge bonus. Overall, a lovely getaway for a weekend.
