“This was an amazing experience! This cabin gave you the feel of historic living while maintaining the more necessary/comfort amenities of modern life ( electricity or having to use an outhouse). That said, this is a historic cabin and does lack some of the less necessary comforts of a modern place. The bathroom has no door, just curtains (which really wasn't a turn off for us as it gave it a historic feeling experience). The cabin is drafty but there is a nice wood burning stove that will keep the place warm enough if you know how to use it and there is a heated mattress pad and warm, down or down alternative duvet to keep you warm throughout the night. As our dog doesn't sleep with us through the night, we did have to wake up occasionally to put another few logs on the fire in the middle of the night so she wouldn't be cold, but really it wasn't much inconvenience and added to the historic experience we were going for. I'm only saying this as it might not be the experience for everyone but we really appreciated all of it. I kept having to pinch myself at how cool the experience was. The wifi didn't have the greatest connection but really, are you there to look at your phone or your tablet? It was sufficient for posting some photos of our experience on Facebook or sending pictures via text message. Stephanie was there to greet us when we arrived and was removing her cleaning supplies which gave us a good indication the place was clean. Honestly, it looked clean as well. She was also great with responding via text when we had questions. There was Roku and subscriptions to a few services on the TV for entertaining ourselves at night when we got tired of the game we brought. There were pamphlets and books on what to do in the area. Our dog really appreciated the enclosed yard around the cabin. It was quite large and fun for her to explore. Thank you again Stephanie for a great stay!!!”

“This place is beyond incredible! It was so perfect for a getaway for my husband’s birthday! The scenery is beautiful. The little cabin has everything you need. While there isn’t a full kitchen, there’s a microwave, toaster, electric kettle, refrigerator, electric griddle, and propane grill. We explored the area a bit and saw numerous deer, rabbits, and a red fox. The sunset here is beautiful. I highly recommend this place for a night away! David and Renee communicated all the details and were very fast to respond. Thank you for a great stay!”
