Family-friendly vacation rentals in Koggala Lake

We spent 5 days with 3 kids in the house. It's an amazing nature experience to live in this house. It's even more beautiful in real life with views of Lake Kogala. There are really many beautiful birds in the garden and every day we saw a big bunch of monkeys coming by. The house is bordered by cinnamon plantations and beautiful lush nature. Kumaro is an amazingly helpful man who helped us with all kinds of things while we were staying in the house. The house was a good fit for a family of five. There are many good beaches near the house (you take a tuk tuk there). We also went whale watching from the house, so there are plenty of options. We would definitely recommend this house to others who would like to stay close to nature in a quiet area.

I loved my stay in every way! The location was so beautiful nestled between the flowing river and 5 minutes walk to the beach. Soft bed, cool AC and a great bathtub/jacuzzi.

The Villa is stunning, even more beautiful than the pictures! The outlook from poolside was beautiful, we watched the monkeys playing in the trees while enjoying a lovely breakfast and throughout the day were visited by peacocks, iguanas and many different birdlife. What made this holiday an amazing experience was the excellent services of Chadima. Chadima is highly intuitive of what level of attention you prefer and always highly respectful of privacy and would always check before coming in the kitchen. Chadima prepared breakfast every day, asking for our preferences the night before. We also enjoyed some dinners and a lunch prepared by Chadima which were all excellent. Chadima is super proud of using the highest quality ingredients and would be at the fish markets in the early hours of the morning to get the catch of the day if fish was our choice for dinner. We also enjoyed a great fun cookery lesson with Chadima. Excellent & professional hospitality service - highly recommend.

3 bedrooms with private toilet, suit for group of travelers, a bit difficult to find but the view was worth it.

One of our all-time favourite accomodations, from over 40 countries visited. What we loved: - falling asleep with the sound of waves, which was perfect (not too loud, not too low) - our mornings and sunsets on the terrace of the building - the location inside the forest, and on top of the cliffs - nature all around us, with nice fauna (varan, monkeys, peacocks, small birds) visiting us. Don’t worry, there is nothing dangerous, they avoid people - The access to the cliff which is just a couple of steps away from the villas. Very good place for sunsets and meditation after - The pool is really nice for relaxing swimming at the end of the day - Near 2 beaches : Jungle beach (amaaaazing place) and Unawatuna beach, also very nice - Small cozy restaurants just outside the villas - A lot of space inside, very comfortable beds & pillows - The host and personnel are top-notch. Hospitality at next level. It was my wife’s 25th birthday and they helped us make it memorable. Great experience!

Everything is great, help with all questions, bikes and other questions . I knocked out the internet a couple of times, but the guys fixed it. The pool is clean and in hot weather it solves a lot 😌

PJ has been a great host and super accommodating. Last minute changes to our trip meant we needed to arrive 1 day earlier than originally planned, PJ kindly allowed us to arrive ahead of schedule and made us feel right at home. The caretaker Nihal has also been superb throughout our stay, making a lovely breakfast for us with a great spread each morning. I would definitely recommend PJ'S place to friends and family and hopefully return in the future. ThaThank you so much for a pleasant stay.

This was the perfect place for our visit to Ahangama! Very private, spacious and catered to all our needs. Malintha was very responsive and always on hand to help with any questions we had. I’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone visiting Ahangama.

Place was perfect for us! Stayed there for 3 adults and one child. Really calm and quiet area. No parties or noise from the coastal road. Thineth organized everything we asked, starting from the working table to car trips around the island. The Internet is fast and suitable for remote working video calls etc. Would recommend his place for sure!

The photos don’t do it justice- what an incredible stay, the most awesome location and Susil’s service was so wonderful - cooking home cooked meals every night and delightful breakfasts ready for us as we came in from the surf each morning. Couldn’t have had a better stay and can’t wait to be back!

Had a great experience staying here. The communication was excellent, making check-in and any inquiries smooth. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean. The kitchen was well-equipped, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was a good size and well-maintained. Highly recommend.

