The space
Otters Rest is a very high specification lodge, in undoubtedly one of the very best locations on the Park, with fantastic views of the Green located right by Dane Fjord. No 92 Dane Park.
Upon entering the lodge main entrance there is comfortable bench with storage boxed for hats and gloves and shoe, and hooks for coats. There is also a Laundry utility space with washer dryer.
Hallway leads to -
A bright, airy and spacious interior, a modern open plan style living space, with large ceiling to floor windows and french doors leading to the front terrace.
The kitchen has all the modern appliances you would expect, all integral, oven with grill and microwave, 5 ring gas hob, large fridge and separate freezer, full-size dishwasher, wine cooler fridge and plenty of storage.
A pleasant dining area with table, chairs and seating bench. The lounge has a large 'L' shaped corner sofa providing comfortable relaxing seating. A large flat screen HD TV with Netflix access and APP streaming, or a wide selection of DVDs to watch or board games to play.
Double UPVC French doors lead to a large PVC decked sunny wrap around larger than average sized decking with glass balastrade panels from the front decking. Fantastic views of the green and the Dane Stream, whilst feeling very private with surrounding greenery.
There is a range of quality rattan seating to the front with comfortable cushions and a huge wrap around decking siding to the stream. A large round dining table for Al fresco dining the perfect location for a glass of wine in the evening or morning breakfast and coffee. There is also a large outdoor corner rattan suite to the side.
At the front Lodge there is also a range of comfortable rattan furniture.
From the hallway leads to three good size bedrooms
Bedroom 1 - King Size Bed, wall mounted flat screen TV, with a range storage drawers, dressing table area. Walk through to your ensuite bathroom compromising large shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin and beautiful bathroom furniture.
Bedroom 2- Twin Room with two full size 3ft single beds, storage wardrobe with flat screen wall mounted TV.
Bedroom 3- STUNNING Childrens built in bunk beds with two full size 3ft single beds with fascinating port hole windows , flat screen TV, window seating and and lots of Childrens toys. (beds only suitable for children)
Separate Bathroom- Compromising spacious shower of panelled bathroom, toilet and wash basin- further door leading to the outside shower and terrace decking .
There is also an outside storage cupboard which houses the outdoor cushions parasol.
EV chargers are NOT located at the lodge but are located all around the park .
As you can see from the photos the views are amazing and children will love the close proximity to The Dane Stream and the nature that can often be seen, Herons, Ducks and range of wild birds. The green is also a safe place to play however we ask that children are supervised at ALL TIMES.
There are two parking spaces at the lodge.

Shorefield Country Park is a family-run holiday park on the south coast near the New Forest. The on-site facilities include (please note hot tub jacuzzi, gym, sauna are located at the amenities site not at the lodge) outdoor pool is open from May 27th until end August
Please note SPA weekend- please see final photos on our listing although there is no SPA at Shorefield you can pre book yourself at one of these local SPA cabins for a treatment (Fee will apply to guest)

You can also enjoy the facilities offered at Shorefield’s sister park, Oakdene, which is approximately 8 miles away, including their brand new adventure - The Escape Room - can you escape in time?
There’s lot of things to see and do in the area, with the beautiful New Forest National Park on your doorstep. Here you’ll find wild ponies, cows, donkeys, deer and occasionally pigs. It is a beautiful area to explore during any season, either on foot, by bike (can be hired at Burley) or on horseback at the local riding stables.
Milford is fantastic village with a small supermarket, superb bakery, chemist, bakery and an array of superb eateries for all ages, including Indian, Thai and Italian restaurants, plus an award-winning fish restaurant. There’s also a couple of bars and good local pubs.
Kayaking and watersports can be arranged from the village.
PETS- Unfortunately Otters rest is a pet free zone.
Smoking is also Prohibited.

As lodge owners we cannot control what goes into the water into this stream upriver, and we cannot be held responsible for the water safety.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the lodge. There may be a couple storage areas locked designated to the owners use.
