Waterfront vacation rentals in Malcantone

My wife and I stayed in Nertilia's apartment, which corresponded to what was listed on the site. Very clean apartment with attention to the smallest details. Hosts available and gave us directions and tips on Lake Como. We had a great time, we recommend it.

The aparment is exactly as described and as all the other reviews have said. Lovely space, great location. It does get quite noisey over the weekend though, with the sounds and music from all the restaurants and bars down at the lake drifting up. One night the very loud music went on until just after midnight. A small unpleasantness - but still, to be aware of.

I honestly don’t think I could recommend this place more if I could. From the amazing communication with Emi, the extremely clean and well looked after property to the VIEWS… it was just perfect! I cannot express how incredible the views are from this property, we kept saying it just doesn’t look real, this is certainly the place to go! Emi was also so helpful and lovely, she was able to get all our reservations even though I left it so last minute, she was also at hand when we needed help or guidance, she just made the whole experience so smooth it really made our experience that much better. I thank you so much for a trip of a lifetime!

Absolutely stunning view from the balcony. Almost too nice, you may not want to leave the house. We went to local bakery’s and would eat our breakfast on the balcony. Beautiful for people watching and a spectacular view of Como.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The host was incredibly kind, attentive, and always made sure we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond by offering great local recommendations that really enhanced our trip. The place itself was spotless, well-maintained, and had a stunning view that we enjoyed every day. It was the perfect combination of comfort and hospitality. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting the area!

Lucy is so warm and friendly and took all things into account. The apartment is even more amazing than the photos, absolutely adorable, very clean and comfortable. The location is also excellent. A warm recommendation to stay at Lucy's apartment.

After a long day of traveling Judith met us at the apartment. She was absolutely one of the most welcoming hosts I have ever met. She gave us the full tour of the apartment and showed us how to use everything. She had a beautiful plate of strawberries and cookies waiting for us. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well appointed for anything you could possibly want or need. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in while away from home. Judith had 4 different ways to make coffee including a little espresso machine. She made us dinner reservations and sent recommendations on where to go and what to see. We all loved her! The sunsets from the balcony were stunning. The little town of Ispra was so lovely to walk around and peacefully after days spent exploring crowded areas. Ispra feels like “real” Italy.

We were allowed to experience five wonderful days in the fantastic villa directly on Lake Maggiore. The villa is located below the street, so the noise from the cars can only be heard weakly (the way down with some stairs was no problem for us). We rented the apartment Limone on the 2nd floor: the apartment is very nicely decorated with a lot of taste and we found everything clean and very well prepared. The view of Lake Maggiore is fantastic! The communication and support by Sabine and Albert was very pleasant, our inquiries were answered quickly and kindly and competently. Cannero Riviera is a beautiful place that can be reached quickly on foot. We hope to spend days there again and highly recommend this place!

Amazing place with breathtaking views! This is by far the best place I’ve ever stayed. The house is beautiful, the surroundings are stunning, and the music selection was great. Monica was incredibly kind and always attentive to anything we needed — she helped my family and me so much. I would definitely love to come back! 5/5

We had a wonderful week at Carmen's house. The location in Spurano/Ossuccio was perfect because it was quiet yet within easy walking distance of local bars and restaurants. The Greenway provides good walks around the area, including accees to the chapels of the Sacri Monte. The sports bar in Ossuccio was great value for money and we also ate at the lido in Sala Comacina. From there you can also get the boat to the Isola (very peaceful - we had the whole island to ourselves) and you can find Amalia Ostinelli's grocery store for all your essentials. The kitchen diner is superbly equipped and stays cool even on the hotest days. The bed is really comfortable and the whole house is beautifully presented... old and quirky but with all the modern comforts you would expect. On top of that you're literally a few steps from Lake Como. We loved the spa, especially the jacuzzi. All in all we loved it. We were sad to leave and could have happily stayed another week. We hope to return one day.

Michele’s Airbnb is truly exceptional! The photos are beautiful, but the apartment is even more stunning in person. We loved the peaceful setting away from the crowds—it was the perfect place to relax and take in the breathtaking views. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed and was especially well-suited for my dad, who uses a wheelchair. We felt so comfortable and at home. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Como. It was hard to say goodbye!

We had a wonderful stay at Deborahs beautiful home. The view of Lake Como and the Alps is outstanding ! More gorgeous than the pictures can convey. Deborahs home is clean and neat. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Deborah was very responsive, helpful and kind. I would love to return to Lake Como and would not hesitate to stay at Deborahs lovely home again !

Luisella and Fermo were PERFECT hosts! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guilia House. The house is so charming - it felt like such a privilege to stay there and experience the history and beauty of the home and village of Fiumelatte. We especially loved the garden area that Luisella is cultivating - the views in the evening are spectacular! The walk to Varenna is an easy one with amazing views of the lake, mountains, and villages along the shore. This rental is not for everyone, however. Folks with mobility issues or toddlers should be aware that the rooms are all on different floors and connected by a cement staircase in the center of the home. If this is not a concern, then you will be treated to an authentic 'old world' Italian experience. We adored Luisella and Fermo - what a kind and generous couple! We are SO grateful for their hospitality. They welcomed us as if we were family and we will cherish them as if they are ours.

The apartment was beautiful, comfortable and spacious! It was in an excellent location on the waterfront, close to cafes and restaurants and right by the bus stop for easy transport. The host was very helpful, easy to communicate with and accomodating. Thank for our stay! 😊

Amazing to stay in such a grand building right by lake

Gian greeted me and my wife at the train station and walked us to the apartment. Gian spent time explaining the local area, where to go, where to eat etc. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, the view from the apartment and surrounding area is breathtaking. The walk to the ferry port is less than 100m and was never as busy as the other ports. We would absolutely recommend staying here and will be back sometime!

We absolutely recommend the accommodation offered by Andrea. It's a beautiful apartment, even more beautiful in real life, great location, right on the edge of Lake Maggiore, we are a 15-minute walk from the pier to go to Stresa and the Borromean Islands. A real gem. Andrea is very responsive and charming, he responds almost immediately, they welcomed us in person and gave us plenty of advice. Unbeatable experience!

Host were absolutely fantastic and friendly. The house was pristine, well organized, and spacious. Beds were comfy, and the house was overall gorgeous. Could not get over the views from the balcony and the restaurants and bars recommended by the host that we tried were tasty and refreshing. Would stay here again without a doubt.

Andrea was very responsive all the time. Andrea’s place is beautiful. Very modern and clean and had everything my wife and I needed including an iron, washing machine, and a cool sound system. The kitchen was fully functional as well. The views from the balcony and bedroom are amazing. Just as shown in the pictures. Andrea had many suggestions of things to do and places where to eat that were quite helpful. Our stay was very enjoyable. This place is truly a gem in Lago di Como.

Very nice location, very comfortable accommodation too (even nicer than in the pictures). We will come back without hesitation if the opportunity allows!
