Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Mitterberg-Sankt Martin

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful house in the stunning Kalkalpen mountains. The area is super peaceful, with plenty of hikes and nature to enjoy, watch and listen to. The house itself was spotless clean and spacious. David was a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. A lovely bonus was getting to enjoy the delicious honey and other bee products from David’s own beehives. We would have happily stayed longer if we could!

Wow, what a great place to stay. We spent our wedding vacation with Christina and couldn't have imagined a nicer place to stay. The view of the mountains, the idyllic property and especially the house with its own sauna. Just a dream. And with Christina herself, we had a really friendly and positive contact throughout. We had a wonderful Christmas time in Scheffau and spent our 2024 celebration in this fantastic, idyllic cottage. Bernhard and his family were very friendly and even set up a lovingly decorated Christmas tree for us! On New Year's Eve, they provided us with a fire pit. The house was clean and well maintained, with authentic décor and stunning mountain views. The small stream next door provided a relaxing atmosphere. The ski and toboggan areas are just a stone's throw away, which our children enjoyed immensely! A highlight was the swimming pool with sauna area, only 15 minutes away, ideal for relaxing after a day in the snow. Bernhard also gave us many tips for excursions that enriched our stay. Overall it was a perfect family vacation and we highly recommend this vacation home! We look forward to our next visit!

We stayed in this home as a family for a week. It is a large, rustic house with many bedrooms and cozy flair thanks to the wood-burning stove. Well-equipped kitchen for cooking for many people. The living area has a small couch for 2-3 people, so as a large group you are more likely to linger at the dining table. For children, the farm is an absolute dream, as there is a lot to discover, an old barn with hay bales, cats, chickens and a former cowshed. There are many hiking trails in the area, and there is a forest right next door. Highly recommended accommodation for families with children seeking tranquility and relaxation.

So we were only there one night so my husband didn't have to drive so long but we were thrilled the kids and the dog loved the garden and we were all disappointed that we only had one night. So we liked it very much, small, cozy and nicely furnished.

Great spacious home. We had enough space with 6 people. Also the terrace and the fenced in garden are great! Location is perfect for hiking. Especially with children, there are many amazing opportunities for hikes and excursions! We had a great holiday and felt very comfortable! Thank you!!

Sabine’s place was comfortable and spacious. The beds were comfortable. It is ideally located with easy parking. Check in was easy with a lockbox which was nice for our late arrival.

As a family of 5 this was a great place to stay. Plenty of room for all of us! Conny was a great host - really quick responsiveness to messages. She was there to greet us as soon as we arrived, and showed us everything in the house. It was absolutely spotless! Our children loved the sandpit and slide, as well as the piano! It was a beautiful property and location, so peaceful. Our children particularly loved watching the family of sheep and lambs! The bus stop (to go into the centre of Salzburg) was a 10 minute walk and buses run regularly. We hired a car (after flying into Munich) and had lots to do from the doorstep with the use of a car. There is a supermarket just 3 minutes from the house too which is super convenient. We would definitely stay here again - no one really wanted to leave!

This is one of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at and Magdalena is one of the best host we’ve had. The house is beautiful and spotless! It was probably the first time we ever wanted to rush home so we can cook at our rental’s kitchen and eat in the patio. We loved the big nice grassy area in front. The bus and train station to the city were a few minutes walk away. Very safe neighborhood. Even though their house was right across the property, it still felt like a private paradise. Magdalena is a very responsive host. She provided our little one with a crib and high chair without us even needing to ask. She, her family, and her family and dog were very sweet. We enjoyed petting Ella (made missing our dog a little bearable) and seeing her sweet little girl play with our baby. We would definitely love to stay here again.

A perfect retreat for ski enthusiasts! The location on the mountain allowed for effortless access to the slopes. Rooms were excellently equipped, and the panoramic view of the snowy landscape was breathtaking. An unforgettable stay for anyone looking for the perfect mix of coziness and skiing fun. The ski ins and ski-out for the slopes could only be partially used due to bad weather. But that was not a problem as there is a ski bus that runs in the morning and evening. We'd love to come back! :)

We had a very enjoyable stay at Radu's. The apartment is incredibly cozy and very finely furnished. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a lot to discover. The car is safe and you don't have to worry about space.

We had a very nice and pleasant stay at the place. The place was nicely equipped and had a nice location with garden. The ski slopes of Flachau can be reached within 15 minutes by car. Since we came with two cars, we also had two front door keys + garage keys available. We will be happy to come back!

We had a nice stay in the apartment for the Formula 1 weekend. The apartment was super neat and the facilities were plenty.

We were a group of four at the alpine hut for a week and loved its location and amenities! Everything worked as described by Hansi & Elke, their compiled information about the hut and activities in the surrounding area were perfect, both were always immediately available for inquiries and extremely friendly. A special highlight was the south-facing terrace with its incredible panoramic views. The cottage was equipped with all the things you need and fully corresponded to the description and photos. We can only recommend the stay in the authentic and very cozy accommodation and wish Hansi & Elke all the best!

We had a fantastic stay at Daniela's and her family's place.... The cottage is located approx. 10-15 minutes' walk from the farm, but can also be reached by car, however snow chains are recommended in winter. We were traveling with our 3-year-old son who loved the stay. The cottage is lovingly decorated, everything is available for self-catering. The living room is heated with an oven, which gave us great pleasure. The area is worthwhile for excursions of all kinds, tobogganing, ice skating, etc. Good restaurants are also nearby (10-15 min. drive). The stables of the farm were freely accessible, there is fresh milk and very trusting cats. A special thank you goes to Grandpa Friedel, who also took great care of us. Finally, a hot bath under the clear starry sky was really great. We will be back :-)

Peter and his family are very nice and warm, I immediately felt comfortable. The cottage is as described, small, rustic, cozy, surrounded by nature and with fantastic views. I really enjoyed my stay here and can fully recommend the cottage as well as the host.

Ute is a great hostess, always there for us, quickly accessible and very warm. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. The place is very cozy and equipped with everything you need. The complex is very well maintained, the farm with the animals is a highlight. I'm sure we'll be back, see you soon Ute!

If you want absolute peace and a breathtaking view, this is the place to be! The hut is located at 1600 meters altitude, surrounded by fields, in the back you have a really great and captivating view of a mountain panorama. In the immediate vicinity is only Leonhardhütte. Managed all year round. But which was absolutely not disturbing due to a small hill between the properties, especially since only a few hikers got lost there during our visit. The cabin is comfortably furnished. A bit of “back to the roots” at a high level. Kitchen fully equipped. Due to the wood-fired kitchen stove, it got warm quite quickly and you always have warm water on the stove for rinsing, etc. Electricity and hot water are available via the Solar system with battery storage. We had a week of sun and always enough "power"! For us, the mattresses were too soft. Which led to a lack of sleep. We were there at the beginning of March 2025 and will come back!

It was a super nice vacation, thanks to a hiking book, which was designed by Birgit and Hans themselves, we had a lot of great excursions. We felt super comfortable... it was all the worse to have to go home again. We are already looking forward to next time! 🫶🏻

The cabin is incredibly cozy! It may seem a little bigger in the pictures, but it is so well equipped that we didn't miss anything. The highlight is clearly the fireplace, the oven and the hanging chair. Communication with Florian was perfect. All in all, I can recommend the cottage if you like a few days of rest 😊
