Vacation rentals with lake access in Lorain County

I want to say our stay was awful...just so no one else will rent it and I can come back whenever I want but nothing could be farther from the truth! Aloha House is an exceptional home. As soon as we walked in, we were struck by all the natural light streaming in crystal clear windows and the peaceful views of the lake. The home was sparkling clean, beds were comfy with soft bed linens, and the towels were fluffy and all looked to be brand new. The attention to detail in this home was amazing! Not one single spider web inside or on the windows which is pretty impressive at the lake! And then there are the outdoor spaces. The landscaping was impeccable and beautiful. Thanks Debbie and Steve for this oasis by the lake! I hope to make your place an annual week end get a way!

We are 5-star Airbnb hosts ourselves and have very high standards and Cathy's Chippewahoo met or exceeded them all. Where do I start? First of all, spotlessly clean. Second, Cathy has thought of EVERYTHING anyone might need - I especially appreciated the Kleenex in nearly every room - it's amazing how many Airbnbs do not supply ANY Kleenex! Fully stocked kitchen and also bathroom. Comfy beds and lots of extra bedding. Since it's winter, we didn't get to take advantage of the lake but I did see that Cathy has supplied coolers, towels and everything one might need for a day at the beach. The decor is charming, the furniture is ever-so-comfy and high quality. We need to return in summer so we can take advantage of the cute porch/deck and fire pit. It was so quiet and peaceful there, even though in a neighborhood with close neighbors. Truly a 5-star experience.

Wonderful location for our book retreat - comfortable and plenty of sitting room across the entire house with a beautiful view of the lake. Loved having a bathroom on every floor and the fact that it was spacious enough that everyone had their own bed and space to lounge. Will definitely come back again!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and cozy. We appreciated that the house was stocked with many common forgotten items and had all the comforts of home. It is very close to the lake and the town of Vermillion which is so charming. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to the area.

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint little cottage. The view of Lake Erie was spectacular! The house had plenty of room for our family including our furry family members. We hope to come visit again.

Of course! Here’s your revised review incorporating that detail: We booked this Airbnb for a Galentine’s game night and sleepover, and it was absolutely perfect! The home is beautifully designed with a well-thought-out layout, making it both spacious and inviting. Every detail has been carefully curated to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The space was immaculately clean, and the beds were incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep for everyone in our group. The kitchen and sitting area were standout features—modern, well-equipped, and perfect for gathering, playing games, and enjoying quality time together. The only downside was the icy driveway upon arrival. My husband actually spent about an hour breaking up ice before the ladies arrived, and putting down salt to ensure we didn’t fall. While we appreciate the host mentioning the weather and the possibility of ice, it would have been helpful if the driveway was cleared.

What a perfect home for us to rent for a couple days. It was clean, well-furnished and decorated, a quiet neighborhood, and located less than a couple blocks to Lake Erie. The home was furnished with anything you would ever need! I would give it a 10! :)

The place was as described. The view was amazing, the rooms all had cute themes. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the couches and chairs were also great for long-term sitting. The kitchen was well-stocked and housewares were perfect for all our needs. The dining room table seated 7 of us comfortably and we loved the fancy Samsung appliances. 

Overall, the house was clean; there were no major problems with any rooms. The beds were made and bathrooms well-stocked. The place was fairly neat. However, there were a few things that were amiss when we first checked in. Two of these were fairly innocent mistakes (trash in the sink & hair product in the shower). However, the third was a cleaning miss we did not catch until later in the day, in the downstairs area. It was an intimate item that prompted us to reach out to the hosts. We wanted them to know about the cleanliness problem, but never received any response back. The host could have acknowledged this, if only for future guests.

What was originally a "had to find a place for the night close to where we had to be" kind of situation turned into a very enjoyable stay, great place, great communication, good beds, lots of space and great surroundings even though it was very cold that day. Outside: inside was just right :) We even got to see a young eagle perched right outside our windows, thanks to Di who texted us to have a look! Very enjoyable stay, thanks a lot!

This was our second stay here and we loved it just as much as the first time. We especially appreciated the cleanliness, the beautiful view, and our welcome from Abby!

Peaceful and spacious and beautiful. Nicely provisioned. Easy check in, close to everything, but has a nice private view of woods from the windows

Clean space. Modernized. I like the vibe and open floor plan. It was a decently sized space, so we didn't feel crowded. The rooms are all pretty big. Parking is convenient. I really never heard the neighbors at all except a couple times I could hear their footsteps when I was in the bathroom. So it wasn't an issue for us, and it was never at night. Couch is on the small side but it's super comfy. It was a hot weekend, and the A/Cs had trouble keeping up, so we couldn't get it lower than mid-high 70s until the third day when it cooled down a bit outside. Loved the open shower. Bathroom was very nice. Bed was clean and comfy. Not much by the way of clothing storage (no dressers), but the bedroom was a good size and there was a luggage rack and hangers in the closet. Overall, it was a good stay, and I would definitely book this place again if in the area.

House was exactly what was expected, very clean, and Nicole was extremely friendly aswell as a great host!

Stayed at Sharon’s place while visiting our student at Oberlin. Very convenient location. House had everything we needed to a peaceful weekend. House was clean, well equipped, functional smart TV and good wifi. Recommend this house!

Such a lovely little cottage overlooking the lake & harbor. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
