Apartment vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

The contact with Sarah was straightforward and very friendly. The property has a very nice and central location, making all the attractive places of the old town within walking distance. Sarah was very flexible both at check-in and check-out. She even gave us the opportunity to leave later than originally planned. Thanks again for that 😊

We stayed here for five days and had a superb time. The apartment is in a great location, very close to the beach and lots of restaurants. It had very good air conditioning and good self catering facilities as well. We would definitely return!

Great stay at Pierluigi’s place - the centre is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and the train station is a 20 minute walk. The apartment is very cosy, safe and feels more spacious than the photos look. We felt right at home and there are also two adorable cats that sleep outside the place which we loved seeing. The only downsides are the water pressure in the shower and the fact that the place is on the ground floor so you can hear everything/everyone through the front door which can be loud especially at night. Overall, if I was coming to Syracuse again, I would definitely stay here.

This apartment is very suitable for up to 4 people. There are two double beds, one of which can be reached by a steep staircase and is in the same room as the other. The roof terrace is beautiful, which is shared with other tenants, but we almost always had it to ourselves. The apartment is located in a small side street and therefore quite quiet. You can easily reach the many beautiful places on the island of Ortigia. The train station is 20 minutes to walk. Parking a car is much more difficult, the large parking lots at the foot of the island seemed to be overcrowded.

Comfortable and clean apartment in central location. Everything worked well and met with expectations. Breakfast downstairs in Irma La Dolce was excellent!

The flat is fantastic. We spent relaxing hours on the two magnificent roof terraces, listening to the calm and lively sounds of Siracusa, watching the seagulls and swallows and observing a nocturnal Etna eruption in the distance. For people with a sense of history, myth, culture and beauty, Oritigia is an almost inexhaustible place. And we were right in the centre of it. We hardly needed any support and Loreana on site responded immediately, even late in the evening.

Nice place, clean, kind hosts. It is close to Neapolis and the Basilica, and also about 20 mins of walking to Ortigia. 4 mins of walking to the Interbus bus stop.

Salvatore's flat is gorgeous! The views from both balconies looks right onto the Fountain of Arethusa where everyone comes for photos and sunset. It's an extremely busy area but with the windows shut at night I could manage sleep by midnight. Worth it. Everything in Otogio is a short walk. The flat has everything you need, the bed was comfortable and Salvatore was a great host, giving great restaurant recommendations. note: if arriving at the Siracusa bus station, recommend taking the small red SAIS bus #106 to Archemides piazza and walking from there to the apartment.

The house is in a bustling area and very easy to get to. There is an elevator in the building - about 7 stairs to the elevator. The pathway to the room is very quiet with the courtyard in between. There was no noise from both the inside and outside. The view is overlooking via dione from the 2 terraces. The bathroom and room kitchen were both very clean, so we had a pleasant stay. There is an additional charge when using the washing machine (10 euros per week) and it works well. When I checked in, he gave me detailed information about the room and nearby things to do. We were also provided with plenty of water to drink. It's a shopping street right in front of the accommodation, and the fish market is also very close. There is a cafe right in front, so you can arrive in 30 seconds. It's a 10-minute walk to the cathedral. It's close to anywhere in Ortigia. I traveled past the peak season, so parking was no problem. i parked in the talete parking lot and paid for parking with the easy park app There were a lot of parking spots, and there were a lot of people coming and going, so it wasn't scary. The host kindly explained about parking and ZTL. It was very helpful to me because I was worried about the parking lot Thanks to the accommodation in a clean and good location I really enjoyed my trip to Syracuse ^ ^

This was a perfect location in Ortigia, on a characteristic narrow street but close to many shops including a small supermarket which was literally 30 mt away from the flat. But what really stood out for us was Carmelo’s availability and hospitality. We rented a car and got a fine because of a misunderstanding. Carmelo went personally to the local police station and managed to get it cancelled. He went well out of his way to help us. Unprecedented in our experience. Thank you so much!

We very much enjoyed staying at this colorful place. Very interesting layout of the flat and just next to the beach which was a lovely experience to wake up to. Giuliana is very flexible and we highly recommend to stay at her place.

Really nice place, in a cozy location. Great recommendations from the host. A little noisy in the apartment, but ok. Andrea had bought things specifically for us and for our baby.

The property is very clean and centrally located in Siracusa. You can get to the "island" in about 15 minutes. We felt right at home.

Easy check-in as Marco waited at outdoor and showed around the apartment which was totally clean and spotless. Highspeed internet supports e.g. videocalls. 6th floor apartment, very quiet. Effective aircon. Grocery store literally across the street. 15mins walk from train station and to Ortigia. Truly recommending to stay here 👍🏻.

A very big WOW. This house and the whole place is just amazing. The pool is beautiful and the kitchen located next to it outside is just a blessing. Honestly the place is way better then the photos could tell. Thank you Floriana for being so friendly and hospitable. You and your family are amazing and we felt very comfortable. Even tho their apartment is on the same property, they never gave us the feeling of being controlled. Everything just perfect. I know it might sound like im being paid for saying all this, but let me tell you: Every word is sincere! If you need a place to stay near Syracuse, you should definitely consider this one. Federica’s apartment is even better than the description! After Naples and Palermo, this was just perfect for some time relaxing. The pool is lovely and overlooks the sea, you can swim at anytime. You can also go down some steep, narrow steps to the beach and swim in the sea with little fishes! The house is spotless, has a very comfortable bed and best of all, mosquito screens meant we didn’t need to use the air-con and could fall asleep listening to the sea! There is a lovely balcony set up with chairs and a table where you can enjoy the sea view and sunrise if you’re up early enough! All in all, perfect, a lovely bottle of wine was left for us too. I really didn’t want to leave!

Francesco’s place is brilliant! We stayed for a few nights and absolutely loved it. A great base for trips all around the east side of the island. There’s lots of space and the two balconies are a particular highlight. Highly recommended.

It was a great, quiet, and safe location within walking distance of the Archaeological Park (30 mins) and the city center (10 mins). Public paid parking was 2 min walk. Easy and clear instructions for self-check-in and flexible check-in and check-out. We needed an extra key, and Mauro brought it straight away. They even offered us a homemade meal, but we were not going to be around for dinner to receive it.The hosts were super warm and attentive. We would stay here again! Thank you again!

Very nice setting, quiet, Roberto and Erik his son are very responsive and very kind. I would recommend this place for discovering Syracuse and its surroundings.

Nice, big, clean comfortable home - great base location to tour Ortigia, Syracuse and surroundings from. We actually really liked staying above the market as it was fascinating watching the market go up each day and come alive. Spectacular location near the water with walking access to everything the city has to offer. Great restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops directly underneath the home.

Alverios place is in a great area. Very easy to walk to the island and explore Syracuse. American coffe maker was an added plus! Parking can be an issue at times.

The apartment was almost as described in the listing with few minor discrepancies, but over all great stay, feels safe and the view from the terrace is nice while chilling in the hot tub. The information about complimentary breakfast and snacks is a bit misleading but we gave it benefit of the doubt and figured it out with the responsive administration afterwards.
