Chris gave us all the information we needed to find the villa and where all the utilities were, the villa was very well presented, in particular the power shower was amazing after a days walking or sitting on the beach Could not fault it Rob

As a multi-generational group of eleven - ages ranged from 3 years to 84 - we had a wonderful few days in The Manor farmhouse. Upon arrival there was a warm welcome from Andy. The Manor is a friendly, comfortable, welcoming house that wraps itself around you. It's very homely. There’s an amazingly well-equipped kitchen and it was a joy to stand at the island in the conservatory prepping meals while looking out at the wonderful view. Everyone slept well in lovely bedrooms which are beautifully appointed. An amazing swimming pool and a games room provided fun for children and adults. Feeding the animals with Ruth on the Sunday morning of our stay was a high point for the children. A relaxing, restful time was had by everyone – The Manor is a truly wonderful place which gave us all some lovely memories. Ruth and Andy are providing something very special – their high standards are clearly reflected in the accommodation and all that is on offer at Woodlands Manor Farm.

Fantastic find, we will be back for sure! The place was immaculate, I’ve never stayed in such a clean place. The children enjoyed feeding the animals, and playing on the slides and swings. We bought some burgers and sausages on site and they were lovely and very reasonable. Cottage had every essential you could need, very very well stocked in the kitchen with quality utensils and pots and pans (makes such a difference). An absolute gem of a place, will be sure to recommend to friends and family

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

Badgers House was the perfect venue and location for a large family break. House was well equipped and comfortably furnished. The indoor pool proved a knockout with the children - especially as the weather wasn’t great! The indoor games room was a hit for the male adults, who enjoyed hours of pool, and they hit the gym too. The woodland walk was perfect, we spotted a male deer, the children loved it! Hide and seek in the house was so exciting and kept the little ones entertained for hours! Thank you to Max and Alex for being superb hosts and giving us this beautiful home and setting to enjoy. Our granddaughter broke her heart to have to leave! We will definitely be returning and may need Toad Hall next time for more family members to come along and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful place.

We really enjoyed our stay in there. Well provided kitchen with everything you need. Lovely and warm feeling place to stay, with nice playground nearby. Great for kids just running around. Thank you 😊

Everything was as described. Neil was a great host and left a very generous welcome pack and a really useful folder of information. The house is in a good location, is spacious, and has amazing showers (although the high water pressure was less useful when our son drowned the kitchen as soon as we arrived!). The kitchen, although not that modern, is large and very well equipped. We didn't use the dining area much except for meals: it was a bit chilly (bring slippers for the tiled floor), there were no blinds on the windows, and WiFi didn't reach well into that room. In fact, it's worth bringing a collapsible table if you plan to use a laptop much in the house. The beds were all really comfortable but the curtains in most bedrooms are very light and thin so blackout blinds are advised. We stayed outside the swimming pool opening season but used the pool at Ruda down the road which was really fun. The pool table was great for an extra activity on rainy days. Overall, we'd recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful stay for a wedding last weekend. The house is great place to relax and just a short walk from the beach. The garden is really secure for dogs and has a side gate with a hose to wash off the sand after fun at the beach. Nic and Rick sent loads of really helpful information before our stay and were flexible with timings for check in and out. They are so friendly, are very responsive to any questions and left some lovely personal touches for our arrival (scones and jam, eggs, bread and milk!). Thank you for a great stay. We had a lovely time and hope to be back soon!!

I Had my Colleagues stay for majority of the week as we were working in the area, ideal location with lots of options for meals in nearby local towns. Lynda was really helpful and responsive! Will be looking to book again in the future!

Excellent house for our party of Grandparents, children and grandchildren. Lots of space and the house coped with us all very well. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a wonderful short break, just what we needed after a manic few weeks. The location is beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing. Pollyanna was a great host and provided so much helpful information for our stay to ensure we had the best time! We’ll be back soon!

We had a great stay at Anchor Down. The house is in a great location just around the corner from the village. The house felt spacious and bright, with beautiful views from the bedroom windows. Great communication from Steve throughout making for a pleasant experience!

Chris was a great host, responding promptly to any questions about the place and gave clear instructions and some useful tips and reccomendations about Bude. The house was perfect for our trip, comfy, and great for a large group with everything in good conditions. Beds were comfy and everything was as described. 10/10 house and couldn't reccomend enough!

We had a blast at Grenville House. It was definitely a unique experience! Plenty of room for children, adults and 3 dogs. A large family dinner table where we ate, worked, spoke and did arts and crafts. Rose was responsive via Airbnb and phone call. Thank you for having us!

We visited with a small group of friends to spend a long weekend here to do some walking in Exmoor - what a find! The house is so beautiful and the views are breathtaking from all the front windows. It was a great space to hang out and relax and accommodated us all with ease. The house has a restful, happy ambience - we were sad to leave. A special place indeed. We'd love to come back some day if its still available. Sally was a great host and very welcoming.

Mike and Helens home was the perfect homely base for our family Christmas. The house was decorated and with two log burners was very cosy and festive. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook for the whole family every night. The location is perfect for visiting places on the North and south coast and there is plenty of parking in the drive for 5 cars. The house is in a very quiet area, which was lovely and the airfield nearby is good for dog walks.

Fantastic property in a great location. The house has lots going for it...flexible accommodation - all very well kitted out, private hot tub in the enclosed sunny rear garden, very useful outside heated shower for getting the beach off you and prepping for the hot tub, the whole place has a lovely feel to it. Location-wise, it's only a short drive to some of the best beaches in the country....we SUP'd at Hele Bay, body-boarded at Woolacombe, and ate ice cream everywhere! Close enough to larger towns like Barnstaple and Ilfracombe, but walkable to the lovely Braunton with it's mix of pubs and restaurants. It's a great home, beautifully located.

Fantastic house, amenities, and location. Beautifully presented. Spotlessly clean. The Dutch Tub was unusual and fun. The games room added lots of fun too. Plenty of room and also very quiet and we felt completely in our own little world.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, beautifully decorated, and felt very welcoming. Richard was extremely nice and approachable—he greeted us warmly on arrival and made us feel right at home. He even offered us a late checkout, which we didn’t end up needing but truly appreciated the gesture. He was available if we needed anything, but also gave us our space. The house itself is lovely, with a beautiful garden where we enjoyed using the BBQ. Overall, a great experience and we’d definitely stay again!

We had a fab stay here - the place was really homely and comfortable. It was great to be able to access widemouth beach and for cliff top walks. It is right on the road but still felt quiet and peaceful. The horses were a very friendly addition! Thanks so much for our stay!
