I recently stayed at this Airbnb, and it was a great experience overall. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. Wow, what an amazing holiday! Tim was fantastic in helping us to decide whether his villa was right for us prior to booking. He also put us in touch with his local 'fixer' who helped us to book train tickets, trips and transport all at very reasonable and competitive prices. The villa is fabulous. We were spoilt for space as a family of 4 and didn't actually end up using the cottage as there was ample space in the main house. The house is furnished traditionally and we felt a million miles from home which is just what we wanted. The pool was the real highlight for us! The villa is staffed which was a new experience for us but we were quickly made to feel very comfortable. The chefs food is incredible. The housekeeper is lovely and she works tirelessly to keep everything spotless. The gardener/pool guy was a real star and we enjoyed having a laugh with him. We didn't see much of night security but we always felt extremely safe and appreciated him. 10/10 from start to finish

This was our second stay at African Art House and it was again very pleasurable. Very comfortable, friendly and accommodating house staff, Anina very responsive to any problems, short walk to the beach, easy access to transport, etc. Looking forward to stay #3, whenever that might be.

My stay here was lovely. The staff were always responsive and so kind. The apartment was gorgeous and wonderful. Had a slight snag with power but they quickly responded to it which adds to the great customer service they had.

This house stood out for 2 reasons: 1. The value - it would be hard to match the quality of this house with other similar houses in Watamu. The service of the house staff was excellent and the house had everything you needed to accommodate a lovely vacation. The house is especially amenable to families with the layout of the bedrooms and an on-site swimming pool. 2. The location - this location is private and peaceful. Yes, you are not on the water, but multiple beaches are easily walkable. In sum, a lovely, clean and quiet place to stay in Watamu that is especially accommodating for families.

We absolutely loved this gorgeous cottage. Situated in an easily accessible plot with a simple 6 minute walk down to the best beach in town, it’s a pure delight. It’s impeccably and tastefully furnished and decorated, super comfy, cool with aircon in the bedrooms and well equipped in the kitchen. It has everything you need for a stunning home from home holiday on the beach. The pool and garden are wonderful after a morning on the beach, and the BBQ area and outdoor patios great for meals in or an afternoon snooze in the shade. Just wonderful - thanks so much, we loved it. Oh and the staff are amazing taking great care of you for just as much or as little as you like.

We had a lovely stay, unfortunately shorter than we had planned but Katelyn was extremely accommodating and the cottage was cosy and comfortable with really nice personal touches to make us feel welcome. The cottage was also located in a great area close to everything you might need.

I always stay at Carol’s place when in Nakuru. It is truly a “home away from home”! Beds are comfortable, linens fresh. Outdoor dining space (recently added) is a real plus. Caretaker Moses is extremely helpful as needed. Do not hesitate to book this property!

We had a super time at beautiful Manyana house in Watamu. It was a bit big for us since it was just the two of us. The staff were great. Anthonina, Katana and Lucky looked after us well. Short 3 minute walk to the beach. Great restaurants. Snorkelling was awesome as was watching dolphins. I would recommend Manyanna house highly.

For myself and my companion this was a work trip but the stay was very comfortable and a beautiful place to stay. If I make another trip to Nairobi I would definitely book again and I would be very happy if I could bring my family.

Amazing experience, we loved staying in Mikhail's house! You can feel and see the care put in every detail, both in the house and in the garden. The surrounding is peaceful while still being in the heart of Diani town with access to all main shops and restaurants. The compound has also a direct private access to the beach, well secured. The swimming pools are clean and great when travelling with children, sunbeds are comfortable and practical, and in the garden there are external showers and a bar space. The terrace is very cosy and perfect to spend quality time all together. The house is beautiful, with very spacious rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, very clean and with all the necessary space for your things. Esther, the lady managing the day-by-day stay, is very responsive and helpful in case of anything. We enjoyed our stay, we will definitely return. Totally recommended!

We were there with 5 kids from Nairobi who have never been outside the city. The house was absolutely perfect for this occasion, the staff was more like family, the house, garden and pool are beautiful and right on the ocean. I will this house again!

William is an excellent host!! He was always responsive when I would message him. The place was so accommodating with all modern amenities! Super clean too and Beds were comfortable! The place is in a very convenient area near shopping mall and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

If you reach the gate to Cashew Nut Cottage by tuk tuk, you will certainly be a bit shaken and full of all kinds of smells, impressions and noise - but then the gate opens to another world. Eddi and the dogs welcome you, you trudge through sand to the cottage and it is clean, quiet and peaceful. The birds are chirping, maybe you can hear voices from the neighborhood or watch a red-headed gecko and while you're making coffee or tea, you take a cool shower and soon find yourself happy and content with a cup in one hand and with the other hand the dog is graying on the terrace. Heavenly.

A calm oasis with a great pool, in a shady & tranquil garden, while still being convenient to town amenities (walkable). Very kind, quiet & unobtrusive house manger Daniel present during the day. Clear communication with helpful & friendly host Jeremy. I recommend it!

Stayed with family including 5 kids under 11 years. We had a wonderful time! The pictures truly don't do the house justice. The kids (and adults too!) spent most of the time in the pool. The beach is a 5 mins walk away where we got excursions to Malindi marine park. But what made this stay so enjoyable for us was the staff (Phillip, Janet, Eric and James) who really made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

As always, we had a great stay at Swordfish. The house is spacious and clean, the compound is very serene with a big swimming pool. The staff is very friendly! Highly recommend.

Great place. A few minutes drive to the beach. Well worth it.

My husband, our family and I recently enjoyed an exceptional stay at Nick and Aline’s Almond Ridge property. They were incredibly accommodating and responsive, and Nick even took the time to personally welcome us upon arrival. The house was clean, spacious, and perfectly suited for our family, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a chef they had recommended. The house is located in a secure, gated community featuring beautifully maintained gardens and a serene atmosphere. There is also a swimming pool within the community that added an extra layer of relaxation to our visit. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to booking again with Nick and Aline - next time, we’ll likely try their other location within Diani. Highly recommended!
