Neighborhood highlights

Located about a mile north of downtown Atlanta is Piedmont Park. Referred to by many as Georgia's Central Park, the 189-acre park was designed by the Olmsted brothers, the sons of Frederick Law Olmsted who's famous for designing New York's Central Park. Piedmont Park is technically located in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta. The major streets that border the park are 10th Street, Piedmont Road and Monroe Drive. Inside the park there are many features such as a dog park, water fountains, a skate park, gardens and wide-open fields to enjoy. There are also new event facilities and an expansive aquatic facility. We highly suggest consulting a map of Piedmont Park before your outing to maximize your enjoyment.

Naturally, most of the folks who live around Atlanta's Piedmont Park enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, jogging and swimming—all things you can do there. And of course they often enjoy these activities with four-legged friends. MARTA and other public transportation options are nearby, and many residents park their cars and seek other modes of travel. There's also incredibly easy access to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This Atlanta community is on the go.


Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s “Common Ground” since 1904, is located approximately 2 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The park runs along 10th Street (a block west of 10th & Monroe Avenue to a block east of 10th & Piedmont Avenue) and Piedmont Avenue (12th & Piedmont to just before 15th & Piedmont) in midtown Atlanta. The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
