Cottage vacation rentals in Kilmington

Absolutely beautiful, amazingly stylish, luxurious fixtures and fittings, in the most idyllic setting..We had such a relaxing time, at this cottage in the Somerset countryside. We just simply adored staying here..Nights in the hot tub under the stars are a must, plus cosying up by the log burner..We can not wait to return, Simply one of the best air b n b's we ever had the pleasure to stay at..You won't be disappointed...

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

We loved our stay at Miranda’s place! It was clean, the views were stunning & she was extremely responsive and helpful. Thankful for this wonderful spot for some time with family!

Lodge was huge very clean and very well presented. Decking area very spacious clean and again well smart. The welcome pack was fantastic and they have thought of every little thing you would need and put it in place. Brilliant place can’t recommend enough

We had the most idyllic stay at Higher Lodge. It was perfect for our getaway with 3 dogs. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. Discovering that the side gate led directly (literally) into Cockington Country Park Estate was the icing on the cake. The cottage is really comfortable and homely. The village is quaint and beautiful, quiet but plenty to do with cafes and coffee shops and crafts etc at the estate. The local pub/restaurant (The Drum Inn) was really good value, we ate there twice. I also discovered there is a Cockington Gin which is made locally using botanicals from the village. So purchased a bottle before leaving from the tea room. Thank you Ceri and Daniel our stay was 10/10 x

We had such a lovely week at Pasonage Cottage. Helen was so friendly and welcoming. Home was gorgeous, lovely garden and lovely hottub. Loved the horses next door, view of fields and trees was so perfect. Thankyou so much for a lovely stay x

Characterful property with a beautiful garden, tastefully kitted out, with lots of fun things to do on site. Spacious downstairs area…with the bright kitchen extension leading out onto great communal areas to sit in the sunshine, we never even used the TV lounge area. One bathroom needs planning, as the house can sleep 5 - we were 4 and still… Yes its’s on a hill…as the host says. But options to walk the 10 mins into the village. And plenty of on-street parking option plus the car park by the river is free! Beautiful walks straight out of the door. We did a loop along the river, and under the viaduct. One hour, fairly easy going, set us up for breakfast. We also did Street Outlet Shopping village and Wells on a different day, with amazing street musicians. The Devonshire Arms for a pre-evening drink on the way home was stunning. There’s a talented glass blower in the village…worth a visit. Use it as a base and enjoy the evenings with the sunny spots.

We had a lovely weekend at Kaye and Richard’s little retreat. Welcoming and helpful during our stay. Area and lodge peaceful and relaxing. We followed one of Kaye’s itineries one day and had a great time. Would definitely return

What a fabulous stay, couldn't have asked for better. Such a tranquil village and the cottage was idyllic, hearing the birds and church bells and nothing more. Just what we needed. The garden was perfect for our little girl and the dog to play football and had all you need to eat nicely alfresco, as the kitchen opens out. The pub is quite something, a truly quaint village pub and we had a lovely meal there one night. Def recommend. Alison was a lovely and helpful host and had all the information we needed. Thank you for letting us stay to unwind, we will be back. Just wonderful!

We had the most wonderful 1 night stay in the Admirals cottage. The cottage & grounds are spectacular, we are a family of 4 (x1 child, x1 baby), they both loved the front lawns & play area. We loved meeting the Goats & the cottage itself was spotless, well equipped & was perfect for us adults to chill out (inside & outside) in past bedtime. Thank you Emma. Gutted you are booked for our next staycation to Cornwall, as we would have booked again for our 1 night stop overs!

What a beautiful little cottage in an ideal location for exploring the Dorset coast. Sally was so helpful and welcoming. A perfect bolt hole for a family of four plus dog - clean; well stocked and in a picturesque setting. Highly recommend!

