The house on the lake

We loved this place. The way Franco has decorated it is so detailed in art and speaks of his family. The books are old and amazing and the manner he displayed them: some on their side, some standing up. The shampoos from his travels are a marvelous art display. The old photos of the home…The small liquors are cute. In the bedroom, the hats in one corner and the old luggage in the other…This is the most interesting Airbnb I have ever been in. And that’s completely beside the unbelievably beautiful view from all windows. It’s right on the lake. This place is amazing.

We loved our stay. The place is beautiful and cozy with a stunning view of the lake and mountains. The location is peaceful and quaint. Laglio is a perfect place to stay to beat the tourist crowds. Paul was an excellent host. Very responsive with excellent local recommendations. I highly recommend this to place to anyone considering a trip to Como.

Andrea was an amazing host. The location of the property is spellbound. The property has a close proximity to the lake. You can view the lake from every window of the apartment. Andrea also helps with local recommendations. We arrived in a rented car. He guided us where to park and where not to. The house is spacious and clean. The elevator is a boo. The only only drawback : We had a toddler with us so the parking was a challenge. The closet parking is a 10 min walk ( 5 min sprint ). We found this problematic as the weather was not too forgiving. You do have the provision of parking right next to the house for just 30 mins to load / unload your luggage. But again that’s subject to availability. The porto ceresio train station is at a walkable distance so it is recommended that you come here by train. Even bus connectivity is decent. There is a bustling cafe right outside the house hosted by some really kind people. It’s a must visit.

Incredibly lovely home - really a villa. Nestled in the hills above Cernobia. The grounds are beautiful, the fireplace was ready to go, the lighting is sublime and the bottles of water and sparkling wine provided were very welcome. Nico, Jenny's husband had lived in the US and really enjoyed being a host and guide. The views of the Lake from the upper deck, the lawn chairs, the outdoor table under a trellis of leaves was amazing. You are In the hills, so be prepared for tight turns to get to the villa as not unexpected in the Lake Como area. The payoff is worth the effort.

We had the BEST time staying at Maria’s place. The location was phenomenal (Moltrasio isn’t as busy as the other villages but close enough to travel there for a day). The restaurants are very close and AMAZING (about a 10 walk). Maria is the best host we’ve ever had. She’s incredibly kind, extremely generous with helping her guests, and overall very welcoming. If you choose to stay here, I recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes to climb the stairs. It is an 18 minute walk from the ferry to the villa (uphill with stairs), so just be prepared for that. We stayed in late October and the weather was beautiful. We were told that the weather was unexpectedly nice for that time of year, so don’t bank on that being your experience if you plan to go in late October 😂 Tips: don’t plan on taxis, use the ferry- it’s always reliable and very affordable (for two of us it was maybe 16 euros/day round trip). Visit all of the neighboring villages. Bring a water bottle with you!

The chalet with the large terrace overlooking the lake was simply mega!! Such a great location and the hosts Camilla and Marco are heart-loving people. They supported and cared for us warmly and attentively. And at the same time, we also had the desired privacy and tranquility. We definitely recommend the place. We were able to enjoy our holiday to the fullest, despite a lot of rain. Marco's place is definitely worth a trip.

The house was perfect, very livable and as described Very comfortable in general and well furnished The house is between 15 and 20 minutes' walk from the station, but the street always turns out to be well lit, so it's a quiet route There is also the market just a few minutes' walk from home

I only stayed one night for reasons related to the proximity to work and it was enough for me to find the perfect place for my need. The apartment is very clean and tidy and is spreads over two floors communicating with a spiral staircase. Chu Yi welcomed me for late-night check-in and was very kind and helpful; in addition, since it is December, she set up a small arrival calendar in the house and left me a present for my day. Highly recommended :)

This place is really wonderful. All as described, the location is beautiful, the rooms are lovingly decorated, everything was very clean. Mary is a wonderful host, she is very helpful and always responsive. The view on lake views is breathtaking. We will definitely be back, thanks for the great time!

Francesco was very responsive upon arriving to Lake Como. We were celebrating a birthday and he helped decorate the Airbnb with balloons and provided a complimentary bottle of champagne! Torno is a smaller area than Como so he made sure to offer restaurant recommendations and transportation from his staff . The only thing is it’s best to carry cash if you are going to use the taxi as well as make sure that you buy groceries before going to the Airbnb. We found it a bit hard to come and go because transportation is a bit pricey and the location is a bit further away from the restaurants and stores. Overall beautiful view it looks just like the pictures and beautiful , modern , clean Airbnb!
