Vacation rentals with beach access in Mount Desert Island

Our stay at Pam’s place was absolutely fantastic! This is our second time staying at The Nest. The apartment was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and had everything I needed, especially in the kitchen. We typically cook at least two meals a day and we had everything necessary. Pam was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. She stocked the fridge with eggs, butter, milk and half & half in addition to having cookies and muffins waiting for us on arrival. The location was perfect for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia, but was far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. We especially appreciated the cozy living space, comfortable bed, and fireplace to toast our toes. We love the mini farm aspect of The Nest. Seeing the chickens, goats, mini horses, ducks, and dogs as we come and go is definitely something we looked forward too. It was wonderful to stay in this owner operated and occupied Airbnb! You could see the effort and care put into the space - it had art work and furnishings that made it feel like staying with family. There was so much more personality and care put into the space than corporate owned and run Airbnbs. I would much rather support people from the local community than some faceless corporation. They have a binder full of info on local restaurants and recreational activists and their recommendations were really helpful! The second bathroom on the first floor was useful so we could get ready more quickly in the mornings. Overall a wonderful stay and we would love to come back and stay here again!

Julie’s listing was a wonderful place for us to relax after a day at Acadia national park or Bar Harbor. It was spotless and had everything we needed.

Stephen was very responsive and friendly! The place was a perfect location for our family and very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The place was very clean and the heater was amazing. The view was beautiful and peaceful as well! I definitely recommend this place.

This place was perfect for me! Right in the center of town with easy access to all my favorite bar harbor shops and restaurants. Instructions were super clear on check in and I loved having the parking at balance rock inn. This is also the only Airbnb that I’ve stayed in that had an excess towels which was amazing after long days of hiking and multiple showers.

A lovely, clean, cozy option that’s convenient to LDI, Brooklin, etc. Nancy is a wonderful host, and the place is quiet and peaceful.

Perfect stay not too far from Bar Harbor and Acadia. Relaxing cabin, cool art and layout, with all the essentials and then some provided.

This was a perfect location, short walk to town. The bed was extremely comfortable. All of Anne’s suggestions for food and hikes were excellent. Anne was very responsive.

What an amazing place! Caroline’s home was perfect for our family vacation. It had everything we needed and more. It’s on the quiet side of the island and an easy drive to all the great attractions. This home is a great place to gather family and just be together. Thank you for sharing your space with us Caroline. 10/10 would recommend a stay here.

The mid-century modern home was beautiful. The curtains in the bedrooms kept the early morning sunlight at bay. The location was private. We could walk to Lamoine Beach. We visited as two adults and two kids; we all felt at home. This was by far the kid's favorite place to stay on our vacation in Maine. If you forgot your sunscreen or bug spray (both a must), the house was stocked up. The separate cottage is on the same property, and it was occupied. The visitors there were quiet and respectful, we hardly knew they where there.

Loved staying at the Treehouse! Anne was incredibly helpful ahead of our stay, sharing a number of great local recommendations for restaurants, activities, and hiking options. Very responsive leading up to and during our stay, which was great. The area is beautiful and location was great for us to travel all around Mount Desert Island. Definitely recommend walking down to the beach to watch the sun rise, maybe even a cold plunge! Thanks, Anne!

Cute house, convenient to hiking the carriage roads and walking to Seal Harbor beach. This house is on a quiet road, with little traffic. Inside looks just like the pictures. We walked to the Lighthouse restaurant and had a very good dinner. There is also a bike rental shop within walking distance that opened June 7. This shop also sells ice cream and coffee, which is fortunate, since the only coffee shop in town closed down. Only problem we had was that the landline phone did not work. As Anne's listing says, due to the lack of reception, you can't make calls from the house or anywhere in Seal Harbor. Emails and texts worked fined. I would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The location is very private and picturesque while still being close to everything that you need. We hiked 3 days in a Acadia and this Airbnb was lovely to relax and unwind at afterwards. The firepit by the beach was wonderful! Watching the sunset right behind the house was amazing! Short drive to bar harbor, short drive to Acadia. We found so much to fill our time with and the host gave excellent recommendations as well! Would definitely stay here again and hope to do so someday! Fully equipped kitchen, great dining room for “family meals”. Beds were comfy, plenty of towels and linens. Host was very responsive and got us what we needed extremely quickly when we ran out (paper towels and dish soap). Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.

Patrick's place was exactly as described. We'll appointed. It was in a private and serene location. Views of the ocean from the deck and windows facing the ocean were spectacular! Patrick was extremely responsive from booking through departure. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone not wanting the hustle and bustle of the Bar Harbor area. Utterly enjoyed our stay💖✨️

Great home in a great location. Very spacious and clean and Corey was very responsive. We had 0 problems with there being a restaurant down stairs. Beautiful views of the bay and a near by field where we watched little kittens playing with each other! It was adorable. We slept great and felt right at home!

We rented both the Toddy House and Rocky House for a week for our family of 12. The houses were as described and in pristine condition. We loved the fact that they were close together, so the late night group could stay up socializing, while the children could be put to bed without distraction. The Toddy House had a pool table which provided lots of late night entertainment. It also had a large open common area to accommodate our group, and we spent a lot of time on the screened porches. We really liked the access to the water with the dock, the canoes and kayaks, and the super cool fire ring. We are the type of family that asks a lot of questions, and Mark was quick to answer and take care of any questions or issues we had. We spent a great deal of time at Acadia, and while the drive was about 45 minutes to get there, it was not a problem at all. We would definitely return to 3Havens if we decided to take another vacation in this area. Mark and Laurie were excellent hosts.
