The cabin made us feel right at home as soon as we entered … clean, warm, comfortable, well appointed kitchen, bath and bed!! Fire pit was excellent. Cattail Creek with private studio, was excellent. Theresa the co-host went out of her way to maintain communication with me. At any point I wanted to give her updates or ask any questions she was only a phone call away. I felt super welcomed and safe. She stocked the house with all of your basic food needs. There was a surplus of kitchen supplies to make a home cooked meal. Parking at the well and hiking up to the cabin with my belongings was quite a challenge It's about 65 steps. Once up there I took full advantage of the Hottub. I recommend to any guests to bring their own hammock to enjoy swinging in the front porch and listening to the creek. I recommend wearing hiking shoes to go up to the cabin. I absolutely recommend getting to the cabin way before dark, and if unable bring your own headlamps and flashlights. Be hyper prepared if you've never been into isolated wilderness like that. I cannot recommend this place enough!! First off the privacy and the view was spectacular. We were greeted by the cutest dogs! We were able to rest and enjoy the fire pit while lying on the hammock. And the host took us around to see his goats, horses and dogs! It was so enjoyable! I will recommend it to anyone who needs to escape from the city life!

This place was absolutely amazing! The view was stunning, and the location couldn’t have been better—super close to Mars Hill. It felt very private and peaceful, which made it the perfect getaway. Even though it was small, it had everything we needed and was thoughtfully laid out. The space was spotless, with new and updated features throughout the house. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
