The space
Secluded location with beautiful walks and stunning views. The gypsy wagon is unique and offers a special overnight experience with modern decor.

The wagon is located at the far end of our acre garden, so is very private. We have a shack where the bathroom facilities are located as well as the outdoor dining space and kitchenette area.

Within the wagon, there are tea / coffee making facilities, all the equipment you require for cooking as well as a small fridge to keep your food and drink cool. There is also an induction hob, if you’re not cooking over the fire or on the bbq. We ask our guests to use the outbuilding to cook under rather than within the wagon.

We supply loads of board games so there is no excuse to get bored! There are plenty of plug sockets in the wagon but no TV. If you fancy watching something, please download before hand as its countryside Internet. You are welcome to come up to the house to get a better connection!

Enjoy a BBQ on the fire pit and dine alfresco or light the fire and snuggle under the stars.

There is a heater in the wagon so it’s nice and toasty during the colder months. There is no heating in the shack and bathroom.

We send a guide closer to arrival to all our favourite places to spend a day and eat and drink

We welcome small housetrained dogs but must know in advance if you are planning on bringing your pet. Ideally 1 dog maximum please due to the size of the wagon.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Guest access
Guests have their own gated area but please enjoy our beautiful garden. We have some stunning plants and the squirrels and deer love popping in for a visit.

We have placed some popular board games in the wagon for your entertainment

Plenty of space on the drive for parking

Other things to note
Tea and coffee facilities are in the wagon as well as a little fridge so you can cook in the alfresco dining area.

We have a lovely vizsla called Rufus who is rather energetic. He is very friendly but can also be a little bouncy. He will not enter your private garden. We also have cat called Nim, she is very friendly and curious.

During the wet/colder months, make sure you bring your wellies!

There is no wifi in the wagon

We are located in a village called Scaynes Hill, Lindfield Rural. There are some wonderful pubs nearby for when you want to dine out. The Sloop Inn, Snowdrop, Farmers are all walking distance. Lindfield Coffee Works is amazing for breakfast and is a short drive away.

We are right on the Sussex border path and have some stunning walks close by in Costells Woods, Walstead School and many more adventures!

There is a petrol station nearby if you don’t want to drive to collect any essentials. But, we recommend doing your shopping in Lindfield. The fruit and veg shop offers a wide selection and Cottenhams butchers have some delicious meats. Theres a coop in Lindfield as well as a Tesco metro. If you need a bigger supermarket you need to head into Haywards Heath where you’ll find Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. There are also some lovely shops in Lindfield where we have sourced some of the items in the wagon.
