The ViewPoint Country Cabin is like Glam-Camping at its finest! But much better!! We have STARLINK satellite w/ fast internet service and comfortable accommodations!
The ViewPoint country cabin is fully insulated and has a large propane heater for winter & air-conditioning & ceiling fan for summer. It is equipped with indoor kitchenette that has running water to the sink, 1 Bedroom loft w/ Queen bed, night stands with lamps and charging stations, a desk with chair, mirror & lights. There is an indoor shower room with hot water, a dining area and living room with large sofa and a chair that folds into a bed (extra sheets are provided on the shelf.
The stairs to the loft/bedroom are ‘steep’ like on a cruise-ship 60 degrees, and not ADA compliant. However, they are very sturdy (400 lbs capacity) and there are two railings and a handicap-handle at top of stairs.
The indoor shower room is equipped with a propane heated hot shower (which can get too hot in the summer, so let it fun for a few mins to cool down). There is an outdoor private bathroom house as well that has motion lights both outside and inside so flashlights are not needed at night.
There is a Large sofa that can also sleep a small to medium size person. The cabin can Sleep up to 4 people (squished), 2-3 comfortably.
Living Room is equipped with a ROKU TV which is also hooked up to a digital antennae. The Kitchen has a sink with running water and there is a butane burner stove top, electric drip coffee maker, refrigerator and freezer.
Please do NOT bring your own appliances as it will pop the breaker! This is an “off-the-grid” cabin and has a limited electricity capacity.
The Pantry is stocked with plates, cups, mugs, cooking utensils, pots, pans, silverware and continental breakfast food as well as mac-n-cheese and baked beans.
There is also a Propane radiant heater available for cold weather or when needed.
The Tap water is unlimited and there is a hose on the side of the cabin to refill containers as needed. The tap water is from the well. Two gallons of purified water is complimentary (1 gal on shelf & one under the sink). If more purified water is needed it is $2/Gal. Weber Bar-B-Q uses propane canisters. 1 canister is complimentary, additional canisters are $7/ea. The Coleman stove top burner in kitchen uses a butane canister. 1 canister is complimentary, additional canisters are $4/ea.
Pets allowed with additional $50 pet fee. Cats allowed but must be declawed or have claw covers. Litter box not provided. Guests must clean up after pets and no pets allowed on furniture, or to run around property without a leash. There are cats, bunnies, quail and deer etc. on the property that we do not want disturbed. Pet owners are responsible for any damages or extraordinary cleaning.
* Be prepared to drive 4 miles on a gravel road before you reach the cabin. It can be a little bumpy on parts of the road so do not drive over 25 MPH.
* No hunting on property and no animal carcasses allowed on property other than stored fish for cooking.
* NO SMOKING INSIDE CABIN. Outside smoking with an ash tray ok. Please No hot ashes on ground.
* Due to being in an extreme Wildfire Zone, No Bon Fires if it’s windy & weather is in “Extreme Zone” on sign. (See posted sign).

*14 Miles to Downtown Elko City and the famous STAR Bar.

*27 Miles to famous Jiggs Bar in Jiggs.

Guest access
Be prepared to drive 4 miles on a gravel road before you reach the ViewPoint cabin.
Guests have their own private driveway and parking area. The parking area is a bit steep so park as close to the stairs or wherever is best for your vehicle. There is room for a trailer and an extra vehicle (three vehicles max). If arriving late there are solar outdoor lights around the deck and stairs to cabin and motion lights above the front door.
Other things to note
STARLINK INTERNET SERVICE:
Connect to STARLINK. There is no password.
Service works throughout the cabin but is stronger near the windows and outside.
PHONE CHARGING:
There is an outlet behind the trashcan next to the refrigerator.
There are charging stations built into the night stands upstairs.
There is an outlet on the upstairs desk that the TV is plugged into.
LIGHTS:
Outdoor lights:
There are solar lights around the deck, and along the path to the gym. They come on at dusk.
There are motion lights inside and outside the outdoor bathroom house. They stay on for 30 seconds and will turn back on again with added motion.
Indoor Lights:
There is a remote lighted ceiling fan. The remote is mounted on the wall next to the front door.
There are lights in the bathroom and next to the sofa above the window.
Upstairs there is a strip light above the ROKU TV.
Upstairs there are lamps on the night stands.
ROKU TVs:
*There is a ROKU TV downstairs. The remote is on the coffee table. This TV is also connected to a digital antenna that will get many local channels. To connect to internet go to select network and choose STARLINK.
**To connect to “digital antenna” click to home icon button on remote. Then scroll to the RIGHT and select “Live TV” [do not scroll down to Live TV (its confusing), that is different ‘live tv’ and takes you to internet Live TV NOT antenna “Live TV.”
*There is a ROKU TV upstairs on the desk/table. The remote is on the desk. To connect to the internet go to select network and choose STARLINK. This TV is not connected to the digital antenna.
AIR MATTRESSES:
There are two air mattresses located under the bed upstairs along with a battery operated air pump. Extra sheets and blankets are located on the top pantry shelf downstairs next to the refrigerator.
PROPANE BAR-B-Q & BUTANE STOVE TOP
There is a propane canister for the Bar-B-Q under the kitchen sink. When finished using the Bar-B-Q, please detach the canister or it will leak until empty.
1 canister is complimentary, additional Propane Canisters are $7/ea.
There is also an additional complimentary Butane canister under the sink for the stove top (one is inside the stove top). Again, please unlock to detach butane connection when finished cooking.
Additional Butane canisters are $4/ea.
WATER
Tap water is unlimited and there is a hose on the side of the cabin to refill containers as needed. The tap water is from the well.
Purified water is complimentary (4 gallons). If more purified water is needed it is $2/Gal.
COFFEE TABLE TURNS INTO TV TRAY TABLE:
Pull up on indent handle on side of coffee table and then pull up and out.
GAMES
Games are located inside the coffee table.
