Very nice house in the center of Castelvecchio Calvisio. It offers a beautiful view, you feel at home. Very quiet place, great for walks and trips to visit the most famous places around (Santo Stefano di Sessanio, Rocca Calascio, etc.). Loredana is very kind and welcoming.

We spent a wonderful few days at the Refuge. The house is beautiful and thoughtfully built in a spectacular location. We felt right at home in this peaceful retreat - cooked meals in the well stocked kitchen, slept comfortably and enjoyed the outdoor space immensely, even in mid October. The house is in the spectacular Grand Sasso Park, with incredible hiking options and breathtaking views. The owners clearly take great pride in sharing their special retreat and we felt very fortunate to have spent time as a family there. Our only regret is not staying longer to explore more of this spectacular part of Abruzzo.

The place is not only clean and cozy, but fully equipped and rebuild with a love and care, that you can feel in every corner. The kitchen has everything you need to make yourself delicious local food, the living room is inviting and has a view on the serene landscape around Vicoli, olive trees, mountains and occasional visits by cats. The cottage is ideally located for guests who want to explore the abruzzese mountains, but the beach is under an hour away. In 5 minutes you can buy local ingredients freshly picked from the soil of the region and the people — the most friendly people I have encountered in a long time. Now let’s get to the best part: Francesca and Maurizio are among the best hosts we have ever encountered. Always just a message away for a good recommendation on how to spend the day, a good restaurant around the corner or just a friendly chat. Truly, this place is one of a kind.

Great place, exactly as described in the listing. Tom is very nice, handy and available. Perfect to have a few days where you can unplug from the rest of the world and relax, alone or in company. One of the best B&Bs I've ever been to. We'll see you soon.

What to say about Nadia's house... maybe the most suitable thing is a return to the past when as children you went to classic mountain houses with their smells and silences. Nadia's house is a 360-degree experience, because the house is warm and cozy, quiet and has a spectacular view, especially in the evening of the valley. The fireplace then makes it, just on, magical. Nadia incredibly anticipates your every possible need and helps you with its availability. But what we think made everything from 10 stars was also the incredible people we found. From the gentleman of the market, always nice and available in Loredana, of the "Rustica" butcher, whose husband took us to his house by giving us wood for the fireplace and the grill (of course he also offered me a glass of wine at home) and she who booked us the restaurant and whose meat is to be tried absolutely because it is special. In short, I highly recommend it and if we come back it will of course be here.

Our stay (with 2 very young children) in this beautiful cottage was a real relief. Located in an idyllic setting, the location exudes tranquility and nature. The house itself was brand clean and taken care of to the last detail. Lamberto's hospitality was top - from the moment of arrival to departure, we felt more than welcome. The house was also equipped with every comfort, even toys for the children were thought of. The village itself is very quiet, almost deserted, but precisely because of that you will experience an unprecedented silence and relaxation here. It is a great base for all kinds of beautiful excursions in the area. Finally, there is a charming, authentic restaurant in the village (Parkkeller). The food is delicious and the atmosphere cozy, perfect for a cozy dinner after a day of adventure.
