- Learn a lot about the Lowcountry and Learn To Conserve in general! Hilton Head has such a unique ecosystem. May through October is Sea Turtle Season but wine should NOT expect to see any SEA Turtles. Depending on the tides and season also depends on what we will see and discuss. We will meet at a specific, off the beaten path beach and walk approximately 1 mile (depending on tide). We will discuss what we find, what we should keep or leave on the beach and how our everyday activities affect what may be happening in the ocean. I will also carry a bag, if we should see any trash to help keep our beach clean. This saves any marine life or birds from ingesting or being entangled in harmful material. A few of my favorite topics include Sea Turtles, Horseshoe Crabs, sand crabs, fiddler crabs, ghost crabs, sand dollars, and of course our local dolphin. This is a perfect spot for birding as well. Other things to note The town of Hilton Head maintains restroom facilities located at the parking area. We will walk approximately 1/2 a mile in one direction and back, totaling just over a mile in length.From Price:$20 / person
- Kayaking & Coffee is the Perfect Outdoor Experience! We will begin by doing a short “Kayak Clinic” on proper kayaking technique and waterway safety. We will then depart on kayak enjoying the calm waterways of Broad Creek while sipping great local coffee (coffee preferences will be taken prior to the trip)! As we paddle at your pace, I’ll explain the local Hilton Head area, ecosystem, wildlife, etc. You will learn more about the marsh grass, oysters, wildlife, ecosystem, and Hilton Head in general. We will have the CHANCE to see pelicans, herons, egrets, osprey, and Atlantic bottlenose dolphin! Remember - wildlife is on their time so this is not guaranteed. After the trip, I will send you any of my personal recommendations on restaurants, activities, or events so you can make the most out of your vacation. Location of the kayaking experience is Broad Creek. The surroundings include marshes, houses, marinas, etc. Groups are always limited to 8 or less for a small and personal experience. Experience is great for beginners- experienced. Kayaking will be slow - moderate paced. - This Sunset Fireworks Dolphin Experience has it all! This combination is the perfect way to spend your evening. We'll meet at Palmetto Bay Marina and board a super comfortable pontoon boat stocked with water, soda, and chips! We'll cruise through the calm waters of Broad Creek observing the beautiful Lowcountry Ecosystem - marsh grass, oysters, pluff mud, and many varieties of birds. - We will venture into Skull Creek with each adventure personalized to individual or group. Due to covid and experience cancellations, each trip will be per family only.
