Vacation rentals with breakfast in Koggala Lake

Staying at Raj's villa was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! The views are unbelievable, and the villa is steps away from a beautiful golden sand beach that feels private. Although the beach wasn't swimmable, we enjoyed the dipping our feet in and taking golden-hour photos. The whole villa was squeaky clean and sanitized upon our arrival. What really made us feel right at home was the staff! They are very attentive, kind, helpful, and excellent chefs. We enjoyed a variety of tasty Sri Lankan meals cooked fresh every time. We were a group of 17 guests and we all felt so grateful to all the staff that went above and beyond to ensure that we were all comfortable. Hats off to the whole team at the villa, we will definitely stay here once we make our next trip to Sri Lanka!

What a gem of a place and Till is a lovely host! Easy to connect with and always helpful with recommendations. There are so many thoughtful, artistic, beautiful and useful touches throughout the house. It has a unique vibe and is very well done from bedrooms to bathrooms to outdoor living spaces. AC/fans in all rooms keep you cool. Also the best lounging sofa ever.... Breakfast every morning was icing on an already wonderful cake. Mahesh is a master in the kitchen and we were so impressed with the magic he would create for our family from scratch each morning.. He even gave me a cooking lesson one morning so I could recreate his hummus. We had falafel wraps with garlic aioli and many other creations throughout the week. No need to go anywhere for breakfast, we had the best chef in our home. I did a few yoga and exercise classes at The Well (a short walk away) which was also a highlight of my time in Ahangama. Couldn't recommend the place enough...thanks for a great stay!

If you’re looking for a tasteful, tranquil and thoughtfully designed place to stay - look no further. My whole family adored this villa. We especially enjoyed looking out to the rice paddies at peacocks and all kind of animals. It’s the kind of place where you don’t feel like you need to rush or even leave at all! The staff are so lovely and prepared a delicious breakfast every morning and kept the place so tidy. The furnishing is so fun and tasteful and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches like electrical sockets that didn’t require adaptors. The kitchen is also fully equipped so great if you feel like cooking a few meals. It feels more like a holiday home in a jungle rather than your standard Airbnb. Highly recommend! Will be a tough act to follow as we head down the coast.

Staying at August Beach House was a total dream! Michelle was responsive and helpful from the outset. We were late to arrive but Micheleewas so accomodating and Sooriya was always on hand to help us, answer questions or fix anything around the house. Neeta and Tara were the most gorgeous ladies- they made delicious breakfasts every morning and were both so lovely with the kids and made us feel so at home. Neeta is an amazing cook and was incredibly generous in sharing her recipes for the delicious breakfasts and curries she made us one night. Location wise the house could not be better. Right on the beach and next to the surf schools we could easily go from pool to beach and felt very lucky at the centre of all the fun. The local restaurants were fantastic- varied and friendly. The beds are super comfy and large, the kitchen well appointed and a great place for games and the sitting room has a wonderful view and loads of comfy seating. I cannot recommend August Beach House enough!

We had a very pleasant stay in R&N Yellow house . We loved the quite village of Dodanduwa with small little beach and beatiful view around. Only 3 km to Hikkaduwa. Nimal and his wife are very nice, friendly and helpful people who cook very tasty sri lankian food, Nimal can help with everything, provides interesting sightseeings and speaks very good English. If someone looks for a house for holidays where you can live very close to Sri Lankien life this is the perfect place.

A beautiful villa with very nice details. We enjoyed our stay there. It was very clean with a lot of space and it had everything we needed during our stay. The surroundings are amazing. Location is quiet but a bit away from the beach. However, it is still walkable or you can go with tuk tuk. Staff was kind. We had a nice time here and we highly recommend it.

Good place to stay in Galle. The host is very accommodative.

Malli's guesthouse is a jewelry hidden in a residential neightbordhood. The perfect option to rest and very well located to move everywhere you want to go. You can rich koggala beach by walking ;) He and his family offer the most delicious Sri Lanka traditional food. If you need transport they also offer Tuk Tuk and bike with convenient price.

Wow, what an amazing stay! The suite was stunning—spacious, spotless, and perfect for our big family. The pool was sparkling clean, and the balcony views of the ocean were breathtaking. Having a private beach and surfing school nearby was such a bonus! Manoj, the host, was super helpful and always available, making everything easy for us. The quieter side of Weligama beach was lovely, but it’s just a quick ride to Mirissa or the main area if you want more action. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed family getaway!

