Steven is a very welcoming host. He is always responsive, and makes you feel at home. He is honest about the amenities provided and gives you plenty of privacy.

We were in need of a new chapter to our Thanksgiving traditions and the cottage provided the perfect blend of vacation and “Home”. The cottage is an architectural gem; woodwork, stone, stained-glass, Marcia has filled it with the “things” of family that you would expect in your own home; books from travel, school and music; decorative items from travels abroad; nice linens local artwork, baby grand, family board games, etc. The personal touches are a plus. Thanks for the cheese, coffee and homemade cranberry-orange bread! The bread was delicious! The home town feel was made complete with a chance encounter with Marcia, out with her dogs, miles away while hiking the Beavertail trails. Thank you for these wonderful memories. More to come, we hope!

The house was perfect! It has everything you might need in a home away from home. The location was easy to find, very quiet with beautiful outdoor space and gardens. The resident birds and bunnies in the yard were very entertaining for those of us who enjoy watching abundant wildlife! We would definitely book this house again when visiting RI.

We enjoyed a short, pleasant stay at The Nautical Nest. We brought two granddaughters for a school vacation week getaway. Melissa’s place was clean, well-equipped, comfortable, and convenient for outings to Newport, Watch Hill, and Providence. We highly recommend Mellisa’s home for a stay in southern Rhode Island!
