We arrived, after landing at the airport at 3 am, extremely early with an Uber and had no problems at all checking in and catch some needed sleep immediately. The apartment is cozy, practical and has everything you might need. We had a mild problem with the laundry machine, which was sold swiftly due to excellent communication with the host. Also, after we forgot important items after our checkout, the host deposited them at the security for us to retrieve them later on our tour through the country. I can definitely recommend this accommodation for a stay in Nairobi.

This place was worth the stay. We asked for a knife to cut a pineapple and a hairdryer he sent a whole set of knifes and a new hairdryer. Had to wait a bit for the hot water to shower but I think that’s how it is in Nairobi and wasn’t a big deal. This place is very centrally located and easy access to everything you need. My next visit I would definitely come back to Skynest. Thank you Richard for a great stay in Nairobi.

Beautiful beachfront apartmen in a very good location with easy access to beach, restaurants and malls. Simon was also responsive and helpful throughout the process and with any questions. Would recommend for a relaxed, memorable stay and looking forward to returning!

My stay at Maureen’s Marvel house was awesome. The place is as shown in the photos. The place is clean, with clean furniture, kitchen well equipped. Having two beds was especially helpful for what I needed, worked perfectly. Maureen is a super host! She was quick to respond to inquiries regarding her house like when water was not heating in one bathroom a maintenance person was there in an hour. She gave me information on different issues as I requested including transportation, as a Kenyan but not lived in that locality before this was super helpful. Having spent almost a month in the house she allowed for later check out since my flight was in the evening. I couldn’t have asked for a better host. The only disclaimer on location is transportation as Ubers sometimes would refuse to go. The location itself is quite accessible but since the overall area is known to have some challenges accessing they would hesitate. Describing how near the road the house is helped. Thanks Maureen.

This place was an amazing spot to stay at! Good amenities and it was really cozy.The cherry on top was its location - you can easily access great restaurants and shopping centers plus Nairobi CBD is pretty close. Lilian was helpful throughout my stay and pretty accommodating when my schedule changed. Highly recommend!

Will definitely stay again

Lyn was a nice and helpful host. She has sent us local recommendations and contacts ahead of our stay and was also making sure everything is ok during our stay. The house is small but cute and as advertised in a very convenient location just next to the Sundowner and Clubhouse. The bedrooms are very bright and airy with huge glass sliding doors onto the patio. Only downside is that there are no mosquito screens for the sliding doors and upon arrival they were all widely open to air out the room. This has allowed lots of huge spiders to come inside. That’s the only downside though, everything else was great. Also the bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with great water pressure.

We loved staying at Helens Place. We were greeted by the house manager Julius who brought us fresh herbs from the garden, Avocados and eggs. It was so special. The place was a prefect size for my boyfriend and I. It was a private cottage away from the main road and very quiet. The backyard was perfect for morning coffee and late afternoon wine. Our favorite part however was the dogs that lived on the property. Chewy, the black lab mix, was the best host and I can not wait to get back to see him again. If you are looking for an affordable cottage, safe, quiet and close to many things in Karen I would highly recommend Helens place. We will be back.

Extremely clean and cozy place, surrounded by nice places to eat out and shopping malls. The place is a haven, with extra spaces for chilling or working. She has put thought on the decor and the garden is well taken care of, making it a memorable place. Jacque is extremely kind and very communicative. I will definitely come back!

It is always hard to book a place based on online information and travel 1/2 way around the world to get there hoping you won’t be disappointed. In this case, I cannot wait to return! Exceeded all of my expectations! Welcome hostess, Patience and housekeeping Beatrice, kindly go above and beyond. This place is a spacious sanctuary with lush vegetation, incorrigible monkeys, and miles of soft sandy beach. Washing machine, fully stocked kitchen and air conditioning in bedrooms made our stay feel decadent. The on-site restaurant served good food and plenty of nearby restaurants along the water. The clean pools sparkled and the temperature was great.

We had the most wonderful Christmas stay. The location of the house is perfect. It is beautifully secluded and private so we could have a wonderful family time. Moses the House Manager was able to order taxis and tuk tuks whenever we wanted to go anywhere beyond walking distance. We were able to walk down to the sea for a swim and the creek to watch the sunset. Frances the cook produce beautiful and delicious breakfasts, lunches and suppers. We were truly spoilt with his delicious meals. As if this was not enough, Vivian and Moses always made sure that the house was beautifully clean and our clothes laundered. The house itself is even better than the photos show. It is a wonderful family space I could not recommend it more.

As always, we had a lovely time at the Lakehouse entertaining a few guests that we had visiting Kenya for the first time. We took in the animals on the property (our visitors were thoroughly awestruck by the end), arranged a night game drive nearby, and toured over to crescent island, among other easily accessible activities from this beautiful property. A big thank you to Jenny for proactively reaching out after we left to flag an item left behind, so we could easily retrieve! Looking forward to our next visit to this property next month.