A truly lovely little cottage, in a peaceful place and with plenty of privacy. We adored our stay here, and left feeling so well rested. The cottage has a decent living space and kitchen, which was well equipped for all our cooking needs, and was very tidy. The bedroom is spacious and the bed itself is divine, with a very comfortable mattress and decent linen. We bought our dogs and the private courtyard and garden was perfect, and they also loved sleeping in front of the log burner, which was well stocked. Piers was a brilliant host, had provided very good directions to the cottage, and was there to greet us and run through what we needed to know. There was also a tray of thoughtful essentials and milk in the fridge. There was also a really helpful folder of walks and information in the cottage. Highly recommend visiting The Cricket Inn and getting fresh milkshakes from Coleridge Dairy.

This was my second time staying at Norton Court Farm and it was just as wonderful as the first. The cottage was cozy, spotlessly clean and appointed with many thoughtful amenities that make it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped making it easy to cook meals and the host was very welcoming and offered some lovely local recommendations. Thank you so much for hosting us! :)

We loved our stay here. Beautiful, peaceful location with great walks from the door. The cottage is wonderful, really well equipped and comfortable, it has everything you need and we were very grateful that Caroline provided a cot, highchair and stair gate for our toddler. The garden was huge and perfect for our dog. Caroline and Christopher could not have been more welcoming and kind, really lovely hosts.

We stayed four nights in Jane’s Airbnb and had the most perfect time … a Nana (me), a mum and dad and two littlies … totally wonderful accommodation both inside and out … the hot tub was a particular hit! Jane was super helpful and kind … we needed some help with something and she and Shaun stepped in straightaway and completely sorted the problem out for us. A lovely touch when we arrived was a vase of gorgeous flowers from Jane’s own garden … and also some delicious treats in the kitchen. We thoroughly loved our stay!

A delightful cottage in a perfect location. Like a house you’d see on a postcard of an idyllic Devon or Cornwall harbour. Everything inside and out utterly charming. Well equipped and very cosy. Host Helen could not be better. A very, very nice stay

Communication with Mark was great. The house is really lovely, as described, and the oak extension is great. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and our 3 year old grandchild slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you Mark.... we definitely would like to return.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage over Christmas. Glenda gave great directions and check in instructions, with dinning recommendations. She was very helpful throught the stay. The cottage was perfect, it was exactly as the photos, stylish, welcoming and luxurious. We didn't want to leave. Glenda had also gone the extra mile with lots of fabulous touches. We felt so welcome and the were overwhelmed with the gorgeous Christmas decorations, a lovely surprise. It was also well appointed, so many thoughtful details. We loved the butter dishes, lamps and artwork. Everything was very considered, clean and comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. Great location and brilliant pizzas at the pub, just a walk away. There was a little park for the boys and the local shop in the neighbouring village was well stocked. We loved it and would love to stay again. Fantastic break, thank you so much. The perfect cottage escape.

Harriet's place was amazing. Harriet was very responsive and proactive with helping us with our late check in. The house looks really nice in photos, but it's even better than in real life. We have only one regret, that we couldn't stay longer!

A great find. Kids loved playing with the neighbours 2 spaniels and toys provided. Charmouth is a lovely village.Great location for exploring the Jurassic coast. Kids were excited to find Ammonites on Charmouth beach and the Heritage centre there was worth a visit. The detatched cottage was so comfortable and larger than expected. Katie ( Paul's sister who lived opposite) was so friendly and informative. We definitely recommend staying here.

Very spacious house in a very rural location. A welcome gift of cake and cider waiting for us. Village not served by a bus route. Nice pub which does food just around the corner. Cider farm, apart from cider sells local produce and has a canteen attached. Booking recommended.

Lovely accommodation, very peaceful and situated in easy reach of many beautiful places. We especially liked Dartmouth. The pub which was a 5 minute walk served excellent food and the nearby petrol station had a good size store.

Lovely secluded getaway with nice walks nearby. There is an excellent pub and a railway station in Yeoford which is about 30 minutes walk. Pristine, cosy, high quality accommodation. We hope to return soon.
