The space
Imagine stepping back in time to a simpler, more relaxing pace. Surrounded by nature, we invite you to be our guest in our cozy guest house located on a farm established in 1820 in historic Fitzwilliam.

This is a romantic place for couples to unwind and reconnect. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing.
You can meander along the trail on our property or hike Mount Monadnock if you'd like more of a challenge.

We escaped the hustle of city living eleven years ago and fell in love with this property. While you're away we want our guest house to feel like your home.

TV/DVD

BED/BEDDING
-Queen bed with comfortable mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets.
- Four pillows, comforter, quilt and throw.
We know when you're away from home you want to sleep well and a really comfortable bed, is important. In fact some guests have said its the most comfortable airbnb bed they've ever slept in!

BATHROOM
-The bathroom is adjacent to the bed and has shower, toilet and sink.
-There is an on demand hot water system
-We provide body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
- Plush cotton towels and face cloths.

AMENITIES
- There is a mini fridge/freezer, toaster oven, microwave, French press and electric kettle.
- There is a BBQ charcoal grill available for your use - you will need to purchase charcoal.
- There isn't a kitchen sink, but there is an enamel basin for doing dishes, (use water from bathroom sink).
- Kitchen area is stocked plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, wine opener, salt and pepper, sugar, assorted teas.


HEAT/AC
- We added a propane stove which keeps the cabin toasty and on really cold nights in January and February we can set up additional heat if you need it.
- in the summer we install a window AC

PRIVATE GARDEN AREA (behind guest house)

WOOD FIRED SAUNA
We have a wood fired sauna that we’ve added to our property, our guests are welcome to experience it, if you request in advance. It is an added amenity for $40.

FIREPIT
There is a firepit behind the guest house that you are welcome to use, please notify us before lighting as we have to get permission from the fire department. Fires may be lit after 5pm with permission from the fire department. There are many places in the area to purchase bundles of fire wood - Mr Mike’s or Market Basket.

BBQ
We have a Weber charcoal grill if you'd like to BBQ.

EAT AL FRESCO
Enjoy eating al fresco in your own private area behind the guest house equipped with table and chairs.

HAMMOCK
There is a hammock just by the guest house.

EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK OUT
if our cleaning schedule allows we may be able to accommodate earlier check In/later check out. The fee is $50.

While you may be coming to unwind, we have included a smart TV so you can sign into your favorite apps there is also a DVD player if you'd like to watch a movie. Bring your favorite book and relax. We now have high speed Internet service so we can welcome digital nomads but we invite you to enjoy a quieter pace where you leave technology behind and enjoy a retreat of peacefulness

The guest house is located just over a mile from the village center of the historic town of Fitzwilliam. We are 88 miles from Boston Logan Airport and 55 miles from Manchester.

Guest access
As you drive onto the property you will park just beyond the guest house in the parking on the left. In addition to the guest house you can use all the outdoor area to the left and behind it which provides ample shade in the summer.

If you're using GPS enter 35 Richmond road, 314 says you've arrived when you get to the cemetery. Cross over Rhododendron road and stay on Richmond Road, for about .75 mile, our home is on the right.

Other things to note
You can buy groceries at Market basket and Hannafords which are six miles away in Rindge.
Mr Mikes convenience store is open til 11 pm in Fitzwilliam
If you like downhill skiing we recommend Mount Snow which is 59 miles away and Crotched Mountain is 30 miles or Granite Gorge 20 miles away

Neighborhood highlights

Founded in 1764, Fitzwilliam remains almost untouched, the village common is like a Christmas card from days gone by with a steepled town hall and houses that date back to the 1850s.

The town is home to pristine Laurel Lake, a spring fed lake for summer swimming, kayaking and fishing and Rhodendron State Park is a must see especially in July when it is in full bloom. Here is a link to a video on the park. (URL HIDDEN)

Mount Mondanock is five miles away in Jaffrey - it's the most climbed mountain in the world! Or gap mountain is an easier climb about ten minutes away on the way to Troy

The recreational Cheshire railroad trail runs behind the property for hiking and cross country skiing.
For outdoor enthusiasts there are plenty of things to do from downhill skiing cross country skiing and hiking

If you plan to pick up groceries Market basket and Hannafords are six miles away in Rindge

We are ten minute drive from Franklin Pierce university and twenty minutes from Keene State University.
