Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
The perfect place for to wake up in the trees.

The space
The house is situated in a small lake community with access to docks, a beach, fishing & canoeing. It's only a 15 min drive from Lake Wallenpaupack, and close to quaint little towns, state forests, antique stores, local markets, and Woodloch resort & spa. Here you will find a hot tub, a fire place, high speed Wi-Fi, record player with record collection, board games, fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels, comfortable beds, and modern furniture.
The space is well-suited for a couple, a small family, or groups.

My fully-furnished 2-BR cabin is located only 90 miles from Manhattan in the Pocono lake region. The house is situated in a quiet lake community with access to docks, beach, and fishing (with PA permit of course) and canoeing . It's only a 15 min drive from Lake Wallenpaupack, and around the area you can find skiing, hiking, tubing, waterfalls, state forests, antique stores, farm stands, local markets, and Woodloch resort and spa.

The cabin rests on a one-acre lot in the Paupacken lake community, only a 5 min walk to a fishing / canoe dock and a 15 min walk to the beach. The community is packed full of soaring trees, boulders, and streams--and also cardinals, turkeys, foxes, and lots of deer who often laze around in my yard : ) A fire pit, a wraparound deck, outdoor seating and grill complete the outdoor experience.

Inside, the fire place fills the cabin with coziness and warmth. Features and amenities include ceiling fans, electric baseboard heaters in every room, Internet/Wi-Fi, record player with record collection, board games, fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels, a pre-packed beach bag with beach towels and lawn chairs, comfortable beds, and modern furniture.

The space is well-suited for a couple, a small family, or a few friends. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and the upstairs bedroom has a sets of sturdy, comfortable twin bunk beds.

Other things to note
There is no TV but there is a projector with a rouku and the internet is fast enough to stream on your laptop : )

Neighborhood highlights

If you can pull yourself away from the comforts of the cabin, you'll have lots to do both in the Paupacken community and in the surrounding area. Inside the community, you're just a 15-minute walk from the closest dock where you can take out my 14ft canoe to fish and paddle around the beautiful 230 acre lake. This glacial lake is one of the cleanest ones you'll find in Northeast Pennsylvania. (This is due in part to the fact that power boats are not allowed on the lake) The lake is stocked with sunfish, perch, and walleye – it's a regular fisherman's delight. In summertime, head down to the beach to lay out or jump off the floating dock or to the large pavilion to grill up some lunch while playing lawn games, or just explore the woods and creeks right across the road from the house. There are also tubes and floats in the garage available for use.

Outside of the community, you're just a short drive away from excellent hiking, quaint strips of shops and restaurants (including the beautiful Settlers Inn with full lunch and dinner menu and live music while you eat, and the glass bar at ledges where you can have drinks and tapas over looking a waterfall in the warmer months, and my favorite farm to table spot dyberry forks), tubing, horseback riding, petting farms, golf courses, farmers' markets and home-baked goods, antique stores, flea markets, snow tubing, skiing, and family fun parks.
