Silver Fox Barn is delightful, very comfortable and with everything you need. The house is in a peaceful countryside oasis. Lots to do in the area; stunning coastline and scenery. Jonathan & Fran are great hosts, we can definitely recommend their house.

Stayed here for a quiet stag with some friends. It was perfect for what we were looking for- beds were comfortable and the place is bigger than it looks in the pictures, we comfortably fitted around the living room area with a couple beers. The 2 minute walk to the beach was great for a kick about & a swim. The barn next door is a great option for coffees & Ubers were readily available to get to the local pub as well. The hosts were great, on hand to help and friendly, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you had a group looking to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Richard's . The property has been finished to a very high standard and was extremely comfortable. Lovely village down the road with pubs ,shops and cafes. We used it as a base for walking Hadrians wall as well as cycling and visits to nearby places.

The whole process was amazing from start to finish. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and really quick to respond. We got the information we needed in good time. They left a personalised welcome note in the cottage and comprehensive clear information. The accommodation was stunning. Really clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, and well equipped with everything we needed. It was peaceful, the outdoors space is so lovely too. We had a great time exploring the local area and there is loads to do around and about. Would highly recommend, really family friendly and a great little getaway spot.

We spent a couple of nights at this lovely cottage and had a wonderful time. Our host was very friendly, the welcome pack was great, very generous and had such a personal touch with homemade cake, jam and scones. The cottage was very clean and tidy and perfectly equipped. We really couldn’t fault it. Definitely recommend it!

We went with our kids and dog and it was the perfect week away. The grounds are spectacular and private so the kids and dog can run around safely. The accommodation is ideal, comfortable with everything we needed. The location is perfect if you want to go to places on the east coast. Duns is a lovely village with friendly people. We enjoyed it so much, we’ve already booked to return!

Elizabeth was an amazing host! Her home is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views that took our breath away. There were so many thoughtful touches—like the scones, jam, and cream waiting for us on arrival—which made us feel instantly welcomed after our journey. Everything was comfortable, clean, and inviting. We had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return!

Absolutely fantastic stay for my daughter’s 10th birthday. The house is so spacious we absolutely loved it! Great for playing outdoors and dog walks The house had everything we needed and the cookies baked for arrival were delicious. Washing machine and tumble dryer also came in really handy! The bedding smelt fresh and the house was so cosy and clean! Absolutely 💯 reccomend

Photos and description don't do it justice. Accommodation is based in an amazing setting, you have to see it to truly appreciate it. Everything is finished to a great standard, feels naturally homely. Well equipped kitchen. Host's baking a couple of times during our stay was a lovely touch. Brilliant location for accessing everything in the north of the county. There's nothing to do within walking distance, but there's lots to do within a short drive.

Book this cottage for my 60th birthday . leading up to our stay was good, the accommodation was as described, very nice we had to turn the heating down, as to warm at night. Beds all very comfortable, only down side there were no mattress protector. Aprt from that all the family 6 adults 2 young children had plenty of room, to move about without getti g in each other way.

We stayed 2 nights and the place was lovely. Done out really tastefully and the beds were very comfortable. The setting was amazing. Adam was really good at communicating and we loved our stay. Thanks so much

A cosy place to stay with great facilities. Views of the farm and animals in the field were a highlight.

The barn was beautiful, and located in a very picturesque place. Very cosy and with all the creature comforts needed for our stay. A short distance to Hadrian’s wall, it was a great location for walking and running. The host was most accommodating.

Wonderful host and property. Children loved watching the sheep in the nearby fields, seeing the local horses and playing in the enclosed garden. Property was clean and homely. Had everything you need and more. Host provided lots of helpful information about the local area, and was responsive to any needs. Would highly recommend.

On arrival we were blown away by how wonderful the house was. The kitchen and living room were huge, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were large with great showers and a big bath. I was very envious of the garden, once again very big and well kept with a variety of seating areas and things for the children to do. The hot tub was very welcome. North Charlton is conveniently situated just off the A1 but very quiet. The Northumberland coast is easily accessible and the shops of Alnwick are a short drive away. Communication from Anna was always prompt and friendly. We appreciated the welcome pack. In short an excellent place for a family get together, can't wait to return.

This was a great place for a large group. We only had one child with us, but I would recommend for people with children as there is plenty to keep them occupied. It was very comfortable and homely and would be great in the summer but our winter break was excellent.

we have had a very busy time for a few weeks before and we're looking to relax and do things at our own pace. this was exactly what we were looking for. Although there was plenty more we could have done!

This was our second stay at The Old Granary, and we would definitely return again. The cottage has everything we need and is very comfortable and cosy. We love the beautiful, peaceful setting close to nature, with the added benefits of all the leisure activities on site.

Beautiful countryside around and nice walks from the cottage along public footpaths through fields and woods. Nice the owner has left a history of the farm to read up. Beds very comfortable and kitchen well stocked.

Windmill cottage is a lovely home from home. Everything that we needed for our stay was provided, including a welcome basket for us and our dog. The cottage is very roomy and our host, Claire, was very friendly and responsive. It’s location is great for accessing all of the Northumberland coastline and we enjoyed wonderful days out exploring the area. We would highly recommend Windmill Cottage and we hope to return. excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings . Just as described and just what we needed

Very comfortable and well maintained converted stone barn. Lots of space, comfortable beds and good showers. The gardens were lovely. The highlight was the remote location. Surrounded by free roaming sheep, the spring lambs were fun to watch from the garden.

The cottage was super bright and airy! We loved the location, it was super peaceful and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and we woke up rested and at ease every morning. The kitchen was full stocked and the bathroom was clean and the bath was wonderful! Emma was a great host and we had an amazing stay. We would stay again!
