Our guests have access to the entire chalet, save owner's cabinets and linen closet.

Our gated community has ski-in/ski-out access to Bear Mountain Ski Resort, with access point adjacent to our patio. We have newly remodeled pickleball courts and spa area. The spa, pickleball courts and resort access are subject to
COVID-19 state and federal restrictions.

In an effort to protect guest and owners from fraudulent overnight rentals, the City of Big Bear Lake requires a virtual proof of identification at the time of check-in, a signed short-term rental agreement that identifies overnight guests and a signed acknowledgment of their Good Neighbor Policy.

Parking is allowed for a maximum of three vehicles. License plate number(s) need to be provided to enter the gated community. Depending on the size of your vehicles, one to two vehicles can be parked inside the garage. A second space is reserved in front of the garage. A third vehicle may be parked in the unreserved common area. However, a space in the unreserved common area is not guaranteed. Two parking permits/tags are provided for parking inside the gated complex. Permits must be displayed in your vehicle during your stay, and returned upon your departure. Guests must keep garage door closed.

The cabin is protected by an external security camera system when the property in vacant. The system is deactivated during all guest stays, after check-in confirmation.

Staying in a ski in/ski out unit on the slopes can come with noise from snow making equipment and grooming operations. We want our guests to have a restful night’s sleep, and provide Dohm sound conditioners in each bedroom, which reduces outside noise.

Slope Side Chalet is located in the Moonridge area of Big Bear Lake. You will be in the heart of the action during the Winter skiing months. During the Spring, Summer and Fall months, this area is known to be more relaxing. It is adjacent to the Nation Forest open space, and is accessible for hiking and biking. The town home is directly across the street from the golf course, so bring your clubs when the course is open. You will also be a short walk to the Big Bear Zoo. A really fun experience on weekends in October is the Big Bear Zoo Night Walks. Bring your flashlights and get to see all the zoo's nocturnal animals when they're the most active at night.

We are so lucky to have lived in southern California our whole lives. It sometimes amazes us that we live in a part of the world that so many people want to visit. We both come from big families. Until recently, Stephen's family has owned a cabin in Big Bear since before he was born. We missed it too much and decided to get our own slice of "Bearadise". We love traveling and enjoying other cultures, and have visited approximately 25 countries. When we're not traveling, we enjoy spending time with family and friends, photography, kayaking and volunteering. We are the type of hosts who want you to truly enjoy our cabin. We have great memories in Big Bear and hope we can help your family create your own memories. We are very respectful, and simply ask our guest to be the same towards our home. Our ideal guests would believe in the "Golden Rule" and hopefully become returning guests. If you're looking for a party pad or a place to crash with a bus load of your friends, there are plenty of other cabins that will meet your needs. Ours would not be the place for you.
