Vacation rentals with a kayak in Mid-Coast, Maine

We came here for a private getaway on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The price was a bit much, but for such a special time I felt it was worth it at the time I booked, and worth it it certainly was. beautiful, quiet, serene, it was perfect for a getaway. I would absolutely recommend, and I already have, this stay. 10/10

This place is truly one of a kind! We had access to everything we could have ever needed for a relaxing girls weekend. Easy drives to apple orchard, Acadia, and beautiful site seeing. Mike and Brenda were close by which was very comforting for us as we’d never been to the area and the home is quite secluded. Would absolutely come back and stay again for another amazing trip!

The home was very welcoming and accommodating for our family of 5. The views were spectacular at sunrise, sunset and during the snowstorm. Bald Eagles and hawks would land in the trees right in front of the house. Also, there was a skating pond down the street my family love to visit almost each evening. There was an alarm going off as soon as we arrived, Debbi was incredibly fast responding and sending someone to check it out clear it up. On the plus someone came and plowed the driveway after the snowstorm it was great. She left a basket of local food and my family ate it up. We are so thankful for our relaxing week and would love to return.

We had an awesome stay at this cozy, comfortable cottage—perfect for two families after a full day on the slopes. Every afternoon, we came back to the quiet and warmth of the cabin, made great meals in the super-cute kitchen, built a fire in the wood stove, and played board games around the big table. The kids loved the bunk room (especially having their own book lights!), and everything was easy to find and use. The shower was great, the space was inviting and there were many thoughtful touches such as plenty of hooks for hanging ski gear! We really appreciated how the family updated the cabin while keeping its historic charm. Such a great spot—would absolutely stay again! Thanks for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable!

What a place. So many great things to do. We swam and fished in the lake, the kayaks and canoes were so much fun and at night we sat by the fire pit and played table hockey.The house had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and answered all questions quickly.

What a beautiful place. Chris and Erica have done a great job. Everything we needed and more. There was a problem with the hot tub and they where able to fix the problem and had it hot and ready for us when we where ready to use it. Amazing weekend catching up with the ladies. We will definitely come again.

We had a wonderful time in Dedham and the Narrows Lake House was a great home base. The lake is absolutely beautiful, and the house is relatively close to Ellsworth and Bangor, as well as Acadia. Really nice place to wake up every morning (with the added plus of a very friendly dog named Miss Aspen who will definitely say hi!). The house is pretty far back on a long and narrow gravel road, so it's not particularly walkable and you'll want to have a car that's at least a little bit suited for it. Our rented minivan was just fine but an older vehicle or one with dim headlights might make it a little tricky. The floors are also quite thin and sound travels downward, so if you have kids or louder members of your group, you'll want to have them stay in the basement if possible. Finally, Colleen was a kind and attentive host! She reached out before the stay, which was very appreciated, and is delightful to talk to. You'll be very well taken care of if anything does happen.

The lakeside cabin was just what I needed. Quiet, private, and right on the water. My dog loved running in the yard and swimming in the lake. The cabin was comfortable with all the basics, and sitting on the porch watching the water was so relaxing. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Incredibly nice people. The owners are right next store and were working on installing a hot tub while we were there.Because of the small size, it was easy to climate control, which was very nice. Very peaceful, 7 minute drive to the grocery store and no more than a 20 minute drive from everything we did. We don't find ourselves in this part of Maine often, but my wife said we should stay here again if we ever need to be in the area, looking forward to enjoying the hot tub. As a bonus, there are two nice outdoor cats, and I bonded with Blizzard.

It was just great, wish we stay longer, and we will definitely be coming back, we hope to book for longer and I think we would like to come back in the summer months. Acadia was beautiful, we were able to use the canoe and go into the lake, set up a fire, and make s'more.

This cabin was very comfortable with great amenities (cooking ware, laundry). The beds and linens were very clean and quite comfortable. We were each given two fresh white towels. The cabin is on a dead end street surrounded by A-frames and little cabins, pretty close together, but no so much thst it felt crowded. Its licated across the street from a lake. There is lake access about 5 houses down - a few minutes walk - down the road. We stayed in May and it was very quiet at night. Mostly, we saw no one, (being somewhat pre-season). But we met one neighbor on a walk who was very friendly and took a moment to say hello and pet put dogs. The local grounds were clean.

What a beautiful location! David is a great host. He made sure we had good directions, tips for the area, and was quick to answer any questions. The lakeside cabin has absolutely everything you need to have a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The view of the lake is spectacular. The cabin is very clean, has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and Echo lake is a gorgeous pristine lake. Every morning, we enjoyed our coffee on the dock. We swam, kayaked, canoed and even tried out the paddle boards that came with the house. We would love to come back! Thanks!

Tiny but beautiful cottage with walls of windows in the living room and bedroom overlooking the salt marsh. It was like staying on a boat! Great kitchen, comfortable bed and cozy fireplace. Beautiful in the winter.

Loons Rest was the perfect get away spot for our 40th anniversary. We were lucky to enjoy the swimming dock in mid September as the daytime temperatures were in the upper 70's to low 80's. The lake was pristine and was warm enough for swimming still. We enjoyed watching and hearing the loons as well as the eagles and kingfishers. We loved the outdoor fire pit when the evenings turned cool as well as the indoor fireplace which is a work of art! Also the was plenty of well seasoned firewood. Everything about this place is very well thought out. If they don't have it you don't need it! The kitchen was well equipped and we were happy to find that there was everything we needed to prepare pizzas to cook on our solo stove pizza oven that we had brought along! John is a great host and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend Loons Rest to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and relaxing spot to vacation.

Wonderful,private, well equipped cottage on pretty pond. Owners quick to respond to our texts. Relaxing hot tub and fantastic sauna! Many restaurants and breweries within a 30 minute drive. Book it ..... you won't wanna leave!

My friends and I had a great time relaxing at this beautiful place. Aqeel and Michelle were extremely responsive and helpful when necessary. We would stay again!

After getting things clean we enjoyed 28 days was not good weather went back to take care of our mothers things was good to have this place to come relax in would rent again even tho it wasn’t cleaned they tried to make things right loved the cabin

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

We had a great late October stay for our honeymoon. The cabin was definitely warm enough for the 30 degree temperatures. Hot tub was amazing, that was clean as well. The outdoor kitchen was very convenient, even when it rains the kitchen is still covered. We had an amazing stay, will be visiting again!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this charming camp on Webb Lake, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The serene setting was perfect for enjoying the outdoors together. We spent our time fishing on the beautiful lake, where we caught a handful of fish. Kayaking was a highlight as well; the combination of being on the lake, mountain views and beautiful weather was simply magical. The camp itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing a wonderful weekend getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway filled with outdoor fall activities, this is the place to be. Very cozy cabin, easy for multiple people to stay in. Great atmosphere with inside and outside speakers, a beautiful river, and a great fire pit location. Highly recommend staying here.