Our time here was absolutely perfect! it was calm and peaceful, the beach was a short walk away, and the breakfast Saman arranged for us was beyond delicious! Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Mirissa. P.S. The fireflies in the trees above at night is something out of a novel 😮

Mif's villa is a real gem in Galle and gave our family the space we needed to have an enjoyable time in Galle with our kids. The villa is a beautiful old building and the rooms are well renovated and extremely clean. What makes this place so special is the wonderful care and attention given by Fayaz. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable. We enjoyed chatting to him about a range of topics and he was always so friendly to the kids. During our time in Galle we had organised for a Sri Lankan friend to visit us, and Fayaz provided a beautiful afternoon tea for us to share with our friend. Lots of lovely little touches like this made for a very memorable time in Galle! Thank you Mif, Fayaz and the team!

The location is perfect and the view from the terrace on the fourth floor is priceless. The best view you can get from Weligama, looking straight at the Fisherman's surf break. If you want to surf that spot then there is no better location. I didn’t stay in the room I booked. I was offered a little bigger room with AC for an additional charge.

we loved our week long stay at that house. the hosts live next door in a separate house, they are really lovely people. Krishna is an amazing cook, made dinner 4 times for us, and always preppped something special and delicious for our 9 months old baby. the house is very comfortable. i can only recommend!!

Location was amazing. Surf at your back door. Probably better for more advanced surfers. Not beginners. Cafe opposite couldn’t do enough for us. My sons 30th and they delivered delicious lunch with birthday cake. We will definitely return. Thank you indika for all your help and care.

Probably the best rental experience we've had. Jackie and Igmar are responsive and helpful hosts. If we had even a hint of a question or problem, Jackie was very quick to help us figure things out. The territory of the house is very nice, in the morning we fed squirrels and birds, near the windows there are trees that create even more pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. In the kitchen and in the appartements themselves there is everything for life, and even more. The apatramenty itself is very clean and pleasant, it is noticeable that the owners put a lot of effort in taking care of the house. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would. Don't forget to read the rules before checking in, I didn't and then asked questions that were already answered in the rules.

we just spent an amazing week+ at Cococabana, amd wish our stay there had never ended. the place is just out of this world, it was a delight going to bed everynight in front of the ocean, listening to the waves crashing... felt like being on a boat. the hosts Andy and Daniel, were lovely and we enjoyed having long chats with them, about their life in Sri Lanka and other things. the house is kept spotless, the staff is doing an amazing job and everyone made us and our baby daughter feel right at home.

I spent 2 nights in this beautiful place with my big family of 13. We all had such a great time. Kids loved the pool and all the water activities they had. It is located only a few minutes from Galle Fort which gave us the opportunity to do sightseeing quite conveniently. Loved the simple Sri Lankan buffet breakfast we had on both days. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Have to mention Amarasiri, who gave us the best customer service throughout our stay. We will definitely visit this place next time we are in Australia. Fantastic stay at Talaramba Reef! We had a large family gathering for 3 nights (9 adults and 5 children) and booked both villas. The villas were beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, very comfortable, with lovely and immaculately kept grounds. The place was very spacious and it felt very relaxing, and the pools were very pleasant. Ranjith and his team were incredible. They were kind, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable stay, including helping to organize a party and putting up a lovely banner. The food was also exceptional and great value for money. We cannot recommend this place enough!

The house is as shown on photos, very cozy. I especially enjoyed the lights with multiple lamps, so great! Lots of book available to read. The mini-pool in the garden is also great to cool down after a hot day. It was cleaned almost each day, the house cleaning was one per week. Don is very nice host, he responds quickly and tries to help as much as possible. He managed to arrange fast cleaning and checked us in earlier; as we were totally destroyed after the long flight, it was so appreciated. From the cons perspective, the internet is limited - 58gb of high speed, more needs to be paid (other one is very slow, so we ended up paying multiple times). We also have never used the shared pool. It's located in neighbors' garden. Once we entered to check the pool, the guest staying there was not comfortable seeing us and hinted that we're not welcomed there. Other than that I think the house is great, we would come back again!
