"La Casita" is a quaint mini hacienda with a comfortable big family room. Great place for a relaxed get-away.
The palm trees, bugambilias and cactus plants will transport you. Perfect place to relax and enjoy family and friends.
There is only one bedroom. However, there are 3 comfy couches and 2 air-mattress available.
Coffee Lover's Needs: Expresso Maker, Cold Brew Maker and French Press, a Keurig and a drip coffee machine!
Kitchen: equipped with basics including a brita-water pitcher.
The space
La Casita is in Desert Hot Springs (close, but NOT Palm Springs). Palm Springs is 10-15 miles away, depending to what part of town you are going.
Foosball table, Poker Table top & Board games available for entertainment.
Grill in the backyard - available for you to use. Parties and events are not allowed.
There are ring cameras and lights on the outside of the house.
La Casita is perfect for two people. Its good for 4 if you do not mind the air-mattress. Kids usually think its fun! The air mattress are easy to pump- and there is space to put them in the family room. Only saying this to give you a realistic expectation.
La casita can accommodate 6 if you really do not mind sharing one bathroom with a lot of people and if some of you do not mind sleeping in a couch or inflatable mattress. However, please know 6 is not the ideal. I only allow 6 to be flexible.
At La Casita you can feel at home while traveling for work!

Sturdy wood hangers, Iron and Ironing board can be found inside the bedroom armoire.
Toiletries included: Shampoo and Conditioner for showers, hand-soap, Roll of toilet paper and extra one underneath the sink to help guests out until they have time to make it to the store to buy whatever supplies they like/want/need to use during their stay.
SUPER IMPORTANT: La Casita NOW HAS an in-ground salt-water pool and a simple hot tub. Its private and we have a privacy fence all-around!
The pool has a cascade of water from 9am to 5pm that flows from the hot-tub to the pool. Keep in mind the entire pool is not heated. Pool has nightlights for late night fun swims. SUPER IMPORTANT: Keep the small gate (between pool and house ) close and also the main gate that goes to the outside. No need to lock it, but it is important to keep it close. Please reference the pool & hot-tub rules in the house and also in this listing. Because this is a residence and not a hotel/resort and too keep the nightly price lower than others, the hot-tub is not on all day... All you need to do is let us know 1 to 3 hours before the time you are getting ready to go into the hot-tub - for us to remotely turn it on for you. Do NOT touch any of the pool equipment. We will take care of things for you. Keep in mind it takes about 1 hour to heat-up (sometimes less, depending on the weather - but only here mentioning to give you a realistic picture), and it will stay on for 2 hours for your enjoyment. We can turn it on for you two times per day.... when you are ready to go in for your 15 min hot tub session (mentioning here for safety reasons to emphasize that long periods in the hot-tub is not healthy). Please note the pool/hot-tub is for the registered guests use only and no parties are allowed without prior approval.
Note: to keep the nightly price lower than others, we opted to limit the hot-tub to 4 hours per day. However, If you wish to use the hot-tub longer we can accommodate for an extra fee: $50 for every 2 hours.

The pool equipment is all pre-programmed. To avoid equipment damaged, guests are not permitted to touch any valves, buttons or switches related to the pool/hot-tub. The pool is maintained twice per week by a 3rd party company to keep it in the best condition and clean for our guests.
The experience is lovely! And I know you will for certain enjoy it.

IMPORTANT: The location is Desert Hot Springs and NOT Palm Springs. The location is not suitable for not having a car. Its NOT in the middle of bars, restaurants and the hustle and bustle of things. (Again I only say this to give you a realistic expectation).
The pace of life in this little town of Desert Hot Springs is slow. THERE IS NOTHING MUCH TO DO in this little town. This is not the kind of place a person goes to explore the town. La Casita is a place of relaxation to be enjoyed for all that it has to offer within the compound of the property. (Only saying this to give a realistic expectation).
Please keep in mind this is a private home, not a hotel. Bring your supplies (we provide enough to get you started upon arrival and for a couple of days). We try our best to provide you with the best stay. But, please do keep in mind that this is a home. Events and Parties are not allowed.
We aim to please and will respond to messages within normal hours (aka not overnight) within an hour.
There is a house manual with information you will find helpful during your stay. Manual includes emergency numbers.
Note: ice trays in the freezer and Brita pitcher for your filtered water available for your use.
Important: Temperature outside during summer can be as high as 117 degrees F. It’s important to keep doors and shades close for a/c units to keep house comfortable. Going in-n-out the front door and closing the door behind its very important.
PETS: we love pets and welcome small dogs. Medium-large dogs may be pre-approve for an additional fee. It’s the owners responsibility to clean after pets to avoid additional charges. Pets not allowed in the furniture. Pets not allowed in the pool. Any damages or extra cleaning may be charged.
Guest access
Access to the entire house. There is a small tiny backyard area for cooking-out.
The property has a security gate all around. There are no airports close. The house has very thick walls.
La Casita is an oasis that provides the setting to relax, enjoy family and company. Desert Hot Springs is centrally located between Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs. You can reach both of these places with a vehicle.
Please know your main attraction at La Casita IS La Casita.
Other things to note
Home has easy check-in procedure with Ring-video doorbell and doorknob with code.
No loud music after 10pm- on the outside areas.
No drugs.
No smoking inside the house.
Furniture can only be moved by the host. Do NOT take furniture from the inside of the house to the outside.
Trash should be placed in the bins and the host will take care of the rest.
Front door must be locked upon departure from the space; please use the keyless lock and key code provided.
La Casita is conveniently only 15 miles away from Palm Springs’ upscale restaurants. However, it’s not in Palm Springs. Please note the location is NOT Palm Springs.
Grocery store is 1.5 miles away (less than a 5 min drive).
Neighbors on both sides of La Casita have dogs. However there are no dogs in the property.
The house is checked before your arrival to insure all is perfect and good.
Often times due to the high winds there may be debri, sand, leaves or flowers that fly into the pool. This is not because it is dirty. It’s the results of the high winds of Desert Hot Springs. We have an extra net in the garage you can use to remove what doesn't belong in the pool. The filter/pump runs every day from 9am to 5pm. And the pool man comes to clean the pool (including vacum) twice per week. We take pride in cleanliness. :)
Please remember this is a home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise let me know right away via the Airbnb app and we will do our best to take action ASAP. The hot tub is a simple hot tub (none adjustable jets), that is remotely turned on for you upon requests via this app. Please keep in min it takes 40-60 min to reach temp (depending on the weather). Ounce it reaches temp it will stay on for you for 2 hours. Please do not touch any of the pool equipment.
No pets are allowed in the pool. Filters clog with dog hair… please obey this rule to avoid an extra charge.
While it is possible to heat-up the pool, it is only heated upon guests request for an additional $100 fee per day. Please keep in mind it takes several hours to heat up.
