Maria is a great host. The house is in a secure location, near the beach and you can visit lots of places from there. The caretaker is also responsive and ready to assist. It's a wonderful house for a family and makes a home away from home. I would definitely visit again

We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 night stay at Khuzi Cottage and Lynda was a great host. She helped us out alot with info and even did a bit of grocery shopping for us before our arrival which was a life saver. Falista the house keeper was great fun and all round super. She kept the cottage nice and clean, nothing was too much trouble for her and served us up some delicious seafood meals! Ruben the groundskeeper kept the outside area and swimming pool spicknspan and always had a smile on his face. Truly lovely staff. We organised Jayne an Ayah to come help with our 1yr old daughter and she did a fantastic job too. Our daughter was very sad to say goodbye to everyone. The cottage was as the pics depicted and was only a stone throw away from the quiet and stunning Turtle bay beach. We struggled a bit with the heat as April is a very humid but did have fans in each of the rooms which helped. All in all a memorial and fabulous time in Watamu. We'll be back.

John is incredibly responsive and an excellent communicator answering all my questions promptly. I would definitely recommend his place to anyone looking for a fantastic stay in Ukunda.

This is a warm, inviting, and beautifully maintained place—much better than the photos suggest! The house creates a relaxing, homey atmosphere that really enhances your holiday experience. Zilpers place is wonderful, there's enough parking, the place is secure and serene. (Actually you can see mt kenya from the house), Zilper is also a wonderful host i must say. She is welcoming qs well. The house is clean with everything that you need.

We had a fantastic time at Thomas's place. Communication prior to the visit was great, she ensured everything was set before our arrival. The staff, what amazing souls! They took really good care of us during our stay. The house is well maintained, from the rooms and out on the pool you can seethe ocean, such a magnificent view. The beach is about 5 minutes walk from the house, I loved this section of the beach as we were all alone. It really is a great place for one to just get away and relax.

The house from Esmond was very nice and clean. It was very big and had more than enough beds for 10 people. The communication with Esmond was very easy and fast. The house girls were also very nice and friendly. Even though the house is located a bit outside from the town I can really recommend the house. We really enjoyed!

My friends and I had a good stay at Mitchelle's place. The place is exactly as described and thoughtfully set-up. Additionally, having a guard gives you the flexibility to come and go as you please. We were able to go out and enjoy our time in Kisumu without having to worry about things related to the home-stay. The place itself is located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood of town close to Lake Victoria. There are a couple of good restaurants close by. We didn't interact with Mitchelle much, but during our short introductions she was very polite, friendly and responsive. If we are ever in Kisumu again, we would definitely choose this place.

Damaris was very helpful and pleased to see us. She offered extra food and invited us to walk around and see the orphanage and garden’s on this big property. We’ll definitely come back.
