Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hordaland

What a lovely stay! The farm is so peaceful. We went with friends and our 13 month old daughter who loved seeing the sheep, and running around the yard. The place was fantastic for kids (high chair, crib, toys). We had the best time walking around the property, cooking delicious food, going in the hot tub and we even took the boat out for a special trip! There’s a sauna 10 minutes down the road which was a treat. Easy 1 hour drive from Bergen. Highly recommend!

I was visiting for the second time and brought friends with me this time. It was a fantastic stay again. I knew what to expect bit my friends were also super happy. The house is a real jewel. The location is an absolute dream! The view from the terrace and the jacuzzi is sinply breathtaking. Exploring the water by boat or with the kayas was a very nice experience and it was crownes by some freshly caught fish as well. We will definitelly come back again :-)

The perfect place to stay! Maria and Jarle are delightful, friendly hosts. Their place was cozy, clean, and accommodated our large party of 10 with ease. There is a lot to do from the Airbnb - they have kayaks, paddle boards, a motor boat, a trampoline, a hot tub, games, and the most beautiful, peaceful surroundings! Their information binder was so helpful with clear info about the area and nearby hikes/activities as well as instructions for the Airbnb. We wished we had stayed another day or two!

The house is located in an exceptional setting. We were very generously welcomed by Lars whom we thank very much for his responsiveness and hospitality. We were able to enjoy the billiards, boat and hot tub. Everything was perfect! The nearby shop is also a real advantage. We hope to come back as we had a suspended time. Thank you for everything!

Well equipted house, superb location – a very good experience at Arild‘s place. Owner is very easy to get in contact with, any issue is solved at the same minute :) 100% recommend for the one’s who will look at the place to rent in Førde !!!!!

The cabin was really cute, we got enough wood to keep our fire going for the days we were there. The husky’s were very cute and very excited to see people all the time. The hosts were very nice. The location was also gorgeous with a mountain path right behind the house.

I have visited this wonderful place multiple times - it's a fantastic destination with a great host. Everything is always very easy (communication, booking, etc.) and the house is in excellent condition. The kitchen in particular is very well stocked for those who love to cook. Thank you again for a good visit.

Had a great stay in the cabin over a weekend. Just a few minutes drive from Mikkelparken, which was the main destination of our trip to Kinsarvik. The cabin is idyllically located among the apple orchards, and I had some quiet moments with fishing down by the fjord, while our boys had fun rolling down the hill and jumping on the trampoline that was available to us. Beautiful cabin and surroundings – highly recommended!

The star of the show is the location. I dare to say: one of the most beautiful fjords we’ve seen. Maybe even one of the most beautiful spots we’ve ever seen. The town feels like time stood still and you have the fjord to yourself. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I would 100% recommend to stay here to check out the Geilo area.

Great place for the whole family to get out of the everyday struggle. Recommend!

Lena’s place is a lovely apartment right outside Jorpeland, up on a hill, with a beautiful view. It’s a great location if you don’t want to stay in the busy town center. Easy access to Pulpit Rock, Jorpeland and Stavenger and convenient if you are renting a car. The apartment is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are comfy! Has a great outdoor area to enjoy an evening meal or drink and watch the sunset. Lena’s dad met us upon arrival, showed us around, and explained the area with various maps. We were also greeted with a plate full of waffles, yogurt, and jam, which was delicious. We were very pleased and highly recommend this place!

Christen is unlike any other host. He met me at the bus stop and helped me with the luggage. He has a handwritten book of recommendations on where to eat and what to do, along with helpful instructions for the stay. He had left a bottle of wine, and cookies and coffee for me, which was very thoughtful. The place is super walkable to the city centre and the tour/airport bus stops. While central, it’s also tucked away from all the city centre madness and thereby offers a quiet and relaxing place to stay after a busy day of exploring the beauty of Norway. Christen was very friendly, flexible and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a central place to stay in Bergen (as long as they don’t mind climbing up a few flight of stairs). Thanks for the lovely time in Bergen, Christen! Hope to stay here again when my travels bring me back to the incredibly beautiful city of Bergen. :) Cheers!

Arve is a real craftsman who has restored this beautiful old home. Located it the top of a hill and end of a road, it was very quiet and peaceful. Park at the foot.ferry and take it to Bergen. Arve is friendly and helpful, a very good host.

This was one of the nicest AirBnB's that we've stayed in. Very nicely furnished and nothing lacking in the kitchen - we were easily able to cook meals there. Comfortable bedding with night tables on both sides, and nice furniture for relaxing. Place was easy to find with beautiful views of the fjord from the front porch, with a path going down to the water's edge across the street. Heated floor in the bathroom. Iwona was a very responsive and helpful host. We would stay here again without hesitation!

Veldig hygge! Kirsten was a great host and provided lots of recommendations and insight about the area. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was great for our longer stay.

Christer’s home with its outstanding views over the little islands of Oygarden was the picture perfect place to relax and spend time with the family. - clean, modern, bright with everything you could want. It was in addition fantastic to be able to use the fishing boat, BBQ and heated pool, as well as the local recommendations like the swimming sauna! Thank you so much Christer and family - you are truly amazing hosts!

A very nice and spacious, beautiful apartment, not far from the center and with a supermarket literally around the corner. It was an absolute comfortable place for 4 people (including 2 teenagers) and Sara responded quickly and kindly to any questions we had. All in all we had a wonderful stay! We also enjoyed the swimming pool in the building. For NOK 200 pp we had a ticket for 24h. So with a little planning you can use it multiple times. Schedule is different from the website though, so ask at the reception and check the schedules on the doors. Btw: Despite the detailed information about parking/entrance from Sara, we had a little trouble finding the address, because Maps first led us to an address earlier on Tveiteråsvegen and then we also drove past the place, and stranded on the cycle path. Tip: It's at the end of Tveiteråsvegen, but just before the very end, it is the small parking lot on the right (downhill driveway)

The stay at Ina's was pleasant. She is easy to reach and was very friendly. The location of the apartment was great, and you can go on beautiful hikes!

We spent fantastic days at Kjetils house, it was just like we hoped it to be according to the pictures, very cozy house (even bigger living/kitchen area than we expected) in a stunning landscape. Of course spending the long dark nights in the outdoor pool was not only for our children an absolut highlight! (And eben seeing the northern lights one day!) Kjetil always answered immediately any question, just had some minor issues when we arrived in the dark. We would definitely like to come back one day!

Loved our stay so much we returned two years later for ONS. Business trip for 4-5 and made for a great base for the event, and close to the entertainment each evening while allowing us the ability to keep on top of our work and hold wrap up and 2025 planning meetings.

Puddehytta lived up to the name this weekend, with a wonderful lead in and off the trail. We got to try both over and down the skiing 😊 Very great and cozy cottage. Great long table with room for the big family around the same table. Spacious and great kitchen. A small loft room with TV was plus for the kids who could sit there. A great cabin with a great location, makes us happy to 😊🤩
