The space
The Topanga Cottage is a peaceful two-bedroom, one-bathroom retreat tucked into the heart of Topanga Canyon. With queen beds, cotton sheets, and natural textures throughout, the space blends boho, modern, and vintage elements for a cozy, curated stay.

The full kitchen includes a fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, Keurig, and drip coffee maker—perfect for slow mornings or casual meals. A light-filled living and dining area invites you to relax in comfort, surrounded by natural materials and a calming palette.

Outdoors, unwind in the large side yard with a hammock and seating area, or head to the backyard to stretch on the yoga deck or soak in the vintage clawfoot tub under the sky. On clear days, you’ll catch stunning views of the canyon stretching toward the Pacific—Catalina Island and floating boats visible on especially magical mornings.

Originally built in the 1940s, this duplex-style home shares one wall but feels like a private escape. You may occasionally hear light sounds from the main house or nearby neighbors—normal for canyon living and part of the area’s charm. Pet-friendly and offering two dedicated parking spaces, The Topanga Cottage is just minutes from Malibu, Santa Monica, and scenic hiking trails—perfectly placed for rest, romance, and renewal.

While the cottage shares one wall with the main home (duplex-style), your space is fully separate, with a private entrance and complete privacy during your stay.

⚠️ Road Access Update
Topanga Canyon Blvd (Route 27) to Malibu is open daily, but please note it is closed from midnight to 5:30 AM due to ongoing road work and wildfire repairs. Plan your travel accordingly.

🌿 Nature Note
As the cottage is located in the canyon, you may occasionally encounter elements of the natural environment such as insects (especially during warmer months/heatwaves). We maintain the space with great care and regular servicing, but this is part of the charm of mountain living.
