Vacation rentals with lake access in Mount Vernon

This was a great stay for our family of four and having four additional family members over for game night. We've already booked the place again!

Amy’s place is just wonderful! She is a great host, and we felt so comfortable staying. The home was clean and quiet and had all the necessities to stay for a week. We will be back!

Courtney was an excellent host- she was always responsive and went out of her way to accommodate our special requests. She and her husband have put in a lot of effort in making this cabin a warm and welcoming home. Everything about this place is picture perfect- the lake view, the bonfire in the backyard, the kayaking and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this place and would highly recommend it.

My family traveled to Maine for our kids fall break and I was drawn to Sean’s listing because of the view, location and everything the rental included. It did not disappoint!! My kids had endless fun with all the toys, games and tvs. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay while they played. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d need. The bunk room even had a noise machine which was great! One less thing for us to pack. Communication with Sean was great, he made us feel very welcome and was there if we needed anything at all. Check in and out was easy peasy! We check out saying to ourselves that when we come back to Maine we will definitely stay here again! Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Ellen’s. We had a chance to canoe and kayak, swim, and take peaceful walks. The deck and the outdoor fire pit was great to sit around and enjoy the view. A lovely spot.

The view was amazing, Tj was great with communication. The sofa bed in the living room was comfortable. The twin loft was squeaky but I it fine it if your putting it kids in there, I had to move out..lol. Had everything I needed in the kitchen. The shower was nice and hot. Its a great spot. There was a cute little otter in the pond too.

Paul's place is in a great location. We loved the privacy and the beautiful area. We walked our dogs and even enjoyed the snow. It was great to be in the cleanest hot tub enjoying the snow fall. We cooked our Thansgiving dinner with all the amenities of Paul's kitchen and sat at the table enjoying the view. Beds were very comfortable.Paul is helpful and kind and quick to respond to any concerns or questions. I look forward to going back! Thank you for hosting us!

We really enjoyed staying here! Tim and Joanne were so kind, they recommended us climbing Mt. Hawk (just a 5min ride away and such a beautiful view!), borrowed us some winter equipment for Mount Washington and even placed delicious muffins in the apartment. It was very clean, well equipped and cozy. We just stayed one night but wished to stay longer and explore Waterford and the beautiful nature all around. Highly recommend!

The cabin is a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and roomy. The lake is beautiful and a great place for my grandsons to fish. If I am in the area again I would definitely stay there! Thank you Sarah

Absolutely loved the house ! Was perfect very homey. We used the kitchen for thanksgiving had everything we needed to make dinner. I would definitely recommend this place I most definitely will be coming back again. Hopefully soon

a rustic fishing camp on North Pond. Beautiful views of the water. Bathroom has been updated, nice shower with good water pressure. Arrived the middle of October, the propane heater was enough to keep us warm at night. Less than 25 minutes drive into Waterville. For those familiar and comfortable with the simple lake cabin life. We enjoyed it.

Sasha quickly responded to messages and her place is immaculate. Her price for staying at her place was more than fair; she definitely could have charged a lot more. I felt welcome and right at home immediately with a welcome card and snack basket waiting for us when we arrived. It was dark when we arrived since we had a 10-hour drive; the neighbor made sure to turn the porch lights on so we were not left fumbling in the dark. We were tired and did not see the house number that is clearly visible on the porch, Sasha’s neighbor came out to assure us we were at the right location, helped to retrieve the key, and showed us around the house. She left us her number in case we needed anything and then left us to our privacy. Sasha messaged to make sure everything was ok; I didn’t see this until we left since I’m horrible at checking messages. I recommend staying with Sasha if you’re looking for a peaceful and private getaway. I look forward to staying next time I visit my son. Thanks Sasha:)

Such a beautiful cottage on the lake. We felt right at home. The beautiful scenery was amazing and very peaceful! The location was perfect for our daily excursions to Cape Elizabeth, Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. We even made a full day of traveling to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We enjoyed coming back to the cottage to unwind and relax after a day of touring. I would stay here again and again!
