Our stay at Maria’s charming historical villa on the stunning island of Favignana was pure bliss. From the moment she picked us up at the harbor, we felt her warm and kind-hearted nature. Despite my Italian not being perfect, we understood each other effortlessly and felt a deep, mutual connection. We spent our days on the beautiful terrace, enjoying swims in the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of our secluded cala. The villa’s location is perfect for exploring the island by bike, e-bike, or motorbike. We chose regular bikes, embracing the “dolce far niente” vibe as we leisurely explored every corner of the island’s beauty. Despite Maria describing the villa as small, it felt like a luxurious paradise with everything we needed and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax, recharge, and discover Favignana’s charm. We’ll definitely be back if we’re lucky enough to find this magical villa available again. Rocco's place was fantastic for us. First, when we arrived he took us on quite a wonderful tour around the island and got us set up with everything we needed — including a quick stop at the supermarket! He was so generous with his time, knowledge and care. We've never had a host take such great care of us upon arrival. He helped us secure electric bikes — which made our trip spectacular. The home is beautiful and perfect for what we wanted -- the ability to walk into town each day and easily get to every part of the island and visit every beach. Overall, a fantastic stay.

I left today and I'm almost thinking of going back😊. Paola was very kind, welcoming and helpful. That house has a touch of magic... just steps from the sea and the lighthouse. It's been a wonderful day! A special thank you also to Giuseppe. What can I say...run to the Faro house, you won't regret it.

Everything from the posting is accurate. What we learned though, is how amazing to sleep with the windows open and hear the sea waves lapping at night were so soothing. Favignana, is a small town, with all the expected Italian families, laughter, and kindness. At this location, a scooter rental is around the corner with great prices, $25/day! You can go out and tour the whole island, casually and without the fear of traffic. Apartment was awesome, with plenty of room, clean, and all the touches of a home away from home. Short walk to many restaurants, many still operated by families. There were a couple of stores within walking distance, as well as a couple of “Piazzas”, where the locals gather in the morning before going to work. The upper balcony was all that was promised, with quiet, shade if needed, chairs, and a view to keep you mesmerized, watching the locals, sailboats, ferries and sounds of the sea. When we return to Favignana, we would stay here again. Thank you!