So, you’re obviously looking for accommodation in south-west Sri Lanka – well don’t look any further than Sailor’s Bay. From the minute you enter this paradise, you will be welcomed and charmed by Dilan and his family. The environment is gorgeous – any stress totally disappears. Nothing is too much trouble. They are engaging, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is a second to remember. Our family (13 – 3 generations – ages 2 – 74) was continually astounded by their willingness to do the best by us . It was a sad time when we left, but happy in the knowledge that we will return. So, take my word for it – Sailor’s Bay will not disappoint even the most pedantic traveler.

Very friendly host and family! Check-in was flexible, the place was clean and the breakfast was delicious. You can walk to the beach in 5 to 10 minutes. By bus you can quickly get to town or other beaches.

We had a wonderful time at Surf Lodge! The location is perfect, the onsite cafe has really delicious food and drinks, and the apartment was exactly what we hoped for! Chethana is a fantastic host, too! Really friendly, proactive and attentive to his guests. Will absolutely stay here again.

Had a lovely five nights at The Native. Checkin was easy and Diana kindly arranged an airport transport for us in the early hours of the morning. The breakfast was amazing and definitely the highlight of our stay - a good mix of western and local breakfasts. The Native has all the amenities you could need, shower pressure was a bit low but the room was really nice and spacious with good AC and Fan.

It’s hard to describe just how amazing this place is, what a gem! The house and grounds are a haven of tranquility. The furnishings are just like my fantasy house, so many beautiful antiques and artifacts. Gorgeous dinnerware and beautiful table linens. The breakfasts were delicious, with eggs from their hens and freshly prepared curd from the cows. Even the muesli was homemade! Staying here made it hard to go out and explore as we really didn’t want to leave the place! The pool looks very natural and has a wonderful setting overlooking the jungle at the back of the house. We saw monkeys passing through every day. Guy was a fabulous and very attentive host, looking after our every need. Mary cooked us a delicious evening meal one evening after a game of boules in the gravel drive. Sitting in the veranda with a glass or two of wine was a great way to start the evening. I really can’t fault this place, so much to say!! It’s certainly the nicest place I’ve ever stayed in Sri Lanka!

the bed was very comfortable. it was a nice quiet location. it has a private balcony where you can watch the waves hitting the rocks. the included breakfast was complete. Sri Lankan food but the curry and dahl were not too spicy.

wonderful stay, amazingly beautiful arrangement. especially loved the cabaña with jungle in the bathroom. felt a bit of lack of privacy cause stuff coming to clean pool somewhat randomly, without taking in consideration that people might be sleeping or would prefer to have some privacy. the menu is overpriced so are the transportation options (almost double of what one gets on pickme or uber). would be great to have some alternative to the sri lankan breakfast as well.

my boyfriend and i spent three days at Bandus wonderful jungle house. Even next to several Shops and Restaurants you couldnt hear anything and the whole area was nice and quiet.Sometimes we were sitting on our balcony, only for counting the animals whose come by here and there. Distance to the beach was also not very far. Our breakfast was very tasty and Bandu and his wife are awesome and always open for a chat. all in all we had an amazing time and would definetely come back some day!

Beautiful place by the beach. In season, you can walk on the beach. Due to rainy season, sea was rough. Windy weather. Nearby A2 restaurant was good with friendly owner. Tuktuk available till late nights. Nearby attractions/hotels are accessible by Tuktuk. Room and amenities were as described. AC room was good, clean and spacious. Srilankan Breakfast was homemade and tasty. Nearest city place is Galle. Sanoj and his brother were helpful and responsive. Thanks for hosting us. It was pleasant stay. 💐

Silva was a lovely host

We loved our stay at Jungle Loft. Immersed in nature and so peaceful & relaxing. There are only four rooms and each has been designed so you have complete privacy which is amazing. The enormous bath, outdoor shower and hanging chair were particular highlights of our room. The breakfasts were delicious and we also chose to have dinner one night which was of the highest quality. A huge thank you to Indika and the team - this was perfect way to finish our two week trip across Sri Lanka.
