Joseph's Shepherds Hut Hadrians Wall

LenkaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We had a great stay. The pod was very cosy, comfy and had everything we needed. We loved the wood burner on colder evening. The host was friendly and always responded quickly to our questions. The area is stunning, walking distance from the train station, good local buses connections; directly to the Roman War Museum and other parts of the Hadrian Wall. Would definitely recommend.

Captains Retreat - A caravan with Estuary Views

LyndseyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

Pot-a-Doodle do Wigwam Village - W1

NoreenRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had such a lovely stay and it was such a fabulous find. Perfect for kids and/or adults alone. The kitchen and showers were very clean and roomy and the staff were super friendly. Our accommodation was clean and a perfect size and the added extra of the fire pit was a huge hit for toasted marshmallows. We couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely rebook for later in the summer.
The exterior features a charming stone building with a red-tiled roof and a white door, nestled amongst greenery. The surrounding area is paved and offers a neatly maintained appearance.

Orchard Hideaway, 4* Luxury Lodge, wood hot tub!

EllieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our 2yr old and 11 yr old. We all had a fantastic time and felt extremely relaxed. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and lots of little walks to explore from the cabin. On the first evening we arrived we were greeted kindly by Maggie's son who told us about the local area and made us feel at home. The wood burning hot tub was preheated and ready for us to get in (lots of wood provided )The view from the cabin was amazing and within 5 minutes we saw multiple hares and a deer. We then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub looking at the stars and saw a barn owl from the woods flying over us. The next day we enjoyed playing at the tennis courts provided, enjoyed a local walk to the river and the hosts son introduced us to their "teddy bear" lambs. The next morning we visited a local cafe and play area recommended by the Maggie which was fantastic. Best Airbnb stay we've ever stayed at!

Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

Peaceful and cosy Woodland lodge

StellaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a brilliant stay at Oak Lodge with really beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Our kids were delighted to see a deer in the field and watch it from the sofa. The lodge itself was very comfortable and the perfect setting to switch off. We very much enjoyed the hot tub! Sarah was a very helpful and proactive host, checking to make sure we had arrived and checked in ok, and arranging the hot tub very quickly. Sarah's recommendations on the listing were brilliant, really helpful for us to plan our week with kids and our dog. Overall, we all had a great week and would love to come back again. Thank you!

Seaview, Sandy Bay, Northumberland

FionaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Caravan was immaculate, really well equipped. Had everything we needed and more. Kitchen brill: utensils, dishwasher, washing machine. Plenty crockery/glasses for four of us. Dishwasher tabs and wash powder provided. Take own toiletries and towels. Easy enough to find (although I’m sure reception staff would have been helpful had we needed directions - they were very nice). Beds super comfortable. Master bed huge! My daughter spent most of time in the dressing room - great extra space. Ample storage. View GORGEOUS. Lovely just sitting on decking watching the sea. Park pretty quiet mid week too, which was nice. When we arrived on Thursday got parked no problem. Might have been harder over holidays/at weekend. Luckily we stayed in on the Saturday so didn’t lose our spot. Parking spaces just another caravan length away from front door, over grass (which was dry luckily), so anyone with mobility issue might need support. Watch the four steep steps into van. Handy for beach too! Thank you!

Another great stay in this lovely caravan. The views are breathtaking. The upgrades done since we last visited just added to an already great stay. The glass balcony meant we could see the beautiful view from inside and out. Visited Lindesfarne and Amble and climbed the rocks on the beach. Had a blast of a week. very comfortable, clean and homely. We'll be back and would highly recommend.

The Loovre Tiny House, as seen on TV!

The Loovre was a lovely stay for 2 nights for my partner and I. It is well placed, with a view of the River Tweed when you walk out of the property, but also next to the local high street. The property itself is unique but plenty of room for our short stay. Great amenities at the property for such a small place, everything is well packed in!

Deer's Leap, 1 bed Shepherd's Hut near Kelso

JanniceRating, 5 starstoday
The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Everything has its place and fits in neatly. The view from the patio is stunning. However, there is nowhere to unpack and this was fine for an overnight "en route" and because we could eat outside. There is a tiny table and two fold up chairs in case of inclement weather. Obviously it can accommodate two people but I think it would be lovely for one person. But we'd stay there again if passing though, as it is lovely and unique.
