Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mount Vernon

This was a great stay for our family of four and having four additional family members over for game night. We've already booked the place again!

Deb’s place offers a unique, non-traditional escape nestled in the stunning mountains of Maine. With so much to explore nearby, it feels like stepping back in time, where meaningful interactions take center stage. As city dwellers, we found ourselves embracing the simple pleasures of life here, learning that happiness doesn’t require much. Our host, Deb, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. She’s truly a gem. We had a wonderful time with Cody and the other horse, adding to the charm of the experience. The property is breathtaking, more beautiful than pictures can capture. We’ll definitely be returning!

I so appreciated the artistic modern clean simple space for my personal retreat. I enjoyed the most comfortable bed with a view as well as the cozy warm space. I hope to be back again. The quaint town, Bath, had a great cafe and shops for another visit in the future. I was able to travel to Popham Beach, only a short scenic ride away.

This was a beautiful spot for a friends getaway weekend. Everything was cozy, and the beds were very comfortable. The views were stunning, and we loved the hot tub for relaxing. Thanks for sharing this space!

We’ve stayed at Kent’s property several times and it is always a wonderful respite from the hustle-bustle of life. Staying in such a beautiful home only minutes away from my son and family is an extra benefit to staying with Kent who also lives very close. There’s really no need for us to look into any other Airbnb. This has it all!

Excellent stay! My boyfriend and I went for a cozy anniversary weekend. The place was exactly as pictured, clean, comfy. The bed especially was EXCELLENT! I usually feel sort of uncomfortable in other peoples' beds (sheets, etc.), but this actually felt extremely comfortable and trustworthy. Very clean. I reached out to Michelle and Peter about the fireplaces and leaving our truck in the AM after checkout so we could take a walk. They were responsible immediately. Goats and chickens and dogs were adorable. Highly recommend for a couple or even an individual.

The location was peaceful but close enough to town and hiking trails. We liked having a garage to pull into and then allow our dog to go right upstairs. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to eat breakfast in. Although we didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Joy in person, she was easy to reach and responded to texts and emails quickly. Our stay was too short. Wish we could have stayed longer and spent more time in Damariscotta.

Chelsey and Andrew were superb hosts! Communication was timely. The property was conveniently located for our brief business in the Waterville, ME, area. Immaculate apartment, well-equipped kitchen, good TV access. And to experience it on a beautiful fall weekend was a bonus. My brother and I especially appreciated the little extra amenities provided. They are definitely on my list as my family considers future stays in Maine!

We had a great time at Michael’s place and he was even kind enough to let us use the fire place during the evenings. He even went above and beyond by sending out an extremely detailed instructions for check in and check out. Would recommend this place for those looking to get away from it all!!

Quiet, cozy and charming. Had everything I needed and was in walking distance of downtown, which was perfect. As I have relatives that live in the area, I would definitely stay again.

This a beautiful spot! Tucked away from the roads and very quiet. The private lake access is great and the views are beautiful. So thankful we found this place!

Warren and I were very pleased with our stay at The Lodge. Nancy communicated very well before and during our visit, and she went above and beyond in helpfulness once we arrived. She and her husband were extremely kind hosts. They were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Our accommodations were so pleasant, as well, and we felt right at home. And Nancy's blueberry muffins were scrumptious! We'll definitely make a return visit to Nancy's place whenever we visit Maine again.

Had a wonderful time with my husband for our first trip to Maine. Bob and Laura’s place was extremely well-kept and cozy. We felt right at home. Everything we needed was provided and then some. Very thankful we found this home.

It was off season when we stayed; lake and summer activities past, Autumn leaves have fallen, and temperatures are chilly, but just before things turn really cold. The Davis Camp was a serene, private haven at this time of year. Views of the lake were calming, the central heating was wonderful, the layout of the camp was wonderful, offering plenty of privacy in the bedrooms and nice central areas to convene. We saw Eagles, beaver, loons, ducks, deer, and more. Any concerns we had (and they were few; common in renting) were handled professionally, quickly, and with thoughtfulness.

Beautiful lake and cabin, and we came at the perfect time to enjoy the foliage. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us; we couldn’t be more grateful. The place was a real charm!

What’s not to love about Loon Lodge. The camp is beautiful and exactly as described. It has everything you need for a great stay. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!

Larry was a kind and attentive host. I really felt at home in the cabin within minutes. The cabin was a great place for reading or a campfire taking walks outside or just sitting. Skowhegan is close if you need anything, and the beautiful kennebec is not far. Great place to put your feet up and relax.

What a fantastic place to stay while passing through western Maine. I was just there one night, but it was lovely and I look forward to visiting again.

Myself and a fee friends rented this cabin for a night to have a “wrapping” party for the holidays. It was the perfect location and very cozy. Shawn was extremely responsive, let us check in early and when we got unexpected snow, offered a late check out to accommodate the conditions. I 100% will recommend this location too anyone looking for a cozy cabin for a night away.

Aranka is an excellent host! Colby’s Cabin is always serene and peaceful. We got to bbq due to the nice weather and kept warm and toasty with the wood stove. Everything in the cabin was in perfect working order including the new propane refrigerator. We look forward to coming back again next spring:)
