The space
Welcome to The Mountain Eyrie, where you’ll enjoy the fresh mountain air and the sound of the nearby waterfall. Multiple covered and uncovered outdoor spaces let you take it all in. Built directly into the slope, our home features a unique daylight design. You have your own dedicated driveway that leads straight to a completely private, ground-level entrance. Because of the natural slope, the entire 1,100 sq. ft. guest suite is filled with natural light, opening up directly to your own outdoor garden seating areas. Inside is a dedicated private yoga studio space.
What’s inside:
Main room: comfy seating, TV, fireplace, gear storage for skis and snowboards, books, board games, art supplies, and a table that doubles as a workspace.
Four interior steps with a handrail lead up to the kitchenette/laundry room, bathroom, bedroom, and yoga studio.
Kitchenette: set up for real cooking, not just reheating. Induction cooktop, electric skillet, rice cooker, crockpot, pantry basics, and spices included good for stays of any length. Click each photo in the kitchenette section for a complete list of available spices and cookware.

Bathroom: stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Bedroom: queen bed, closet, and storage space.

Some things to note:
No pets or pet guests.
100% smoke-free property. No smoking or vaping inside or anywhere on the grounds. 420 vaping outside is totally fine.
All cleaning products and guest toiletries are fragrance-free and hypoallergenic.
Shoes off throughout, please. Bring slippers or comfy socks.
I live upstairs from the guest suite, so you may occasionally hear footsteps or plumbing overhead. I’m also right there if you need anything.
You’ll likely meet Kevin, the neighborhood peacock. He sleeps on the upper deck nightly and is a fixture here, gentle and harmless but appreciates quiet. He’s a wild animal, so please don’t feed or pet him. Find a feather, keep it as a souvenir.
Clubhouse, pool, walking trails, basketball hoops, and pickleball courts are a short walk away at a separate location.

COMING BETWEEN NOVEMBER AND APRIL? READ THIS FIRST.
The driveway is steep and becomes hazardous when frozen. If snow or ice is forecast, unload passengers and luggage at the bottom, then move your vehicle back to the street until the storm passes. Full winter parking instructions are in your arrival guide.
Other things to note
Connectivity & Tech
High-Speed Internet: We provide Astound 1.5 Gig (1,500 Mbps) fiber internet, which is excellent for high-definition Zoom calls, FaceTime, and streaming.
Cellular Service & Wi-Fi Calling: Due to the mountainous terrain and heavy tree cover, cellular “dead zones” are common in Rhododendron.
Inside the House: We use signal boosters, but we strongly recommend enabling Wi-Fi Calling on your device before arrival for consistent service.
Carrier Reliability: Verizon typically offers the best local coverage (4G/5G), followed by T-Mobile. AT&T coverage is generally slower in this specific area.
Quiet & Community Standards
This home is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood with full-time residents. To respect our neighbors and comply with the Clackamas County Noise Ordinance (Chapter 6.05), we observe the following:
Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
Climate & Temperature Control:Central AC: The central air conditioning system is automated from the main upper unit of the house and is not physically accessible from the downstairs unit. It safely maintains a continuous, comfortable temperature between 68°F and 70°F.
Air Circulation Fan: You may notice the HVAC fan turning on automatically throughout the day without running the AC. This is part of our standard cleanliness protocol to keep the air well-circulated and fresh in the downstairs space.
Cooling Adjustments: If 68°F–70°F feels too cool for your liking, you can easily restrict the airflow by manually adjusting or closing the floor vents located in the bedroom, yoga room, and bathroom.
Heating & Extra Warmth: For total control over your warmth, you can use the dedicated thermostat located right on the living room propane fireplace. A portable oil-filled radiator heater is also provided; it is stored in the yoga room but can be freely moved to the bedroom, hallway, kitchenette, or bathroom.
Dehumidifier Care: To maintain a crisp environment, a dehumidifier is located in the bedroom. For stays longer than a few days, please check the water container periodically. If it fills up, simply slide out the container, dump the water down the sink, and replace it.
As an on-site manager living right on the property, I’m able to personally look after your peace, quiet and comfort throughout your stay.
Please reach out with any needs or requests.
